Once a Gurudev was narrating an instructive story on ego to his disciple.

Two beautiful cities were situated on both sides of a huge river which was evergreen. On the other side of the river there was a great and huge temple of God.

There was a king on this side of the river. The king had a lot of ego. Whatever he did, he showed arrogance. There was also a slave, very humble and gentle!

Once the king and the slave both went to the river, the king expressed his desire to see the Dev temple built on the other side. There were two boats. It was night time. In one boat, the king was riding and in the other, the slave was riding. There was a big distance between the two boats. !

The king kept rowing all night but could not reach the other side of the river. When the sun rose, the king saw that the slave was coming here from the other side of the river. The servant came and started praising the Dev temple, then the king said that you were in the temple all night! Das said yes and Rajaji what a beautiful deity statue it was but why didn’t you come!

Hey, I paddled the whole night but…..

Gurudev asked the disciple, tell me that the king kept rowing all night but still did not reach the other side? Why did this happen ? When one hour is enough time to reach the other side!

Disciple – O Nath, I am your innocent servant, what should I know, God please tell me!

Rishivar – O Vats, the king rowed the whole night but he did not open the rope tied to the peg!

And you keep rowing for the whole life, but until you uproot the peg of ego and throw it away, you will not cut the rope of attachment, your boat will not reach the temple of God!

Hey Vats, as long as the creature keeps itself in front of it, no good will happen to it!

Don’t say that I did this, don’t say that this is mine, say that whatever is there belongs to Sadguru and Samarth Satta, nothing is mine, whatever is there, it all belongs to Him!

Don’t put yourself in front, keep the powerful power in front! And the able power is either Sadguru or Ishtadev, if you stay as a king in the court of Narayan, then it will not work, there you will stay as a slave, only then there is any meaning!

The one who is suffering from ego walks like a king and the one who walks like a slave always remains in profit.

Therefore, *walk in the court of Narayan as a slave, not a king!*
