एक भंगिन शौचालय स्वच्छ करके जब चलने लगी तब किसी भले आदमीने कुतूहलवश पूछा—’तुम्हें यह काम करनेमें घृणा नहीं लगती ? तुम इतनी दुर्गन्ध सह कैसे लेती हो ?’भंगिनने धीरेसे उत्तर दिया – ‘हमारे बड़े लोगोंने बताया है कि सृष्टिकर्ताने हमें मनुष्यमात्रकी माताका पद दिया है। अपनी संतानका मल स्वच्छ करनेमें माताको कभी घृणा लगी है या दुर्गन्ध आयी है ? ‘
