दृढ विश्वास

• महामुनी व्यास को नदी के उस पार जाना था ,और वे नाव के प्रशिक्षा कर रहे थे,कि इतने में वहां कुछ गोपीयाँ पहुंची काफी समय प्रतीक्षा करने के बाद भी जब कोई नाव नहीं आई तो गोपीयो ने निराश हो व्यासदेव से पूछा महाराज नाव तो कोई आ नहीं रही है तो क्या किया जाए ?व्यासजी ने कहा चिंता ना करो तुम लोगों को नदी पार करा दूंगा । मगर मै भी नाव की प्रतीक्षा करते करते थक गया हूं तो मुझे भूख लगी है क्या तुम लोग कुछ दे सकती हो ? गोपीयाँ के पास ताजा दूध मलाई मक्खन था ।जिसमे से कुछ व्यासजी को दे दिया। उन्होंने दूध मक्खन तो खा लिया लेकिन पार करने के बारे में कुछ नहीं बोले रहे हैं तब वे उनसे बोली नाव का क्या हुआ ?
  व्यास जी थोड़ा आगे गए वह हाथ जोड़कर नदी से प्रार्थना की जमने यदि मैंने कुछ खाया ना हो तो इसके बल पर तुम जल को दो भागों में विभक्त करो जिससे हम लोग उस पार जा सके ।ज्यो ही उन्होंने ऐसा ने कहा नदी दो भागों में विभाजित हो गई और बीच में सूखा किनारा बिछ गया ।यह देख गोपीयाँ चकित हो गई मन ही मन सोचने लगे कि थोड़ी देर पहले तो हमसे इन्होंने दूध मक्खन माग कर खाया था अब कह रहे हैं कि कुछ नहीं खाया ।यमुना को भी इनके कथन पर विश्वास हो गया। आखिर उनहोने व्यासदेव से इसका रहस्य पूछ लिया ।
  महामुनी ने कहा आपने मुझे दूध मलाई मक्खन अवश्य दी थी किंतु उसे मैंने नहीं मेरे ह्रदय मे अवस्थित भगवान ने खाया था ।मनुष्य कर्म तो करता है पर वह कर्म को ब्रह्म अर्पित बुद्धी से नहीं करता, यदि वह ऐसा करें तो कर्म का बंधन ही नहीं रहेगाऔर वह कर्म करके भी कर्म रहित रहेगा ।इसके लिए दृढ़ विश्वास की बड़ी आवश्यकता है ।
  आत्मज्ञान की प्राप्ति के लिए साधना की आवश्यकता है ।यदि दृढ़ विश्वास हो तो थोड़ी साधना में काम चल सकता है ।।।।

Mahamuni Vyas had to go across the river, and he was training the boat, so that some gopis reached there, even after waiting for a long time, when no boat came, the gopis were disappointed and asked Vyasadeva if the boat was there. If it is not coming, then what should be done? Vyasji said, don’t worry, I will get you people across the river. But I am also tired of waiting for the boat, so I am hungry, can you guys give me something? The gopis had fresh milk and cream butter. Some of which were given to Vyasji. They ate milk and butter but are not saying anything about crossing, then they said to them what happened to the boat? Vyas ji went a little further, he prayed to the river with folded hands, if I have not eaten anything, then on its strength you divide the water into two parts so that we can go across it. As soon as he said so, the river divided into two parts. And the dry shore was laid in the middle. Seeing this, the gopis were astonished to think that they had eaten milk and butter from us a while back, now they are saying that they did not eat anything. Yamuna also believed in their statement. Done. After all, he asked Vyasadeva its secret. Mahamuni said that you must have given me milk and cream butter, but I did not eat it by the God situated in my heart. Man does work but he does not do the work with the intellect devoted to Brahma, if he does so then there is no bondage of karma. And he will remain karma-free even by doing karma. For this there is a great need of strong faith. For attainment of self-knowledge, spiritual practice is required.
