हरिद्वार की महिमा…

हरद्वार जिसे हरिद्वार के नाम से भी जाना जाता है इसकी महिमा अनन्त है जिसे शास्त्रो अथवा पुराणों में बहुत गाया और बताया गया है लेकिन ये महिमा क्यो है इसके कारण क्या है ये आप इस पोस्ट में पढ़िए ।

1 हरद्वार को सर्वप्रथम हर का द्वार कहा जाता है क्योंकि हरद्वार अर्थात हर ( देवो के देव महादेवजी ) के कैलाश से जुड़ी पर्वत श्रृंखलाओं के पर्वत हरद्वार से शुरू होते है जो हर ( देवाधिदेव महादेव ) के द्वार कैलाश तक जाते है और हरद्वार महादेवजी का अत्यंत प्रिय स्थान भी है इसी कारण से भी इसे हर का द्वार कहा जाता है द्वार हर तक जाने का

2 हरिद्वार वह स्थान है जो संसार मे दूसरे स्थान पर बसा था अर्थात पृथ्वी पे सर्वप्रथम काशी मुक्तिक्षेत्र अर्थात आनंदवन की रचना हुई थी जिसे भगवान सदाशिव ने अपने शिवलोक में त्रिशूल से रचकर धरती पर स्थापित किया जो मुक्ति देने वाली काशी के नाम से त्रिलोक विख्यात है उसके बाद ब्रह्मा जी ने अपने पुत्र दक्षप्रजापति को राज्य करने के लिए धरती पे जो स्थान प्रदान किया वो हरिद्वार ही था यहीं पर राजा दक्ष ने अपनी नगरी बसाई थी और यहीं पर वो राज्य करते थे यही दक्षपुरी के नाम से पुराणों में वर्णित स्थान है ये संसार में बसा दूसरा नगर था पहला काशी दूसरा हरिद्वार इसलिए भी इसकी महिमा है ।

3 हरिद्वार में कुम्भ से छलका अमृत गिरा था जिसे स्वर्भानु नामक दैत्य लेकर भाग रहा था जो बाद में विष्णु भगवान के द्वारा सर विच्छेद के कारण राहु केतु के रूप में जाना गया और नवग्रहों में स्थापित हुआ अमृत छलककर गिरने के कारण भी हरिद्वार की महिमा बढ़ी और ये कुंभनगरी बना जहां 12 वर्ष बाद कुम्भ होने लगा

4 पुराणों और शोध में मिले तथ्यों से स्पष्ट हुआ है कि धरती पर सर्वप्रथम भगवान विष्णु के चरण जिस स्थान पर पड़े वो हरिद्वार ही था बाद में हरिद्वार के मायापुरी क्षेत्र में ही भगवान विष्णु और माता महालक्ष्मी का विवाह संपन्न हुआ था इन्ही दोनों कारणों से ये स्थान भगवान विष्णु और माता लक्ष्मी को अत्यंत प्रिय हुआ और इसे भगवान हरि ने अपने नाम से सम्बोधित करके हरिद्वार बनाया तबसे इसके दो नाम पड़े हर का द्वार हरद्वार और हरि का भी द्वार हरिद्वार संसार का पहला क्षेत्र जो हर और हरि दोनों को अतिप्रिय है । और दोनों के नाम से जाना जाता है

5 राजा दक्ष ने परमेश्वरी माता आदिशक्ति की तपस्या करके उनसे पुत्री रूप में अपने घर जन्म लेने का वर मांगा था तो माँ उसके घर पैदा हुई राजा दक्ष की पुत्री सती के रूप मे आदिशक्ति स्वरूपा भगवती माता सती का जन्म इसी हरिद्वार में हुआ था यही उनका बालपन और युवाअवस्था गुजरी यहीं पर उन्होंने तप करके महादेवजी को पति रूप में प्राप्त किया तब भगवान महादेवजी ब्रह्मा विष्णुजी इंद्र सूर्य, चन्द्र आदि देवो और लक्ष्मी, सरस्वती, इंद्राणी, गायत्री आदि देवियो और ऋषि मुनियों तथा अपने गणों सहित बारात लेकर यहां पर आए थे और माता सती से विवाह किया था इस कारण से भी हरिद्वार की महानता बढ़ती है

6 राजा दक्ष ने विश्व विख्यात जो यज्ञ किया था वो भी हरिद्वार के कनखल क्षेत्र में ही किया था जहां राजा दक्ष का महल था

7 गंगौत्री जहां से गंगाजी का उद्गम है उसका रास्ता भी हरिद्वार से होकर ही जाता है गंगाजी हरिद्वार से होकर ही अन्य स्थानों पे जाती है इसीलिये इसकी महिमा माँ गंगा की कृपा से और भी बढ़ गयी है

