योग में नाड़ी वह मार्ग है जिससे होकर शरीर की ऊर्जा प्रवाहित होती है। नाडियाँ शरीर में स्थित नाड़ीचक्रों को जोड़तीं है। योग ग्रंथ 10 नाड़ियों को प्रमुख मानते हैं -परंतु इनमें तीन का उल्लेख बार-बार मिलता है ।
ईड़ा, पिंगला और सुषुम्ना। ये तीनों मेरुदण्ड से जुड़े हैं। सुषुम्ना नाड़ी से श्वास प्रवाहित होने को ही ‘योग’ कहा जाता है। सुषुम्ना नाड़ी मूलाधार से आरंभ होकर यह सिर के सर्वोच्च स्थान पर अवस्थित सहस्रार तक आती है।
सभी चक्र सुषुम्ना में ही विद्यमान हैं। अधिकतर लोग इड़ा और पिंगला में जीते और मरते हैं और मध्य स्थान सुषुम्ना निष्क्रिय बना रहता है। परन्तु सुषुम्ना मानव शरीर-विज्ञान का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण पहलू है।
जब ऊर्जा सुषुम्ना नाड़ी में प्रवेश करती है तभी वास्तविक यौगिक जीवन शुरू होता है। सुषुम्ना नाड़ी का मार्ग साम्यावस्था का मार्ग है ;परंतु पूरा संसार इडा पिंगला के मार्ग में चल रहा है।
जीवन सत्य की खोज दो मार्गों से हो सकती है। एक पिंगला का मार्ग है ..आक्रमण का और दूसरा इडा का मार्ग है.. समर्पण का। विज्ञान पिंगला का मार्ग है और धर्म इडा का मार्ग है..नमन है।
इसलिए सभी शास्त्र परमात्मा को नमस्कार से शुरू होते है। वह नमस्कार केवल एक परंपरा और रीति नहीं है बल्कि नमस्कार समर्पण का प्रतीक है।अथार्त जो विनम्र है, केवल वे ही सत्य को उपलब्ध हो सकेंगे ।
न की आक्रमक या अहंकार से भरे। पदार्थ के संबंध में आसानी से जानकारी मिल जाती है,लेकिन आत्मा और परमात्मा की नहीं। इसीलिए विज्ञान आत्मा में भरोसा नहीं करता।
क्योकि इतनी चेष्टा के बाद भी आत्मा की कोई झलक नहीं मिलती। इसलिए नहीं कि आत्मा नहीं है; बल्कि तुमने जो ढंग चुना है, वह आत्मा को पाने का ढंग नहीं है।जीवन का रहस्य तुम्हें मिल सकेगा।
अगर तुम नमन के,समर्पण के द्वार से गये। परमात्मा को रिझाने के लिए अति प्रेमपूर्ण, प्रार्थना से भरा हृदय चाहिए। और वहां जल्दी नहीं है ; बड़ा धैर्य चाहिए। तुम्हारी जल्दी और उसका हृदय बंद हो जायेगा।
क्योंकि जल्दी भी आक्रमण की खबर है। इसलिए जो परमात्मा को खोजने चलते है,उनके जीवन का ढंग दो शब्दों में समाया हुआ है ..प्रार्थना और प्रतीक्षा। प्रार्थना पहला चरण है जिससे शास्त्र शुरू होते है ।
और प्रतीक्षा पर पूरे होते है। यदि हम भी नमन से शुरू करे तो भगवान शिव के सूत्र समझ में आ सकेंगे। सूत्रों के संबंध में एक बात और खयाल में रखनी है कि तुम्हे ये नहीं तय करना है ठीक है या गलत हैं।
वास्तव में,जो अंधेरे में खड़ा है, वह प्रकाश के संबंध में निर्णय नहीं कर सकता। जिसने कभी प्रेम नहीं पहचाना और जो जीवनभर घृणा, ईर्ष्या और द्वेष में जिया है, वह प्रेम के शब्द तो पढ़ सकता है।
शब्दों में जो छिपा है,वह नहीं समझ सकता इसलिए क्या ठीक है और क्या गलत, इसका निर्णय मत करना । दूसरी बात है कि सूत्र का अर्थ होता है संक्षिप्त से संक्षिप्त, सारभूत। सूत्र में एक छोटा सा बीज जैसा होता है।
जिसमें सारा वृक्ष समाया होता है। बीज में तुम वृक्ष को नहीं देख सकते क्योंकि उसके लिए बड़ी गहरी आंखें चाहिए ।और वैसी पैनी आंखें तुम्हारे पास अभी नहीं हैं।यदि वृक्ष को देखना हो तो तुम्हें बीज को बोना पड़ेगा।
और दूसरा कोई रास्ता तुम्हारे पास नहीं है। और जब बीज अकुंरित होगा, तभी तुम पहचान पाओगे। ये सूत्र बीज है। इन्हें तुम्हें अपने हृदय में बोना होगा। बीज कुरूप भी दिखाई पड़ता हो ।
और उसकी कोई कीमत भी न हो, लेकिन फिर भी उसमें जीवन छिपा है। एक बीज और कीमती से कीमती हीरे में भी एक फर्क है कि तुम हीरे को बो दो, तो उसमें से कुछ पैदा न होगा।
एक छोटा सा बीज इस सारे विश्व को पैदा कर सकता है; क्योंकि एक बीज से करोड़ों बीज पैदा होते हैं। फिर करोड़ों बीज से, हर बीज से करोड़ बीज पैदा होते है। एक छोटे से बीज में सारे विश्व का ब्रह्मांड समा सकता है।
और सूत्र बीज है। उनके साथ जल्दी नहीं की जा सकती। उनको हृदय में बोओगे तभी अकुंरित होगा, और तभी तुम जान पाओगे। यह भाव ही समर्पण की धारा है।

