( नामकरण संस्कार )
ब्रह्म की जो आराधना करे वो “राधा” नही नही “ब्रह्म जिसकीआराधना करे वो राधा“श्रीराधा प्रेम हैप्रेम का मूर्तिमंत स्वरूपहै। श्रीराधा प्रेम का सच्चा अधिकारी कौन ? प्रेम का अधिकारीतो वही है जो अपने आपको प्रियतम में मिटा देनें की हिम्मतरखता हो अपना आस्तित्व ही जो मिटा सके उसे ही कहते हैं“प्रेम”।
मात्र रह जाए “प्रियतम” मैं मिट जाऊँ मैं न रहूँ बस तू रहे ।
हे वज्रनाभ इस प्रेम के रहस्य को समझना सरल नही हैनिःस्वार्थ की साधना किये बगैर ये “प्रेम साधना” अत्यन्तकठिन है जो मात्र “इससे क्या लाभ उससे क्या फायदा” इसीसोच से चलते हैं वो इस प्रेम के अधिकारी कहाँ?
हे यादवों में श्रेष्ठ वज्रनाभ “श्रीराधा” उस भावोन्माद का नाम हैजो अपने प्रेमास्पद के सिवा और कुछ चाहता नही
इतना कहकर फिर थोड़ी देर रुक गए महर्षि शाण्डिल्य नही नही प्रेमास्पद के सुख के लिये ही जो जीवन धारण किये हैंवही है श्रीराधा भाव प्रेम का उच्च शिखर है श्रीराधा भाव।
स्वसुख की किंचित् भी कामना न रह जाए रह जाए “बस तुमखुश रहो“तुम प्रसन्न रहो तुम आनन्दित हो तो मुझे परमानन्दकी प्राप्ति हो गयी मिल गयी मुझे मुक्ति मोक्ष या निर्वाण हेवज्रनाभ श्रीराधा भाव ऐसा उच्च भाव है तो विचार करो साक्षात्श्रीराधा क्या हैं ? श्रीराधा कहाँ स्थित होंगीं?
मैने कह दिया ना पहले ही “श्री राधा” यानि जिसकी आराधनास्वयं ब्रह्म करेहे वज्रनाभ श्रीराधा का नामकरण करते हुयेआचार्य गर्ग नें इसका अर्थ किया था।
श्रीराधा श्रीराधा श्रीराधा
महर्षि शाण्डिल्य भाव में डूब गए ।
वसुदेव ने मथुरा से अपने पुरोहित को भेजा आचार्य गर्ग को ।
गोकुल में जब आये तब मेरी ही कुटिया में आये थे।मैने उनकाअर्घ्य पाद्यादि से स्वागत कियातब बृजपति नन्द भी वही आगये।
“मैं नामकरण करने आया हूँ,मुझे वसुदेव नें भेजा है “रोहिणीनन्दन” का नामकरण करने आचार्य ने बड़े संकोचपूर्वक कहा था। मैने उनका संकोच दूर करते हुए कहा नही आपको“नन्दनन्दन” का भी नाम करण करना होगा।
पर पुरोहित तो आप हैं बृजपति केआचार्य ने मेरी ओर देखा ।
पर आपको पता हैऔर मेरे यजमान को भी पता है मैं कर्मकाण्डी नही हूँ मुझे ज्यादा रूचि भी नही है कर्मकाण्ड में, ज्योतिष विद्या तो मुझे बहुत नीरस लगती है।
मैने हाथ पकड़ा बृजपति का और कहा हम दोनों में कोई स्पर्धानही है इसलिये आप आनन्द से आचार्य गर्ग के द्वारा अपने पुत्रका भी नामकरण करवा लें ये मेरी आज्ञा है।
पर अभी भी संकोच हो रहा था आचार्य को कि कैसे मैं दूसरे के यजमान को अपना बना लूँ।
मैने आचार्य को सहज बनाते हुयेएक हास्य कर दिया।
आचार्य पूछो बृजपति से अन्नप्रास संस्कार के दिन क्या हुआ था प्रारम्भ में ही नवग्रह का पूजन होना था पर मैं तो उन ग्रहों के नाम ही भूल गया फिर इन्होनें ही मुझे नाम बताये तब पूजन होता रहा मैं तो ऐसा हूँ।
बृजपति चरणों में गिर गए थे मेरे, और बोले भगवन् आप जैसा महर्षि आप जैसा देहातीत विरक्त महात्मा और कौन होगा। ऐसामहात्मा जो नवग्रहों में भी नारायण का दर्शन करके आनन्दितहो उठता है बृजपति मेरे प्रति बहुत श्रद्धा रखते हैं।
पर मेरे आग्रह के कारण नामकरण संस्कार कराना आचार्य ने भी स्वीकार किया और बृजपति नें मेरी आज्ञा मानीं।
“कृष्ण” नाम रखा था नन्दनन्दन का और रोहिणी नन्दन कानाम “राम“नामकरण करके मेरी ही कुटिया में आये थे आचार्य।
नारायण हैं कृष्ण हे महर्षि मैने उनके चरणों में वो चिन्ह देखे जोचिन्ह नारायण के चरणों में हैं गदगद् भाव से बोल रहे थेआचार्य गर्ग ।
क्या इनकी आल्हादिनी के दर्शन नही करोगे?
