In the war of Mahabharata, Dronacharya was killing the Pandava army. They used to use divine weapons again and again. Whoever the hero of the Pandava side fell in front of him, he used to kill him. The whole army was getting distracted. Even the big maharathis were worried.
“No one can defeat Acharya if he has weapons in his hands. Victory is possible only if he keeps the weapon himself. At the beginning of the war, he himself told that when some very unpleasant news is told by a trusted person, he leaves the weapon and goes to meditation. ‘ Shri Krishnachandra, the disaster helper of the Pandavas, reminded everyone of this.
Bhimsen thought of a solution. They started fighting with Ashwatthama, the son of Drona. While fighting, Bhima got down from his chariot and by putting a mace under Ashwatthama’s chariot, threw him far away from the battlefield along with the chariot. There was also an elephant named Ashwatthama in the Kaurava army. Bhimsen killed him with a single stroke and then went in front of Dronacharya and started crying out – ‘ Ashwatthama has been killed. Ashwatthama was killed.
Dronacharya spoke, but he did not believe Bhimsen’s words. He moved his chariot to ask Yudhishthira the truth. Here Shri Krishnachandrane Yudhishthirse | Said – ‘ Maharaj! There is no other way for your side to win. You must say that Ashwatthama was killed on the Acharya’s request. You say this on my request.
Dharmaraj Yudhishthira was not ready to lie in any way; But he could not even avoid what Shrikrishna Chandra said. Dronacharya came to him and asked whether Bhimsen’s words were true, otherwise he said with great pain – ‘Ashwaththama has been killed.’ Absolutely untrue was not told to him even then. ‘Man or elephant’ came out of his mouth, but as soon as Yudhishthira said ‘Ashwatthama is killed’, Shri Krishna Chandra started blowing his five-born conch shell. Dronacharya could not hear Yudhishthira’s next words because of that conch shell.
Dharmaraj Yudhishthira’s chariot always remained four fingers above the earth due to the influence of his truthfulness; But as soon as he spoke this deceitful sentence, the wheels of his chariot touched the ground and further his chariot also started moving on the ground like other chariots. Due to the sin of this untruth, even after going to heaven physically, he had to see hell once.
