Dikh jai upban bar sar bigsit bahu kanj.
Temple a beautiful there sitting woman penance beam.

Meaning-
Going inside, he saw a beautiful upvan (garden) and a pond, in which many lotuses were in bloom. There is a beautiful temple there, in which a Tapomurti woman is sitting.

Exhausted, distraught with the fear of not being able to find Sita Mata in due time, give proper guidance to the monkey group, Siddha Tapaswini ‘Swayamprabha’, who told the address of Lanka, could not get any special importance after Valmiki Ramayana. May be, this character’s lack of direct relation with Shri Ram is the reason for this.

Like Shabari, Swayamprabha was also waiting for Shri Ram, living a modest life in a secluded and peaceful environment. But she was a more resolved and accomplished ascetic than Shabri. Their mention comes at the end of Kishkindhakand, when Hanuman, Angad, Jamwant etc. go out in search of Sitaji.

Even after wandering a lot, no clue of Sitaji can be found. The time given by Sugriva also comes to an end. The tired party is in a bad condition due to hunger and thirst. All the people sit down in one place.

Then Hanumanji sees birds with wet wings coming out of a dark cave. From which Hanumanji understands that there is a reservoir inside the cave. The cave was absolutely dark and very scary. All the people enter inside holding each other’s hand. There the hand could not understand the hand.

After walking a long distance suddenly light appears. They all find themselves in a very idyllic, very heavenly place. The whole group stands in astonishment. The greenery spread all around, the trees laden with fruits, the cool water springs, the light breeze removes everyone’s tiredness.

In the meantime, a patient and serious sadhvi, wrapped in light, is seen coming from the front. The one who despite wearing Valkal, Jata etc seems to be filled with spiritual aura. Hanumanji goes ahead and bows down and tells the intention of his arrival, and cannot even hide his curiosity to know about that mysterious world.

Sadhvi, who is Swayamprabha, welcomes everyone with compassion and asks them to quench their hunger and thirst with the ingredients available there. After that she narrates the whole thing while sitting with a calm mind.

This entire garden was built by Maya, the engineer of the gods. On its completion, Maya dedicated it to Devraj Indra.

At his behest, when Maya talked about marrying his beloved Hema to get something in return, Devraj became enraged, because Hema was a goddess and Maya was a demon. Indra expelled Maya, but entrusted the care of the garden to Hema. After Hema, its responsibility fell on Swayamprabha.

After telling this much, on asking the reason for his group of monkeys wandering in the jungles, Hanumanji tells them the whole story of Ram and also tells about the time period that if Sita Mata’s address is not found before the end of one month, then all of us will die. death is certain.

Swayamprabha tells them not to worry, you all have reached your destination. Saying this she asks everyone to close their eyes. The next moment everyone finds themselves on the sea shore. Swayamprabha goes back to her cave after telling about Sitaji being in Lanka.

Badriban, where did you sleep?
Ur Dhari Ram’s feet, the worshiper of all ages.

Meaning-
Keeping the command of the Lord on her head and the couple’s feet of Shri Ramji, whom even Brahma and Mahesh worship, she (Swayamprabha) went to Badrikashram in her heart.

The further story is known to all of you. This whole episode is interesting in itself, as well as an important turning point in the story, but don’t know why such an important character like Swayamprabha remained neglected.