मैने मुस्कुराते हुये पूछा ।
क्या उनका भी प्राकट्य हुआ है?
ये नारायण के अवतार नही हैं ये स्वयं अवतारी हैं स्वयं श्रीश्याम सुन्दर निकुञ्ज से अवतरित हुए हैं तो वो अकेले कैसे आसकते हैं?
आचार्य मेरे सामने हाथ जोडने लगे कृपा आपही कर सकते हैं।वो कहाँ प्रकटी हैं?
प्रेम की सुगन्ध को छुपाया नही जा सकताआप जाइए आपकोजिस ओर से वो प्रेम की सुवास आती मिले बस चलते जाइए।मैने मुस्कुराते हुए कहा आचार्य को शीघ्रता थी आल्हादिनी केदर्शन करने की।उस ब्रह्म के साकार प्रेम को देखनें की। वो मेरीकुटिया से बाहर निकले और चल पड़े जिधर से आल्हादिनीखींच रही थीं उन्हें।
हे वज्रनाभ जब बरसाने पहुँचे आचार्य गर्ग तब उन्हें मार्ग में ही बृषभान जी मिल गए उन्होंने आचार्य के चरणों में प्रणाम किया, कहाँ से पधारे आप आचार्य ? आज आपके चरणों को पाकर ये बरसाना धन्य हो गया है।
मैं तो बृजपति नन्द के पुत्र का नामकरण करवा के आरहा हूँ।
ओह तो फिर आपको मेरे महल में चलना ही पड़ेगाऔर मेरा आतिथ्य स्वीकार करना ही पड़ेगा विशेष आग्रह करनें लगे थे बृषभान जी।
आचार्य की इच्छा पूरी हो रही थी वो इसीलिए तो आये थे बरसाने में ताकि एक झलक दर्शन के मिल जाएँ “श्रीकिशोरी” के ।
वो गए महल में कीर्तिरानी ने प्रणाम किया फिर बृषभान जी ने उन्हें एक उच्च आसन में बैठाकर उनका अर्घ्य पाद्यादि से पूजन किया।
पर आपकी पुत्री कहाँ हैं ?
