गतांक से आगे –
सर चॉर्ल्ज़ मेटकोफ ने लालाबाबू को गिरफ़्तार करके रातों रात दिल्ली तो बुलवा लिया ..पर मथुरा भरतपुर तक अंग्रेजों के विरुद्द आन्दोलन शुरू हो गये …ईस्ट इण्डिया कम्पनी को अपनी नाराज़गी से भरतपुर राजा ने अवगत कराया ..तो ईस्टइण्डिया कम्पनी ने मेट कोफ से इस बारे में जवाब माँगा …जवाब में कोई ठोस तर्क नही था …”लालाबाबू को गिरफ़्तार क्यों किया” इस का कोई तार्किक उत्तर न दे सके मेटकोफ ..उल्टे फटकार और सुननी पड़ी अपने उच्च अधिकारियों से । इतना ही नही भक्त का अपराध किया था …इसके परिणाम स्वरूप मेटकोफ का एक गम्भीर दुर्घटना में पैर भी चला गया …अंग्रेजों ने लालाबाबू को ससम्मान दिल्ली से वृन्दावन भेज दिया था।
पर लाला बाबू दुखी हैं ….जब उन्हें पता चला कि मेटकोफ का ऐक्सिडेंट हो गया है और वो अब पहले की तरह चल नही सकते …तो लाला बाबू ने एक पत्र लिखकर उन्हें अपनी सम्वेदना भी व्यक्त करी ….पर मेटकोफ ने क्षमा माँगते हुये लाला बाबू को पत्र लिखा था …कि आपके प्रति मेरे द्वारा हुये अपराध का परिणाम ही है ये कि मेरा पैर भी गया और नौकरी भी ।
अब अपने मध्य लाला बाबू को पाकर वृन्दावन वासी बहुत प्रसन्न हैं ….लाला बाबू ने दिन रात एक करके मन्दिर के कामों में अपने आपको झोंक दिया था …मन्दिर सुन्दर से सुन्दर बने …जब हम अपना घर बनाते हैं तो कितना ध्यान रखते हैं …फिर ये तो ठाकुर जी का घर है ….लाला बाबू – जैसे जैसे मन्दिर बन रहा था उसका कार्य पूर्णता की ओर अग्रसर हो रहा था ….ये बहुत आनंदित थे ….इनको बहुत ख़ुशी मिल रही थी ….भरतपुर के महाराजा भी आए , मन्दिर का अवलोकन किया तो उन्होंने भी लाला बाबू की भूरी भूरी प्रशंसा की । और उनसे भी सहयोग लेने की प्रार्थना करने लगे …..पर लाला बाबू ने हाथ जोड़कर मना कर दिया ।
बन गया दिव्य भव्य मन्दिर ।
उस दिन पूरा बृजमण्डल उमड पड़ा था …सबके मुख में बस यही चर्चा थी की धन को धन्य तो लाला बाबू ने ही किया । मन्दिर लोग बनाते ही हैं ….पर अपने भाग की सम्पत्ति से मन्दिर बनाना …किसी से कुछ न लेते हुए मन्दिर बनाना ….और उस मन्दिर को बृजवासियों को सौंप देना ये बहुत बड़ी बात थी …..श्रीवृन्दावन ही क्यों पूरा बृजमण्डल उमड़ पड़ा था मन्दिर दर्शन के लिए ….भण्डार खोल दिया था लाला बाबू ने …..भण्डारा अखण्ड चल रहा था …लोग प्रसाद पा रहे थे और सुन्दर नयनाभिराम श्रीविग्रह श्रीकृष्णचन्द्र जू और श्रीराधिका जू , का दर्शनकर आनंदित हो रहे थे ।
विधि विधान से विग्रह प्राणप्रतिष्ठा के लिए लाला बाबू ने एक सौ आठ विद्वान बुलाये …विद्वान कुछ काशी और गया के भी थे …..सब लोगों ने उच्च स्वर में वैदिक मंत्रों का उच्चारण करते हुए विग्रह प्राण प्रतिष्ठा करवाई ….और लाला बाबू को अन्तिम में आशीर्वाद देते हुये कहा …यजमान प्रतिष्ठा हो गयी श्रीविग्रह की …अब इन विग्रह में प्राण आगये हैं ।
हजारों लोग खड़े हैं ….सब देख रहे हैं लाला बाबू को …काशी गया आदि के पण्डितों के मन में अब यही बात है कि “दक्षिणा दो हम जायें” । पर लाला भी पक्के थे ….श्रीविग्रह के आगे जाकर खड़े हो गये , हाथ जोड़कर खड़े हैं ….फिर एकाएक पण्डितों की ओर मुड़कर पूछने लगे ….क्या सच में इनमें प्राण आगये ? विद्वान बोले …हाँ , इनमें अब प्राण हैं ।
तो परीक्षा हो जाये ! लाला बाबू ने विद्वानों की ओर देखा ।
काशी आदि के विद्वान थोड़ा झिझके ….पर उनमें से जो बृजवासी पण्डित थे वो बोल उठे …हाँ , हाँ कर ले लाला परीक्षा । “रुई विग्रह के नाक में लगाओ” लाला ने पण्डितों को कहा । पण्डितों ने नाक में रुई लगा दी …..पर रुई गिर गयी ….लाला फिर बोले ….इस बार दोनों नाकों में लगाओ और नीचे से रुई को पकड़े रहो । पण्डित ने यही किया ….हजारों लोग देख रहे हैं ….कोई कह रहा है ….इस तरह की परीक्षा नही करनी चाहिये …..कोई कह रहा है …भगवान तो विश्वास के वश में हैं …..इस तरह के अविश्वास से कुछ फल नही मिलेगा । पर लाला को विश्वास था इसलिये ये सब करवा रहे थे । तभी पण्डित चिल्लाये ….लाला इधर आ ….आगे आ ….लाला बाबू आगे गये ….तो क्या देखते हैं ….रुई हिल रही है ठाकुर जी के स्वाँस के कारण ….लाला बाबू ने रुई हटा अपना हाथ लगा दिया विग्रह की नासिका में ….सब लोग देख रहे हैं …साँसें चल रही है विग्रह की …लोगों के सामने विग्रह के वस्त्र हटा दिये लाला बाबू ने ….और वक्षस्थल में अपना हाथ रख दिया …..धड़कनें चल रही हैं । आहा ! भाव में भरकर लाला बाबू तो नाचने लगे ….वो जयजयकार करने लगे …उनके नेत्रों से अश्रु बह रहे थे ….वो भाव में देह भान भी भूल गये ….नाचते नाचते मूर्छित ही गये । बृजवासी आशीष दे रहे हैं लाला बाबू को …उनके ऊपर पुष्प बरसाये जा रहे थे ….जय हो जय हो …की गूंज से श्रीधाम गूंज उठा था ।

