भगवान श्रीकृष्ण का सभी अवतारों में सर्वोच्च स्थान है। संपूर्ण भारत में उन्हीं के सबसे अधिक और प्रसिद्ध मंदिर हैं। दुनियाभर में उन्हीं पर शोध हो रहे हैं और दुनियाभर के लोग उन्हीं को सबसे ज्यादा पसंद करते हैं।
वे देश, धर्म और संप्रदाय से उपर उठकर सर्वमान्य महापुरुष हैं। प्रस्तुत है उनके बारे में ऐसे तथ्य जिन्हें जानकर लोग उनकी ओर आकर्षित होते हैं।
भगवान नहीं, प्रेमी और सखा-
श्रीकृष्ण अपने भक्तों के मित्र, दोस्त या सखा हैं। वे कभी भी किसी भक्त के भगवान नहीं बने। उन्होंने हमेशा मित्रता को ही महत्व दिया। चाहे सुदामा हो, अर्जुन हो गया फिर कलिकाल में भक्त माधवदास और मीरा। श्रीकृष्ण अपने भक्तों के सखा भी और गुरु भी हैं। वे प्रेमी और सखा बनकर गुरु ज्ञान देते हैं। उनके हजारों सखाओं की कहानियों को जानने से यह भेद खुल जाता है।
जग के नाथ जगन्नाथ-
श्रीकृष्ण १४ विद्या और १६ आध्यात्मिक और ६४ सांसारिक कलाओं में पारंगत थे। इसीलिए प्रभु श्रीकृष्ण जग के नाथ जगन्नाथ और जग के गुरु जगदगुरु कहलाते हैं।
पूर्णावतार-
भगवान श्रीकृष्ण का भगवान होना ही उनकी शक्ति का स्रोत है। वे विष्णु के १० अवतारों में से एक आठवें अवतार थे, जबकि २४ अवतारों में उनका नंबर २२वां था। उन्हें अपने अगले पिछले सभी जन्मों की याद थी। सभी अवतारों में उन्हें पूर्णावतार माना जाता है।
चमत्कार-
उन्होंने बालपन में माता यशोदा मैया को अपने मुख में ब्रह्मांड के दर्शन करा दिए थे। वे सांदीपनि ऋषि के मृत पुत्र को यमराज के पास से पुन: ले आए थे। उन्होंने मथुरा में कुबड़ी कुब्जा को तक्षण ही ठीक कर दिया था। उन्होंने इंद्र का अहंकार चूर करने के लिए गोवर्धन पर्वत को अपनी छोटी अंगुली से उठा लिया था। उन्होंने धृतराष्ट्र की सभा में जब द्रौपदी का चीरहरण हो रहा था तब उन्होंने अपने चमत्कार से द्रौपदी की साड़ी लंबी कर दी थी। बर्बरीक का सिर काटकर एक स्थान विशेष पर रख दिया था जहां से वह युद्ध देख सके। जयद्रथ वध के पूर्व उन्होंने अपनी माया से समय पूर्व ही सूर्यास्त करके पुन: उसे उदित कर दिया था। उन्होंने अभिमन्यु की पत्नी उत्तरा के गर्भ में पल रहे पुत्र परीक्षित को पुन: जीवित कर दिया था और अश्वत्थामा को ३ हजार वर्षों तक जीवित रहने के श्राप दे दिया था। इस तरह उनके सैंकड़ों चमत्कार है।
शरीर का गुण-
युद्ध के समय श्रीकृष्ण की देह विस्तृत और कठोर हो जाती थी और नृत्य के समय कोमल। उनके शरीर से मादक गंध निकलती रहती थी। इस गंध को वे अपने गुप्त अभियानों में छुपाने का उपक्रम करते थे। ऐसा माना जाता है कि ऐसा इसलिए हो जाता था क्योंकि वे योग और कलारिपट्टू विद्या में पारंगत थे।
गीता का ज्ञान-