आचार्य अपने को पूजवाने तो आये नही थे उन्हें तो दर्शन करने थे।
हे आचार्य मेरी और मेरी अर्धांगिनी की इच्छा है कि अगर तिथि मुहूर्त आज का ठीक हो तो आज ही नामकरण संस्कार आपकर दें।
हाथ जोड़कर बृषभान जी ने कहा ।
ठीक है इतना कहकर मुहूर्त का विचार करनें लगे आचार्य गर्ग।
पर कुछ ही देर में उनका मुखमण्डल प्रसन्नता से चमक उठाआज के जैसा मुहूर्त तो वर्षों बाद भी नही आएगा।
कीर्तिरानी अपने महल में गयीं। बृषभान जी आनन्दित हो यमुनास्नान करने चले गए। इधर पूजन की तैयारियाँ आचार्य नें शुरूकी।सामग्रियाँ सब ला लाकर ग्वाले देने लगे जो जो माँगते गएआचार्य।
पर नामकरण संस्कार की तैयारियों में तो बिलम्ब हो जाएगाक्यों की मेरे साथ यहाँ कोई विप्र भी नही है महर्षि शाण्डिल्य ने मुझे गोकुल में सात विप्र दिए थे हे वज्रनाभ इतना सोच ही रहेथे आचार्य की तभी आकाश मार्ग से नवयोगेश्वर उतरने लगेबरसाने में उनके साथ साथ ऋषि दुर्वासा भी आगये।
आप ? चौंक कर उठ खड़े हुये आचार्य गर्ग।
हाँ , आल्हादिनी के दर्शन का लोभ हम भी छोड़ नही पायेइसलिये हम भी आगये ऋषि दुर्वासा नें हँसते हुए कहा इनकेदर्शन का लोभ स्वयं ब्रह्म नही त्याग पाते तो हम क्या हैं।
हम को सेवा बताइये हम आपकी सहायता करगें आल्हादिनीके नामकरण संस्कार में कृपा करें नवयोगेश्वरों नें हाथ जोड़े ।
अच्छा ठीक है आप लोग अपना परिचय छुपाइयेगा बरसाने मेंकिसी को पता न चले क्यों की प्रेम जितना गुप्त रहता है वोउतना ही खिला और प्रसन्न रहता है।
बड़ी प्रसन्नता से आचार्य गर्ग की बात सबनें मानीं औरतैयारियों में जुट गए।
“हो गयीं सारी तैयारीयाँ महाराज और रानी को बालिका केसाथ बुलाया जाए” आचार्य नें महल के सेवकों से कहा।
तभी सबने देखारेशमी पीले वस्त्र पहनें सूर्य के समान दिव्य तेज़वाले बृषभान जी सुन्दर सी पगड़ी बाँधे आये।
उनके साथ उनकी अर्धांगिनी “कीर्तिरानी” वो तो ऐसी लग रहीथीं जैसे स्वर्ग की अप्सरा भी लज्जित हो जाए।
पर सबकी दृष्टि थी कीर्तिरानी की गोद में।
दाहिनें भाग में कीर्तिरानी बैठीं कीर्तिरानी के बाएं भाग मेंबृषभान जी बिराजे हैं।
पर ये क्या ? आचार्य गर्ग स्तब्ध हो गए मानों मूर्तिवत आचार्य ही क्यों महर्षि दुर्वासा और नवयोगेश्वर भी।
वो दिव्य तेज़ प्रकाश का पुञ्ज कीर्तिरानी की गोद में हिल रहा था। चरण जब थोड़े हिलाये आल्हादिनी ने ओह समाधि सी ही लग गयी थी आचार्य गर्ग की तो।
चक्र शंख गदा पदम् सारे चिन्ह हैं जो जो चिन्ह श्रीकृष्ण केचरणों में हैं वही चिन्ह आल्हादिनी के भी चरण में हैं।
समाधि लग गयी चरण के नख से प्रकाश प्रकट हो रहा है वोप्रकाश ही समस्त विश्व् को प्रकाशित कर रहा है।
आचार्य आचार्य आचार्य,
निकट जाकर बृषभान जी को झकझोरना पड़ा आचार्य गर्ग को।
तब जाकर वो उस दशा से बाहर आये ।
नाम करण संस्कार शुरू की जाए ? हाथ जोड़कर प्रार्थना की।
हाँ हाँ सब कुछ विचार किया आचार्य ने।
मेरी गोद में एक बार लाली को? पता नही क्यों आचार्य होने के बाद भी कीर्तिरानी से प्रार्थना की मुद्रा में ही हर बात कह रहे थे गर्ग।
आप आज्ञा करें आचार्य आप हाथ न जोड़ें बृषभान जी ने मुस्कुराते हुए कहा और कीर्तिरानी को इशारा किया।
कीर्तिरानी नें आचार्य गर्ग की गोद में दे दिया लाली को।
आहा दर्शन करते ही और अपनी गोद में पाते ही देह सुध पूरीतरह से भूल गए आचार्य।
“राधा राधा राधा“ यही नाम होगा इन बालिका का।
आचार्य गर्ग के मुख से ये नाम सुनकर बृषभान जी ने दोहराया।कीर्तिरानी भी आनन्दित हो उठीं बहुत सुन्दर नाम ह
राधा राधा राधा
पर इसका अर्थ क्या होता है ? कीर्तिरानी नें पूछा।
आँखें चढ़ी हुयी हैं आचार्य की उनको देखकर ऐसा लगता हैजैसे वो इस लोक में हैं ही नहीं।
“स्वयं आस्तित्व जिसकी आराधना करे वो राधा” स्वयं “ब्रह्मजिनकी आराधना करे वो राधा“आहा राधा।
ऋषि दुर्वासा आनन्दित हो उठे राधा राधा राधा कहते हुये वो भीमग्न हो गए नव योगेश्वरों की भी यही स्थिति है।
इस कन्या शील कैसा होगा?