8 चारधाम गंगोत्री, यमुनोत्री, केदारनाथ, बद्रीनाथ तक जाने से पूर्व हरिद्वार में पूजन करना अनिवार्य है जो देव आज्ञा है शास्त्रो अथवा पुराणों में क्योंकि चारधाम तक जाने का मार्ग भी हरिद्वार से होकर ही जाता है

9 महादेवजी की पुत्री माता मनसा जो वासुकि नागों के राजा की बहन थी उनका निवास स्थान भी हरिद्वार में ही है जो माँ मनसा देवी के नाम से विख्यात है जहां हजारो भक्तगण हर दिन माँ के दर्शन करने दूर दूर से आते है मन की कामना पूरी करने के कारण माँ को मनसा देवी कहा जाता है

10 रामायणकाल में अहिरावण और महिरावण श्रीराम को जब पाताल में देवी के सामने बलि देने के लिए ले गए थे तो महादेवजी के अवतार हनुमानजी ने देवी से श्रीराम की बलि टालने का आग्रह किया था तब देवी ने हनुमानजी से कहा था मैं इस पातालपुरी को त्यागकर शिवपुरी अर्थात हरिद्वार की पर्वत श्रृंखला पर जा रही हूं तुम इन दोनों असुरो की बलि मुझे दो जिससे मुझे प्रसन्नता होगी और पाताल में धर्म स्थापना होगी तब जो देवी पाताल से उठकर हरिद्वार के पर्वतों पे विराजी वो माँ चंडीदेवी के नाम से विश्व विख्यात है रामायणकाल में रावण को जीतने के बाद और अयोध्या आने के बाद श्रीराम ने सीताजी लक्ष्मण, भरत, शत्रुघ्न और हनुमानजी महाराज सहित यहां आकर माता के दर्शन किये थे और माँ चंडीदेवी का आशीर्वाद लिया था

11 माता सती ने जब दक्ष यज्ञ में अपने देह को यज्ञकुंड में जला दिया था तब महादेवजी जब उनका देह लेकर बहुत समय तक जब पृथ्वी भ्रमण करते रहे और उन्होंने संसार को भुला दिया तब विष्णुजी ने अपने कांता नामक चक्र से सती माता के शरीर को 52 भागो में विच्छेद किया था जिन में से माता सती का हृदय हरिद्वार में गिरा था और मायादेवी के नाम से विख्यात हुआ ये मायादेवी हरिद्वार के निवासियों की कुल देवी बनी और हरिद्वार की महिमा और बढ़ गई

12 ऋषि मुनियों अवतारों तथा देवी देवताओं की अतिप्रिय स्थली होने के कारण ही इसे देवभूमि हरिद्वार भी कहते है

13 जिस पहाड़ की चोटी पर बैठकर महादेवजी ने दक्ष यज्ञ विध्वंस हेतु वीरभद्र, देवी महाकाली, भैरव, क्षेत्रपाल, नंदी, नवदुर्गा आदि सेना की कमांड की थी उन्हें नेत्तृत्व किया था वो पहाड़ की चोटी भी हरिद्वार में ही है जो नीलपर्वत के नाम से जानी जाती है

14 हरिद्वार संसार का एक मात्र स्थान है जो भगवान महादेव आदिशक्ति माता भगवान विष्णु और माता लक्ष्मी इन चारों को अतिप्रिय है इसीलिए यहां पर पूरे वर्ष हर हरि और माँ के भक्तों का आवागमन लगा रहता है श्रद्धालु दूर दूर से इस दिव्य स्थान पर दर्शन हेतु आते है

15 भीम ने अपने गौडे तक जल भरकर जिस स्थान पे तप किया था वो भीमगोडा कहलाया जो हरिद्वार में ही है

और भी बहुत कुछ महिमा है हरिद्वार की जो
यहां कह पाना असंभव है लेकिन हरिद्वार की महिमा अनन्त है जो सतयुग से महाभारत काल तक कि अनेक कथाएं और चमत्कार से भरी हुई है।

श्री धाम वृन्दावन

Hardwar, which is also known as Haridwar, its glory is eternal, which has been sung and told a lot in the scriptures or Puranas, but why is this glory, what is the reason for it, you read in this post.

1 Hardwar is first of all called the gate of Har because the mountains of the mountain ranges connected to Kailash of Har (Deva ke Dev Mahadevji) start from Hardwar, which go to Kailash, the gate of Har (Devadhidev Mahadev) and Hardwar Mahadevji’s utmost importance. It is also a dear place, for this reason it is also called the door of everyone, the door to reach everyone.