Sir Charles Metcalf arrested Lalababu and called him to Delhi overnight ..But the movement against the British started till Mathura-Bharatpur…The king of Bharatpur informed the East India Company about his displeasure ..So the East India Company asked Metcalfe Asked for an answer about … there was no solid logic in the answer … “Why Lalababu was arrested” Metkoff could not give any logical answer to this .. on the contrary reprimanded and had to listen to his higher officials. Not only this, he had committed the crime of a devotee… As a result of this, Metcoff also lost his leg in a serious accident… The British had respectfully sent Lalababu from Delhi to Vrindavan.
But Lala Babu is sad….When he came to know that Metkoff has had an accident and he cannot walk like before…So Lala Babu wrote a letter and expressed his sympathy to him….But Metkoff apologized to Lala Wrote a letter to Babu… that the result of my crime against you is that I have lost my leg as well as my job.
Now the residents of Vrindavan are very happy to have Lala Babu in their midst….Lala Babu had thrown himself day and night in the works of the temple…the temple should become more beautiful…how much care is taken when we build our house…then This is the house of Thakur ji….Lala Babu – As the temple was being built, its work was progressing towards completion….He was very happy….He was getting a lot of happiness….The Maharaja of Bharatpur also came, the temple When observed, he also praised Lala Babu. And started praying for cooperation from them too…..but Lala Babu refused with folded hands.
A grand divine temple has been built.
On that day the whole Brijmandal was filled with excitement… The only talk in everyone’s mouth was that Lala Babu had blessed the wealth. People always build temples….but building a temple with their share of property…building a temple without taking anything from anyone….and handing over that temple to the Brijwasis was a big deal…..Why was the entire Brijmandal overflowing with Shri Vrindavan? Lala Babu had opened the Bhandara for temple darshan….Bhandara was running uninterrupted… People were getting Prasad and were enjoying seeing the beautiful Nayanabhiram Shrivigraha Shri Krishnachandra Ju and Shriradhika Ju.
Lala Babu called one hundred and eight scholars for the consecration of idols by law… some scholars were also from Kashi and Gaya….all the people recited Vedic mantras loudly….and Lala Babu was given the last I said while giving blessings…the idol has become the host…Now these idols have come to life.
Thousands of people are standing… everyone is watching Lala Babu… Now the pundits of Kashi Gaya etc. have only one thing in their mind that “Let us go to Dakshina”. But Lala was also firm….He went and stood in front of the idol, standing with folded hands….Then suddenly turning to the pundits, he asked….did he really come to life? Scholars said… yes, they have life now.
So let the test happen! Lala Babu looked at the scholars.
The scholars of Kashi etc. hesitated a bit….but the Brajvasi Pandits among them said…yes, yes, do the Lala Pariksha. “Put cotton in the nose of the deity,” Lala told the pundits. The pundits put cotton in the nose….but the cotton fell off….Lala again said….This time apply it in both the nostrils and keep holding the cotton from below. This is what Pandit did….thousands of people are watching….someone is saying….this type of test should not be done…..someone is saying…God is under the control of faith…..something from such disbelief Will not get fruit. But Lala had faith that’s why he was getting all these done. That’s why Pandit shouted….Lala come here….Come forward….Lala Babu went ahead….So what do we see….The cotton is shaking because of Thakur ji’s breath….Lala Babu removed the cotton and put his hand on the idol’s nostril. In….everybody is watching…the deity is breathing…in front of the people, Lala Babu removed the deity’s clothes…and put his hand in the chest….the heart is beating. Ouch! Filled with emotion, Lala Babu started dancing….he started chanting…tears were flowing from his eyes….he forgot his body consciousness in emotion….he fainted while dancing. Brijvasis are giving blessings to Lala Babu… flowers were being showered on him….Shridham echoed with the echo of Jai Ho Jai Ho.