Eeda, Pingala and Sushumna. All three are associated with the spinal cord. Breathing from Sushumna pulse is called ‘Yoga’. Starting from Sushumna Nadi Muladhara, it comes to Sahasrara, located at the highest place of the head.
All the cycles exist in Sushumna. Most people live and die in Eda and Pingala and the middle place remains inactive. But Sushumna is the most important aspect of human body science.
The real compound life begins when the energy enters the Sushumna pulse. The path of Sushumna pulse is the path of equilibrium, but the whole world is following the path of Ida Pingala.
Life truth can be discovered through two routes. One is the path of Pingala .. the path of the infection and the other is the path of Ida .. of surrender. Science is the path of Pingala and religion is the path to Ida… it is stream.
Therefore, all the scriptures begin with salutations to God. That Namaskar is not only a tradition and custom but a symbol of Namaskar dedication. Only those who are humble will be able to be available to the truth.
Not filled with aggressive or ego. Information is easily found in relation to matter, but not the soul and the divine. That is why science does not trust in the soul.
Because even after such efforts, there is no glimpse of the soul. Not because there is no soul; Rather, the manner you have chosen is not the way of attaining the soul. You will be able to find the secret of life.
If you went to the door of salutation, surrender. To woo God, you need a very loving, full heart full of prayer. And there is no hurry; Need great patience. Your heart will stop quickly and his heart will stop.
Because there is news of hurry. Therefore, those who go to find God, the manner of his life is absorbed in two words .. Arthana and waiting. Prayer is the first phase from which scriptures begin.
And they are fulfilled on waiting. If we also start with salute, then the sources of Lord Shiva will be understood. One more thing to keep in relation to sources has to be kept in mind that you do not have to decide it is fine or wrong.
In fact, the one who stands in the dark cannot decide in relation to light. One who has never recognized love and who has lived in hatred, jealousy and malice throughout his life, he can read the words of love.
What is hidden in words cannot understand what is right and what is wrong, do not decide. The second thing is that the sutra means brief, summary. The formula is like a small seed.
In which the whole tree is absorbed. You cannot see the tree in the seed because it needs very deep eyes. And you do not have the same sharp eyes. If you want to see the tree, then you have to sow the seed.
And you have no other way. And when the seed is inappropriate, only then you will be able to identify. This formula is seed. You have to sow them in your heart. The seed is also seen as ugly.
And there should not be any cost to it, but still life is hidden in it. There is also a difference between a seed and precious diamond from precious diamonds, if you sow the diamond, then nothing will be born from it.
A small seed can produce this whole world; Because crores of seeds are produced from one seed. Then millions of seeds, millions of seeds are produced from every seed. The universe of the whole world can be absorbed in a small seed.
And the formula is seed. They cannot be hurriedly done. Only then you will sow them in the heart, and only then you will be able to know. This sentiment is the stream of dedication.