आर्यमाता हैं कीर्तिरानी उनको तो ये चिन्ता पहले रहेगी।
अत्यधिक सुन्दरी है मेरी कन्या आचार्य कहीं ये शील संकोचको गुमाकर।
हँसे आचार्य श्रीराधा को कीर्तिरानी की गोद में देते हुए बोलेविश्व् की जितनी सती हैं महासती हैं वो सब आपकी श्रीराधाके पद रेनू की कामना करती रहेंगी।
और विवाह ?
पिता बृषभान की चिन्ता एक समस्त जगत के पुत्रियों के पितासे अलग नही है।
राधा और नन्दसुत ये दोनों अभिन्न दम्पति हैंये दोनों अनादि हैं।
आचार्य की बातें सुनकर बृषभान जी ने कहा “तो समय आने पर आपके द्वारा ही ये विवाह सम्पन्न हो“ हाथ जोड़े ये कहतेहुए बृषभान जी ने।
नही नही आपको हाथ जोड़नें की जरूरत नही है पर इस सौभाग्य से स्वयं विधाता ब्रह्मा नें ही मुझे वंचित कर दिया है।
क्या मतलब ? बृषभान जी नें पूछा।
इस सौभाग्य को विधाता ब्रह्मा स्वयं लेना चाहते हैं इसलिये वही इन दोनों का विवाह करायेंगें।
इतना कहकर आचार्य मौन हो गए पर ये बात भोले भाले बृषभान जी की समझ में नही आयी।
पर इतना समझ लिया कि मैने जो वचन दिया है बृजपति नन्दको कि नन्दनन्दन और राधा इन दोनों का परिणय होगा ही।
हे वज्रनाभ ये “राधा नाम” है इस नामका जो नित्य जाप करताहै उसे पराभक्ति प्राप्त होती ही है वो सहज धीरे धीरे प्रेमस्वरूप बनता जाता हैउसके हृदय में आल्हाद नित्य ही वासकरनें लगता है।
इतना कहकर महर्षि शाण्डिल्य आल्हाद और आल्हादिनी केविलास का रस लेनें लगे थेक्यों की सर्वत्र उन्हीं का तो विलासचल रहा है ।
पराभक्ति प्रदायिनी करि कृपा करुणा निधि प्रिये।

पूजनीय हरिशरण जी
( Naming ceremony )
The one who worships Brahma is not Radha, not the one who worships Brahma, she is Radha. Shri Radha is love, it is the embodiment of love. Who is the true owner of Shri Radha’s love? The one who has the right to love is the one who has the courage to destroy himself in his beloved. The one who can destroy his own existence is called “love”. Only “beloved” remains, I may disappear, I may not be there, only you remain. O Vajranabh, it is not easy to understand the secret of this love. Without practicing selflessness, this “cultivation of love” is very difficult. Those who just think “What is the benefit of this, what is the benefit of that?”, how are they entitled to this love? “Shri Radha”, the best thunderbolt among the Yadavas, is the name of that ecstasy who does not want anything else except her beloved.