दुनिया में वे ऐसे पहले व्यक्ति थे जिन्होंने युद्ध के मैदान में ज्ञान दिया और वह भी ऐसा ज्ञान जिस पर दुनियाभर में हजारों भाष्य लिखे गए और जो आज भी प्रासंगिक है। असल में गीता को ही एक मात्र धर्मग्रंथ माना जाता है। उनके जीवन चरित श्रीमद्भागवत पुराण में वर्णित है। श्रीकृष्ण ने गीता के अलावा भी और भी कई गीताएं कहीं हैं। जैसे अनु गीता, उद्धव गीता आदि। गीता में उन्होंने धर्म, ईश्वर और मोक्ष का सच्चा रास्ता बताया।
जन्म और मृत्यु एक रहस्य-
श्रीकृष्ण का जन्म एक रहस्य है क्योंकि उनका जन्म जेल में हुआ और वह भी विष्णु ने अपने ८वें अवतार के रूप में ८वें मनु वैवस्वत के मन्वंतर के २८वें द्वापर में भाद्रपद के कृष्ण पक्ष की रात्रि के ७ मुहूर्त निकल गए और ८वां उपस्थित हुआ तभी आधी रात के समय सबसे शुभ लग्न उपस्थित हुआ। उस लग्न पर केवल शुभ ग्रहों की दृष्टि थी। रोहिणी नक्षत्र तथा अष्टमी तिथि के संयोग से जयंती नामक योग में लगभग १२ बजे अर्थात शून्य काल में जन्म लिया था।
इसी तरह उन्होंने मृत्यु का भी चयन तब किया जबकि उन्हें अपने धाम जाना था। पौराणिक मान्यताओं अनुसार प्रभु ने त्रेता में राम के रूप में अवतार लेकर बाली को छुपकर तीर मारा था। कृष्णावतार के समय भगवान ने उसी बाली को जरा नामक बहेलिया बनाया और अपने लिए वैसी ही मृत्यु चुनी, जैसी बाली को दी थी।
विराट स्वरूप-
उन्होंने अक्रूरजी को अपना विराट स्वरूप दिखाया, फिर उद्धव को, फिर राजा मुचुकुंद को, फिर शिशुपाल को, फिर धृतराष्ट्र की सभा में, पिर अर्जुन को ३ बार विराट स्वरूप दिखाया। कहते हैं कि उन्होंने कलियुग में माधवदास को भी अपना विराट स्वरूप दिखाया था।
सभी ओर वे पूजा जाते हैं-
श्रीकृष्ण को पुरी में जगन्नाथ के रूप में, द्वारिका में द्वारिकाधीश के रूप में, गुजरात में श्रीनाथ के रूप में, राजस्थान में सावलिया सेठ के रूप में पूजे जाते हैं। इसी तरह हर राज्य में उनका एक अलग ही स्वरूप है।
लाखों लोगों को मिला मोक्ष-
श्रीकृष्ण के माध्यम से उन्हीं के काल में हजारों महिलाओं, द्रौपदी, राधा, रुक्मिणी, सत्यभामा और गोपियों को मोक्ष मिला या कहें कि ज्ञान प्राप्त हुआ था। उन्होंने भक्ति मार्ग के माध्यम से अपने भक्तों को ज्ञान प्राप्त कराया। गोपियों से लेकर मीरा तक और सुदामा से लेकर सूरदास तक सभी को मोक्ष मिला।
करोड़ों हैं उनके भक्त-

Lord Shri Krishna has the highest position among all the incarnations. He has the most and famous temples in the whole of India. Research is being done on them all over the world and people all over the world like them the most.
He is a universally recognized great man rising above country, religion and sect. Presented are such facts about him, knowing which people get attracted towards him.
