[भज] निताई-गौर राधेश्याम [जप] हरेकृष्ण हरेराम
नीलाचल में प्रभु का प्रत्यागमन
उद्दामदामनकदामगणाभिराम
मारामरामविररामगृहीतनाम।
कारुण्यधाम कनकोज्ज्वलगौरधाम
चैतन्यनाम परमं कलयाम धाम।।
बड़ौदा से चलकर महाप्रभु अहमदाबाद आये, वहाँ पर दो बंगाली वैष्णवों से प्रभु की भेंट हुई। उनसे नवद्वीप का समाचार पाकर प्रभु की पूर्वस्मृति पुन: जागृत हो उठी। उनसे कुशलक्षेम पूछकर प्रभु ने द्वारका के लिये प्रस्थान किया। द्वारका जी के मन्दिर में जाकर प्रभु आनन्द में मग्न होकर नृत्य कीर्तन करने लगे। वहाँ से समुद्र किनारे होते हुए सोमनाथ शिव जी के दर्शनों के लिये प्रभासक्षेत्र में आये, जहाँ पर प्राची सरस्वती हैं। इस प्रकार समस्त तीर्थों में भ्रमण करके अब प्रभु की इच्छा पुन: नीलाचल लौटने की हुई। इसलिये गोदावरी नदी के किनारे किनारे होते हुए पुन: विद्यानगर में पहुँच गये।
महाप्रभु के आने का समाचार पाते ही राय रामानन्द जी उसी समय प्रभु के दर्शनों के निमित्त दौड़े आये। प्रभु ने उनका गाढ़ालिंगन किया। राय ने विनीतभाव से कहा- ‘प्रभो ! इस अधम को आप भूले नहीं हैं और इसकी स्मृति अभी तक आपके हृदय में बनी हुई है, इस बात को स्मरण करके मैं प्रसन्नता के कारण अपने अंगों में फूला नहीं समाता। आज अपने पुन: दर्शन देकर मुझे अपनी परम कृपा का यथार्थ में ही पात्र बना लिया।’
प्रभु ने कहा- ‘राय महाशय, यथार्थ में तो आपके ही दर्शन से मेरे सब तीर्थ सफल हो गये थे। फिर भी मैं और तीर्थों में वैसे ही चला गया। जितना सुख मुझे यहाँ आपके साथ मिला था, उतना अन्यत्र कहीं भी नहीं मिला। अब फिर मैं उस आनन्द को प्राप्त करने आपके पास आया हूँ। कहावत है- ‘लाभाल्लोभ: प्रजायते।’ अर्थात जितना भी लाभ होता है, उतना ही अधिक लोभ बढ़ता जाता है। इसलिये अब तो यही सोचकर आया हूँ कि आपके ही साथ निरन्तर वास करके उस आनन्द रस का आस्वादन करता रहूँ।’
रामानन्द जी ने अत्यन्त ही संकोच के साथ कहा- ‘प्रभो! मैंने आपकी आज्ञा शिरोधार्य करके महाराज को राज काज से अवकाश देने की प्रार्थना की थी। उन्होंने मेरी प्रार्थना को स्वीकार करके बुलाया है। अब तो आपके चरणों में रहने का सम्भवतया सौभाग्य प्राप्त हो सके।’
प्रभु ने कहा- ‘इसीलिये तो मैं ही हूँ, अब आपको साथ लेकर ही पुरी चलूँगा।’
राय महाशय ने कुछ विवशता सी दिखाते हुए कहा- ‘प्रभो! मेरे साथ चलने में आपको कष्ट होगा। अभी मुझे बहुत से राज काज करने शेष हैं, फिर मेरे साथ हाथी घोड़े, नौकर, चाकर बहुतसे चलेंगे। उन सबके साथ आपको कष्ट होगा। इसलिये आप पहले अकेले ही पुरी पधारें, फिर मैं भी पीछे से आ जाऊँगा।’
प्रभु ने राय रामानन्दजी की इस बात को स्वीकार किया और ये तीन चार दिन विद्यानगर में रहकर जिस रास्ते से आये थे, उसी से अलालनाथ पहुँच गये। अलालनाथ पहुँचने पर प्रभु ने कृष्णदास के द्वारा नित्यानन्द आदि के समीप अपने आने का समाचार भेजा। ये लोग प्रभु की प्रतीक्षा में उसी प्रकार बैठे हुए थे जिस प्रकार अंगदादि वानर समुन्द्र को पार करके सीता जी की खोज के लिये हुए श्रीहनुमान जी की प्रतीक्षा में समुद्र के किनारे बैठे थे। प्रभु का समाचार पाते ही नित्यानन्दादि सभी भक्त प्रभु से मिलने के लिये दौड़े आये। रास्ते में दूर से ही आते हुए उन्होंने प्रभु को देखा। प्रभु को देखते ही सभी ने भूमि पर लोटकर प्रभु के चरणों में साष्टांग प्रणाम किया। प्रभु ने उन सबको प्रभु क्रमश: अपने हाथों से उठा उठाकर प्रेमालिंगन दान दिया। आज दो वर्षों के पश्चात प्रभु का प्रेमालिंगन पाकर सभी प्रेम में बेसुध हो गये और प्रेम के अश्रु बहाते हुए प्रभु के पीछे पीछे चले।
इतने में सामने से सार्वभौम भट्टाचार्य तथा गोपीनाथाचार्य प्रभु को आते हुए दिखायी दिये। प्रभु ने अस्त व्यस्त भाव से दौड़कर उनका जल्दी से आलिंगन करना चाहा, किन्तु वे इससे पहले ही प्रभु के चरणों में गिर पड़े। प्रभु ने उनको स्वयं उठाया, उनका आलिंगन किया और उनके वस्त्रों में लगी हुई धूलि को अपने हाथों से पोंछा। सभी लोग प्रभु के पीछे पीछे चले। सबसे पहले महाप्रभु जगन्नाथ जी के दर्शन के लिये गये। वहाँ के कर्मचारी प्रभु की प्रतीक्षा में सदा चिन्तित से बने रहते थे। सहसा प्रभु के आगमन का समाचार सुनकर सभी आनन्द के सहित नृत्य करने लगे। प्रभु ने भगवान को साष्टांग प्रणाम किया और भाँति-भाँति से स्तुति करने लगे। पुजारी ने आकर माला और प्रसाद प्रभु को भेंट किया। बहुत दिनों के पश्चात पुरुषोत्तमभगवान का महाप्रसाद पाकर प्रभु परम प्रसन्न हुए और प्रसाद को उसी समय उन्होंने पा लिया। फिर भक्तों के सहित मन्दिर की प्रदक्षिणा करते हुए प्रभु भट्टाचार्य सार्वभौम के घर आये। सार्वभौम ने प्रभु को भिक्षा के लिये निमन्त्रित किया और सभी भक्तों के सहित उन्होंने प्रभु को भिक्षा करायी।
प्रभु के रहने के लिये भट्टाचार्य ने महाराज प्रतापरुद्र जी को परामर्श करके महाराज के पुरोहित काशी मिश्र के एकान्त-निर्जन स्थान में पहले से ही प्रबन्ध कर रखा था। प्रभु को वह स्थान बहुत पसन्द आया और प्रभु उसी में रहने लगे।

Uddamadamanakadamaganabhiram Maramramvirramgrihitanaam. Karunyadham Kankojvalgaurdham Chaitanya is the supreme abode of Kali.