Having said this, Maharishi stopped for a while, not Shandilya, no, the life that one has taken up only for the happiness of the beloved, that is Shri Radha Bhava, the highest peak of love, Shri Radha Bhava. There should not be even the slightest desire for self-pleasure, there should be only you, you should be happy, you should be happy, you are happy, then I have attained ecstasy, I have got liberation, salvation or nirvana. Where will Shri Radha be located?
I have already told you that Acharya Garg had given this meaning while naming Vajranabh Shri Radha as “Shri Radha” i.e. the one who is worshiped by Brahma himself. Shriradha Shriradha Shriradha Maharishi Shandilya was immersed in emotion. Vasudev sent his priest Acharya Garg from Mathura. When he came to Gokul, he came to my hut. I welcomed him with Arghya Padya etc. Then Brijpati Nand also came there.
Acharya had said very hesitantly, “I have come to do the naming ceremony, Vasudev has sent me to do the naming ceremony of “Rohininandan”. Removing his hesitation, I said no, you will have to change the name to “Nandanandan” also. But you are the priest. Brijpati’s Acharya looked at me. But you know and my host also knows that I am not a ritualist, I am not much interested in rituals, I find astrology very boring.
I held Brijpati’s hand and said, there is no competition between us, so you happily get your son named after Acharya Garg, this is my order. But Acharya was still hesitant as to how he could adopt someone else’s host as his own. I made Acharya comfortable by making a joke. Acharya, ask Brijpati what happened on the day of Annapras Sanskar. Initially Navagraha was to be worshipped, but I forgot the names of those planets, then they told me the names, only then the worship continued. I am like this.
Brijpati fell at my feet and said, “Lord, who else would be a Maharishi like you, a Mahatma detached from the countryside like you?” Such a great soul who becomes happy after seeing Narayana even among the nine planets, Brijpati has great respect for me. But due to my insistence, Acharya also accepted to perform the naming ceremony and Brijpati obeyed my orders.
Acharya came to my cottage after naming Nandanandan as “Krishna” and Rohini Nandan as “Ram”. Narayan is Krishna, O Maharishi, I saw the signs on his feet which are on the feet of Narayan. Acharya Garg was speaking with a heartbroken feeling. Will you not visit their Alhadini? I asked smilingly. Has he also appeared? He is not the incarnation of Narayana, he is the incarnation himself. He himself has descended from Shri Shyam Sundar Nikunj, so how can he worship alone? Acharya started folding his hands in front of me. Only you can bless me. Where is He manifested?
The fragrance of love cannot be hidden. You go wherever you come from and if you find that fragrance of love, just keep going. I said smilingly, Acharya was in a hurry to see Alhadini. To see the love incarnate of that Brahma. He came out of Mary’s hut and started walking towards where Alhadini was pulling him. O Vajranabh, when Acharya Garg reached Barsana, he met Brishbhan ji on the way, he bowed at the feet of Acharya, where did you come from, Acharya? This Barsana is blessed to have found your feet today. I am looking forward to naming the son of Brijpati Nand.
Oh then you will have to come to my palace and accept my hospitality, Brishbhan ji started making special requests. Acharya’s wish was being fulfilled, that is why he had come to Barsana so that he could get a glimpse of “Shri Kishori”. He went to the palace, Kirtirani saluted him, then Brishbhan ji made him sit on a high seat and worshiped him with Arghya Padya etc. But where is your daughter?
Acharya had not come to worship himself, he had to have darshan. O Acharya, I and my better half wish that if today’s date and time is right, then we should perform the naming ceremony today itself. Brishbhan ji said with folded hands. Okay, after saying this, Acharya Garg started thinking about the auspicious time. But within a short time his face lit up with happiness; a moment like today will not come even after many years.
Kirtirani went to her palace. Brishbhan ji became happy and went to take bath in Yamuna. Here Acharya started preparations for the puja. After bringing all the materials, Acharya started giving them to the cowherds who asked for them. But there will be a delay in the preparations for the naming ceremony, because there is no Vipra here with me. Maharishi Shandilya had given me seven Vipras in Gokul. O Vajranabh, the Acharya was thinking so much. Then Navayogeshwar started descending from the sky. Rishi Durvasa along with him in Barsana. Also come.