Not God, but lover and friend- Shri Krishna is a friend, friend or companion of his devotees. He never became the God of any devotee. He always gave importance to friendship. Be it Sudama, Arjun, then devotees Madhavdas and Meera in Kalikal. Shri Krishna is both the friend and guru of his devotees. He becomes a lover and a friend and imparts the Guru’s knowledge. This secret gets revealed by knowing the stories of thousands of his friends.
Jagannath, Lord of the world- Shri Krishna was proficient in 14 knowledge, 16 spiritual and 64 worldly arts. That is why Lord Shri Krishna is called Jagannath, the Lord of the world and Jagadguru, the Guru of the world.
full form- Lord Krishna’s being a God is the source of his power. He was the eighth incarnation among the 10 incarnations of Vishnu, while he was number 22 among the 24 incarnations. He remembered all his previous births. He is considered as Purnavatar in all the incarnations.
Miracle- In his childhood, he had shown the universe to Mother Yashoda Maiya in his mouth. He had brought back the dead son of Sage Sandipani from Yamraj. He instantly cured hunchback in Mathura. To crush Indra’s ego, he lifted Govardhan Mountain with his little finger. When Draupadi was being disrobed in Dhritarashtra’s court, he by his miracle lengthened Draupadi’s saree. Barbarik’s head was cut and kept at a special place from where he could watch the war. Before killing Jayadratha, he had caused the sun to set prematurely through his illusion and made it rise again. He brought back to life Parikshit, the son born in the womb of Abhimanyu’s wife Uttara, and cursed Ashwatthama to live for 3 thousand years. There are hundreds of miracles like this.
Body properties- At the time of war, Shri Krishna’s body became wide and hard and at the time of dance, it became soft. An intoxicating odor kept emanating from his body. They used to conceal this smell in their secret missions. It is believed that this happened because he was proficient in Yoga and Kalaripatta Vidya.
Knowledge of Geeta- He was the first person in the world who imparted knowledge on the battlefield and that too on which thousands of commentaries have been written across the world and which is relevant even today. In fact, Geeta is considered the only religious scripture. His biography is described in Shrimad Bhagwat Purana. Apart from Geeta, Shri Krishna has also said many other Geeta. Like Anu Geeta, Uddhava Geeta etc. In Geeta he explained the true path of religion, God and salvation.
Birth and death a mystery- The birth of Shri Krishna is a mystery because he was born in jail and that too by Vishnu in the form of his 8th incarnation. In the 28th Dwapar of the Manvantar of the 8th Manu Vaivaswat, 7 Muhurats of the night of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada passed and the 8th appeared only at midnight. The most auspicious ascendant was present at the time of. Only auspicious planets were visible on that ascendant. Due to the coincidence of Rohini Nakshatra and Ashtami Tithi, he was born in a yoga called Jayanti at around 12 o’clock i.e. at zero time.
Similarly, he also chose death when he had to go to his abode. According to mythological beliefs, the Lord incarnated as Ram in Treta and secretly shot an arrow at Bali. At the time of Krishnavatar, God made the same Bali a fowler named Jara and chose the same death for himself as he had given to Bali.
Huge form- He showed his great form to Akrurji, then to Uddhav, then to King Muchukund, then to Shishupala, then in the assembly of Dhritarashtra, and then to Arjun thrice. It is said that he had shown his great form to Madhavdas also in Kaliyuga.
He is worshiped everywhere- Shri Krishna is worshiped as Jagannath in Puri, as Dwarkadhish in Dwarka, as Shrinath in Gujarat, and as Savaliya Seth in Rajasthan. Similarly, they have a different form in every state.
Lakhs of people got salvation- Through Shri Krishna, during his time, thousands of women, Draupadi, Radha, Rukmini, Satyabhama and Gopis attained salvation or should we say attained enlightenment. He made his devotees attain knowledge through the path of devotion. From Gopis to Meera and from Sudama to Surdas, everyone got salvation.
He has crores of devotees- There are crores of devotees of Shri Krishna. There are many organizations like ISKCON which propagate devotion to Shri Krishna. , Shri Krishnay Vayam Namah.