2 Haridwar is the place which was situated at the second place in the world, that is, Kashi Muktikshetra i.e. Anandvan was created first on the earth, which Lord Sadashiv created in his Shivlok with a trishul and established it on the earth, which is known as Trilok by the name of Kashi, which gives freedom. After that, the place that Brahma ji provided to his son Daksh Prajapati to rule on the earth was Haridwar, it was here that King Daksh established his city and used to rule here. It was the second city in the world, first Kashi and second Haridwar, that’s why it is famous.

3 Amrit spilled from Kumbh in Haridwar, which was running away with a demon named Swarbhanu, who was later known as Rahu Ketu due to beheading by Lord Vishnu, and the glory of Haridwar increased due to the spilled nectar, which was established in the nine planets. And it became Kumbhanagari where after 12 years Kumbh started.

It has become clear from the facts found in 4 Puranas and research that the place where the feet of Lord Vishnu first fell on the earth was Haridwar, later the marriage of Lord Vishnu and Mother Mahalakshmi took place in Mayapuri area of Haridwar. The place became very dear to Lord Vishnu and Mata Lakshmi and Lord Hari addressed it by his name and made it Haridwar, since then it has two names Har ka Dwar Hardwar and Har Ka Bhi Dwar Haridwar The first region of the world which is very dear to both Har and Hari. and is known as both

5 King Daksh had done penance to Goddess Adishakti and asked her for a boon to be born as a daughter in his house, then the mother was born in his house as Sati, the daughter of King Daksh; Childhood and youth passed here, he got Mahadevji as husband by doing penance, then Lord Mahadevji Brahma, Vishnuji, Indra Surya, Chandra etc. Devo and Lakshmi, Saraswati, Indrani, Gayatri etc. Goddesses and Rishi Munis and their ganas came here with a procession. And he was married to Mata Sati, due to this also the greatness of Haridwar increases.

6 King Daksh had performed the world-famous Yagya, that too in Haridwar’s Kankhal area where King Daksh’s palace was.

7 Gangatri, from where Gangaji originates, its path also goes through Haridwar, Gangaji goes to other places only through Haridwar, that is why its glory has increased even more by the grace of Mother Ganga.

8 Before going to Chardham Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath it is mandatory to worship in Haridwar which is God’s order in Shastras or Puranas because the way to reach Chardham also goes through Haridwar.

9 Mahadevji’s daughter Mata Manasa, who was the sister of Vasuki, the king of snakes, her abode is also in Haridwar, which is famous as Maa Manasa Devi, where thousands of devotees come from far and wide every day to visit Maa to fulfill their wishes. Mother is called Manasa Devi because of

10 In the Ramayana period, when Ahiravana and Mahiravana had taken Shriram to the underworld to sacrifice them to the goddess, Hanumanji, an incarnation of Mahadevji, had requested the goddess to postpone the sacrifice of Shriram, then the goddess told Hanumanji, I will leave this Patalpuri and leave Shivpuri. That is, I am going to the mountain range of Haridwar, you give me the sacrifice of these two demons, which will make me happy and religion will be established in Patal, then the goddess who rises from Patal and sits on the mountains of Haridwar, she is world famous by the name of Maa Chandidevi, Ravana in Ramayana. After winning the battle and after coming to Ayodhya, Shri Ram along with Sitaji Laxman, Bharat, Shatrughna and Hanumanji Maharaj came here and visited the mother and took the blessings of mother Chandidevi.

11 When Mata Sati burnt her body in the Yagya Kund in Daksha Yajna, then when Mahadev ji kept roaming the earth with her body for a long time and forgot the world, then Vishnu ji used his wheel named Kanta to destroy the body of Sati Mata. It was divided into parts, out of which the heart of Mata Sati fell in Haridwar and became known as Mayadevi, this Mayadevi became the family goddess of the residents of Haridwar and the glory of Haridwar increased.

It is also called Devbhoomi Haridwar because of being the favorite place of 12 incarnations of sages and goddesses.

13 Sitting on the top of the mountain, Mahadevji had commanded Virbhadra, Devi Mahakali, Bhairav, Kshetrapal, Nandi, Navadurga etc. army for the destruction of Daksh Yagya, that mountain peak is also in Haridwar which is known as Neelparvat. She goes

14 Haridwar is the only place in the world which is very dear to Lord Mahadev, Adishakti Mata, Lord Vishnu and Mata Lakshmi, that’s why there is movement of devotees of every Hari and Maa here throughout the year. Devotees come from far and wide to visit this divine place. Is

15 The place where Bhima did penance by filling water up to his gouda is called Bhimgoda which is in Haridwar itself.

There is much more glory of Haridwar which It is impossible to say here but the glory of Haridwar is infinite which is filled with many stories and miracles from Satyuga to Mahabharata period.
