हिंदूधर्म में भगवान श्रीविष्णु की कृपा बरसाने वाली एकादशी व्रत का बहुत ज्यादा महत्व है। यह व्रत हर महीने दो बार मास के कृष्णपक्ष और शुक्लपक्ष में पड़ता है, लेकिन इस व्रत का महत्व तब और भी ज्यादा बढ़ जाता है जब यह चैत्र मास के शुक्लपक्ष में पड़ता है। चैत्र मास के शुक्लपक्ष में पड़ने वाली एकादशी को कामदा एकादशी कहा जाता है, जिसका व्रत विधि-विधान से रखने पर बड़ी से बड़ी मनोकामना पूरी हो जाती है। प्रस्तुत है श्रीहरि की कृपा बरसाने वाली इस कामदा एकादशी व्रत की विधि, कथा और पूजा का शुभ मुहूर्त-
शुभ मुहूर्त-
हिन्दू पंचांग के अनुसार इस साल चैत्र मास के शुक्लपक्ष की एकादशी तिथि ०१ अप्रैल २०२३ को पूर्वाह्न ०१:५८ बजे से प्रारंभ होकर ०२ अप्रैल २०२३ को प्रात:काल ०४:१९ बजे तक रहेगी। ऐसे में भगवान विष्णु की कृपा बरसाने वाला कामदा एकादशी व्रत ०१ अप्रैल को रखा जाएगा, जबकि इस व्रत का पारण ०२ अप्रैल २०२३ को दोपहर ०१:४० से ०४:१० के बीच किया जा सकेगा।
पूजा विधि-
भगवान विष्णु का आशीर्वाद पाने के लिए कामदा एकादशी व्रत वाले दिन सुबह जल्दी उठें और तन-मन से पवित्र होने के बाद सबसे पहले सूर्य नारायण को जल देकर उनकी पूजा करें। इसके बाद भगवान विष्णु के लिए रखे जाने वाले इस व्रत का संकल्प लें।
इसके बाद अपने घर के ईशान कोण में किसी चौकी पर पीला कपड़ा बिछाकर श्रीविष्णु की मूर्ति या चित्र को रखें और उसे गंगाजल से पवित्र करें। इसके बाद उनकी पीले पुष्प, पीले फल, पीले चंदन और पीले रंग की मिठाई का भोग लगाकर पूजा करें। इसके बाद कामदा एकादशी व्रत की कथा कहें। पूजा के अंत में भगवान विष्णु की शुद्ध घी से बने दीये से आरती करके सभी को प्रसाद बांटें।
कथा-
हिंदू मान्यता के अनुसार जिस एकादशी व्रत की कथा कहने से साधक पर भगवान श्रीविष्णु की पूरी कृपा बरसती है वो कुछ इस प्रकार है-
मान्यता है कि रत्नपुर नाम के एक राज्य में पुण्डरीक नाम का राजा राज्य करता था, जिसके राज्य में सभी लोग सुख-शांति से रहा करते थे। एक दिन उनके दरबार में जब एक गंधर्व गाते-गाते अपनी पत्नी की याद में खो गया और सुर बिगड़ गए तो राजा ने उसे राक्षस होने का श्राप दे दिया।
इस घटना से गंधर्व की पत्नी बहुत दु:खी हुई और वह श्रृंगी ऋषि के आश्रम पहुंची। उसने श्रृंगी ऋषि से अपने पति की श्राप से मुक्ति का उपाय पूछा। तब श्रंगी ऋषि ने उसे चैत्र शुक्ल पक्ष की उस एकादशी तिथि का व्रत करने को कहा, जिसे विधि-विधान से करने पर साधक की सभी कामनाएं शीघ्र ही पूरी हो जाती हैं। मान्यता है कि इसके बाद गंधर्व की पत्नी इस व्रत को पूरी आस्था और विश्वास के साथ किया, जिसके पुण्यफल से गंधर्व को राक्षस योनि से मुक्ति मिल गई।

According to the Hindu calendar, this year the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month will start from 01:58 AM on 01 April 2023 and will continue till 04:19 AM on 02 April 2023. In such a situation, the Kamada Ekadashi fast, which showers the blessings of Lord Vishnu, will be observed on April 01, while this fast can be celebrated on April 02, 2023, between 01:40 to 04:10.
Worship method-
To get the blessings of Lord Vishnu, wake up early in the morning on the day of Kamda Ekadashi fast and after purifying your body and mind, first offer water to Surya Narayan and worship him. After this, take a pledge to keep this fast for Lord Vishnu.
After this, put a yellow cloth on a post in the north-east corner of your house and keep the idol or picture of Sri Vishnu and sanctify it with Ganges water. After this, worship them by offering them yellow flowers, yellow fruits, yellow sandalwood and yellow sweets. After this tell the story of Kamda Ekadashi fast. At the end of the puja, perform aarti of Lord Vishnu with a lamp made of pure ghee and distribute prasad to everyone.
Story-
According to the Hindu belief, by telling the story of Ekadashi fast, the complete blessings of Lord Vishnu are showered on the seeker, it is something like this-
It is believed that a king named Pundrik used to rule in a state named Ratnapur, in whose state all the people used to live peacefully. One day in his court, when a Gandharva got lost in the memory of his wife while singing and his tone deteriorated, the king cursed him to be a demon.
Gandharva’s wife was very sad due to this incident and she reached Shringi Rishi’s ashram. She asked Shringi Rishi the way to get rid of her husband’s curse. Then Shringi Rishi told him to fast on that Ekadashi date of Chaitra Shukla Paksha, which if done according to the rules and regulations, all the wishes of the seeker are fulfilled soon. It is believed that after this Gandharva’s wife observed this fast with full faith and belief, as a result of which Gandharva got freedom from the demonic vagina.
