हिन्दू शब्द की खोज
हीनं दुष्यति इति हिन्दूः से हुई है।
अर्थात: जो अज्ञानता और हीनता का त्याग करे उसे हिन्दू कहते हैं ।
हिन्दू ‘ शब्द, करोड़ों वर्ष प्राचीन, संस्कृत शब्द से है !
यदि संस्कृत के इस शब्द का सन्धि विच्छेदन करें तो पायेंगे ….
हीन + दू = हीन भावना + (से) दूर
अर्थात : जो हीन भावना या दुर्भावना से दूर रहे , मुक्त रहे , वो हिन्दू है !
हमें बार – बार, सदा झूठ ही बतलाया जाता है कि हिन्दु शब्द मुगलों ने हमें दिया , जो ” सिंधु ” से ” हिन्दू ” हुआ l हिन्दू को गुमराह किया जा रहा है।
हिन्दू शब्द की वेद से ही उत्पत्ति है !
जानिए , कहाँ से आया हिन्दू शब्द और कैसे हुई इसकी उत्पत्ति ?
कुछ लोग यह कहते हैं कि हिन्दू शब्द सिंधु से बना है औऱ यह फारसी शब्द है । परंतु ऐसा कुछ नहीं है ! ये केवल झुठ फ़ैलाया जाता है। हमारे ” वेदों ” और ” पुराणों ” में हिन्दू शब्द का उल्लेख मिलता है । आज हम आपको बता रहे हैं कि हमें हिन्दू शब्द कहाँ से मिला है !
“ऋग्वेद” के ” ब्रहस्पति अग्यम ” में हिन्दू शब्द का उल्लेख इस प्रकार आया हैं :-
“ हिमालयं समारभ्य
यावद् इन्दुसरोवरं ।
तं देवनिर्मितं देशं
हिन्दुस्थानं प्रचक्षते ।”
अर्थात : हिमालय से इंदु सरोवर तक , देव निर्मित देश को हिंदुस्तान कहते हैं !
केवल ” वेद ” ही नहीं, बल्कि ” शैव “ग्रन्थ में हिन्दू शब्द का उल्लेख इस प्रकार किया गया हैं :-
हीनं च दूष्यतेव् हिन्दुरित्युच्च ते प्रिये।
अर्थात :- जो अज्ञानता और हीनता का त्याग करे उसे हिन्दू कहते हैं !
इससे मिलता जुलता लगभग यही श्लोक ” कल्पद्रुम “ में भी दोहराया गया है :
हीनं दुष्यति इति हिन्दूः ।
अर्थात : जो अज्ञानता और हीनता का त्याग करे,उसे
हिन्दू कहते हैं।
” पारिजात हरण “ में हिन्दु को कुछ इस प्रकार कहा गया है :-
हिनस्ति तपसा पापां
दैहिकां दुष्टं ।
हेतिभिः श्त्रुवर्गं च
स हिन्दुर्भिधियते ।”
अर्थात :- जो अपने तप से शत्रुओं का , दुष्टों का , और पाप का नाश कर देता है , वही हिन्दू है !
” माधव दिग्विजय “ में भी हिन्दू शब्द को कुछ इस प्रकार उल्लेखित किया गया है :-
“ओंकारमन्त्रमूलाढ्य
पुनर्जन्म द्रढ़ाश्य: ।
गौभक्तो भारत:
गरुर्हिन्दुर्हिंसन दूषकः ।”
अर्थात : वो जो ” ओमकार ” को ईश्वरीय धुन माने , कर्मों पर विश्वास करे , गौ-पालक रहे , तथा बुराइयों को दूर रखे, वो हिन्दू है !
केवल इतना ही नहीं , हमारे “ऋगवेद” (8:2:41) में हिन्दू नाम के बहुत ही पराक्रमी और दानी राजा का वर्णन मिलता है , जिन्होंने 46,000 गौमाता दान में दी थी ! और “ऋग्वेद मंडल” में भी उनका वर्णन मिलता है l
बुराइयों को दूर करने के लिए सतत प्रयासरत रहने वाले , सनातन धर्म के पोषक व पालन करने वाले हिन्दू हैं ।

Some people say that the word Hindu is derived from Sindhu and it is a Persian word. But it is nothing like that! This is just a lie being spread. The word Hindu is mentioned in our “Vedas” and “Puranas”. Today we are telling you from where we got the word Hindu!
The word Hindu is mentioned in the “Brahspati Agyam” of the “Rigveda” as follows:-
“ Starting with the Himalayas
as far as the Indus Lake.
That country created by God
They call it Hindustan.
Meaning: From the Himalayas to Indu Sarovar, the country created by God is called Hindustan.
Not only in “Vedas”, but also in “Shaiva” texts, the word Hindu has been mentioned as follows:-
Deficient and spoiled, Hindu, and you, dear.
Meaning:- One who renounces ignorance and inferiority is called a Hindu.
Almost the same verse is repeated in the Kalpadrum:
The Hindu says that the deficient is corrupt.
Meaning: One who renounces ignorance and inferiority,
Hindus say.
In “Parijaat Haran” something has been said about Hindus as follows:-
He kills sin by penance
The physical is evil.
and the class of enemies by the Hetis
He is called a Hindu.”
Meaning: – The one who destroys enemies, evil people and sins through his penance is a Hindu!
In “Madhav Digvijay” also the word Hindu has been mentioned in this way: –
“Omkaramantramuladhya
Rebirth Dradhashya:
Gaubhakto Bharat:
Garu is a Hindu and a spoiler of violence.
Meaning: One who considers “Omkar” as the divine tune, believes in karma, is a cow-herder, and keeps away evils, is a Hindu.
Not only this, in our “Rigveda” (8:2:41) there is a description of a very valiant and charitable king named Hindu, who donated 46,000 cows. And his description is also found in “Rig Veda Mandal”.
Hindus are the ones who continuously strive to remove evils and who nurture and follow Sanatan Dharma.