You ? Acharya Garg stood up in shock. Yes, we too could not give up the greed of seeing Alhadini, that is why we also came. Rishi Durvasa said laughingly, if we cannot give up the greed of seeing Brahma himself, then what are we? Tell us the service, we will help you. Please bless us in the naming ceremony of Alhadini. Navayogeshwars folded hands. Okay, okay, you people will hide your identity in Barsana, so that no one should know because the more love remains secret, the more it blossoms and remains happy. Everyone listened to Acharya Garg with great pleasure and started preparations.
“All the preparations have been done, the king and the queen should be called along with the girl,” Acharya said to the palace servants. Then everyone saw that Brishbhan ji, dressed in yellow silk and having divine radiance like the sun, came with a beautiful turban. Along with him was his better half “Kirtirani” who looked such that even a heavenly fairy would feel ashamed. But everyone’s eyes were on Kirtirani’s lap. Kirtirani is sitting on the right side and Brishbhan ji is sitting on the left side of Kirtirani. But what is this ? Acharya Garg became stunned as if not only the idolized Acharya but also Maharishi Durvasa and Navayogeshwar.
That divine beam of bright light was shaking in Kirtirani’s lap. When Alhadini moved her feet a little, Acharya Garg was in a trance like state. Chakra Shankha Gada Padam are all the symbols which are at the feet of Shri Krishna, the same symbols are at the feet of Alhadini also. The light is appearing from the nails of the feet which is in samadhi, that light itself is illuminating the entire world.
Acharya Acharya Acharya, Acharya Garg had to go near Brishbhan ji and shake him. Only then did he come out of that condition. Should the naming ceremony be started? Prayed with folded hands. Yes yes, Acharya thought of everything.
To Lali once in my lap? Don’t know why even after being an Acharya, Garg was saying everything to Kirtirani in a prayerful mood. You order, Acharya, don’t fold your hands, Brishbhan ji said smilingly and gestured to Kirtirani. Kirtirani gave Lali in the lap of Acharya Garg. Aha, as soon as he had the darshan and held me in his lap, Acharya completely forgot about his body. “Radha Radha Radha” this will be the name of this girl. Hearing this name from the mouth of Acharya Garg, Brishbhan ji repeated it. Kirtirani also became happy. It is a very beautiful name.
Radha Radha Radha
But what does it mean? Kirtirani asked. Acharya’s eyes are welled up, looking at him it seems as if he does not exist in this world.
“Whoever worships the existence itself, that is Radha” itself “Whoever worships Brahma, that Radha” Aha Radha. Rishi Durvasa became happy and got immersed while saying Radha Radha Radha. Same is the condition of Nav Yogeshwars. What will this girl’s modesty be like? Aryamata is Kirtirani, she will be worried about this first. My daughter is very beautiful, Acharya, she has lost all this modesty and hesitation.
Acharya laughed and placed Shriradha in Kirtirani’s lap and said that all the Satis and Mahasatis of the world will keep wishing for your status as Shriradha, Renu. And marriage? The concern of father Brishabhan is no different from that of the father of the daughters of the entire world. Radha and Nandasut are an inseparable couple, both are eternal.
Hearing the words of Acharya, Brishbhan ji said, “So when the time comes, this marriage should be solemnized by you only.” Saying this, Brishbhan ji folded his hands. No no, you do not need to fold your hands, but creator Brahma himself has deprived me of this good fortune. What do you mean ? Brishbhan ji asked. Creator Brahma himself wants to take this good fortune, hence he will get these two married.
After saying this, Acharya became silent but innocent Brishbhan ji did not understand this. But I understood that the promise I had given to Brijapati Nanda that Nandanandan and Radha would definitely get married.
Hey Vajranabh, this is “Radha Naam”. One who chants this name daily gets supreme devotion, he gradually becomes an embodiment of love and joy starts residing in his heart daily. Saying this, Maharishi Shandilya started enjoying the luxury of Alhad and Alhadini because their luxury is prevalent everywhere.