After walking from Baroda, Mahaprabhu came to Ahmedabad, where he met two Bengali Vaishnavas. After getting the news of Navadvipa from him, the former memory of the Lord re-awakened. After asking about his well-being, the Lord left for Dwarka. Going to the temple of Dwarka ji, the Lord started dancing and singing, being engrossed in joy. From there, going to the sea shore, Somnath came to Prabhaskshetra to see Lord Shiva, where Prachi Saraswati resides. After visiting all the pilgrimages in this way, now the Lord desired to return to Neelachal again. That’s why they reached Vidyanagar again by going along the banks of river Godavari.
As soon as he got the news of Mahaprabhu’s arrival, Rai Ramanand ji came running at the same time for the darshan of the Lord. The Lord hugged him deeply. Rai said humbly – ‘ Lord! You have not forgotten this adham and its memory is still in your heart, remembering this, I cannot contain my limbs due to happiness. Today, by giving me your darshan again, you have made me truly eligible for your supreme grace.’
The Lord said – ‘ Sir, in reality all my pilgrimages were successful because of your darshan. Still I went to other pilgrimages in the same way. As much happiness as I got here with you, I did not get that much anywhere else. Now again I have come to you to get that joy. There is a saying- ‘Labhallobh Prajayate’. That means, the more profit is made, the more greed increases. That’s why now I have come thinking that I should continue to taste that bliss by living with you continuously.’
Ramanand ji said with great hesitation – ‘ Lord! By obeying your orders, I had prayed to give leave to Maharaj from Raj Kaj. He has accepted my prayer and called me. Now at least I can get the good fortune of being at your feet.’
The Lord said- ‘That’s why I am the only one, now I will go to Puri only taking you with me.’
Showing some helplessness, Mr. Rai said – ‘Lord! You will find it difficult to walk with me. Now I have many secrets left to do, then many elephants, horses, servants, servants will walk with me. You will suffer with all of them. That’s why you first come to Puri alone, then I will also come from behind.’
Prabhu accepted this thing of Rai Ramanandji and after staying in Vidyanagar for three to four days, he reached Alalnath by the same route. On reaching Alalnath, the Lord sent the news of His arrival near Nityanand etc. through Krishnadas. These people were sitting waiting for the Lord in the same way as Angadadi and the monkeys were sitting on the seashore waiting for Lord Hanuman who had crossed the ocean to search for Sita. As soon as they got the news of the Lord, all the devotees of Nityanandadi came running to meet the Lord. On the way he saw the Lord coming from a distance. On seeing the Lord, everyone returned to the ground and prostrated at the feet of the Lord. The Lord lifted them all respectively from His hands and gave them a love hug. Today, after two years, after receiving the love of the Lord, everyone became unconscious in love and followed the Lord shedding tears of love.
Meanwhile, Sarvabhaum Bhattacharya and Gopinathacharya were seen coming to the Lord from the front. Prabhu wanted to run and hug him quickly, but before that he fell at the feet of Prabhu. The Lord personally picked him up, embraced him and wiped the dust off his clothes with his own hands. Everyone followed the Lord. First of all went to see Mahaprabhu Jagannath ji. The workers there were always worried while waiting for the Lord. Suddenly hearing the news of the Lord’s arrival, everyone started dancing with joy. The Lord prostrated before the Lord and started praising him in many ways. The priest came and presented garland and prasad to the Lord. After many days, the Lord was extremely pleased to receive the Mahaprasad of Lord Purushottam and received the Prasad at the same time. Then Prabhu Bhattacharya came to the house of Sarvabhaum while going around the temple along with the devotees. The sovereign invited the Lord for alms and along with all the devotees he made the Lord alms.
Bhattacharya, in consultation with Maharaj Prataparudra ji, had already made arrangements for the stay of the Lord in a secluded place of Maharaj’s priest Kashi Mishra. Prabhu liked that place very much and Prabhu started living in it.
