दान

शहर में मंदिर बनने का काम जोर शोर से चल रहा था.. लाखों की तादाद में लोग मंदिर समिति को दान दे रहे थे जिससे मंदिर निर्माण में कोई रुकावट न आ सके.. रिक्शा चलाने वाला रामसेवक तीन दिन से रोज दान देने की इच्छा से जाता था और सोचता कि मैं भी कुछ दान करूँ और ईश्वर मेरी सेवा स्वीकार करें.. पर वहाँ लोगों को हजारों और लाखों की दान पर्ची कटवाते देख उसे हिचक होती और वह लौट जाता..
आज मंदिर के लिए दान देने का आखिरी दिन था.. क्योंकि मंदिर तैयार हो चुका था और कल मूर्तियों की स्थापना होनी थी.. रामसेवक से नहीं रहा गया, उसने अपनी जेब से पचास रुपये निकाले और बोला, ” भैया, यह पैसे ईश्वर की सेवा में लग जाते तो.. ” मंदिर समिति के कर्मचारी ने पचास रुपये देखकर मुंह बिचकाते हुए कहा कि पचास रुपये में क्या होगा फिर भी रामसेवक के बार बार कहने पर उसने वह पचास रुपये अपने कुर्ते की जेब में डाल लिए और इतने छोटे से दान के लिए पर्ची काटने से मना कर दिया.. रामसेवक संतोष की सांस लेता हुआ घर चला गया..
दूसरे दिन मंदिर में काफी भीड़ थी.. ज्यादा धन दान करने वालों के नाम अलग से लिखे हुए थे जिन्हें मूर्ति स्थापना के बाद सम्मानित किया जाना था.. मंत्रोच्चारण के साथ मूर्तियां लाल वस्त्रों से ढकी हुई परिसर में लाई गयीं.. पर यह क्या, भगवान की मूर्ति का मुकुट इतना ढीला था कि मूर्ति का चेहरा पूरा मुकुट से ढका हुआ था.. लोग परेशान थे कि नया मुकुट बनने में तो बहुत समय लगेगा और बिना मुकुट मूर्ति की स्थापना नहीं हो सकती.. तभी कारीगर को सलाह लेने के लिए बुलाया गया.. कारीगर बोला कि मुकुट में एक छोटी सी टेक लगते ही मुकुट अपनी जगह स्थिर हो जायेगा और मूर्ति का चेहरा सही से दिखने लगेगा..और उसने टेक की कीमत पचास रुपये बतायी.. मंदिर समिति के कर्मचारी ने अपने कुर्ते की जेब से रामसेवक द्वारा दान किये गये पचास रुपये निकाल कर कारीगर को दिये और कुछ देर में ही टेक लगते ही मुकुट स्थिर हो गया और मूर्ति स्थापना कर सभी ने ईश्वर के दर्शन किये.. ऐसा लग रहा था मानों ईश्वर ने रामसेवक का दान स्वीकार करने के बाद ही सभी भक्तजनों को अपने मुखमंडल के दर्शन कराये..
समर्पण के भाव से किया गया छोटा सा दान दिखावटी करोड़ों के दान से कहीं श्रेष्ठ है.. ।।।।

The construction of the temple in the city was going on in full swing. Lakhs of people were donating to the temple committee so that there could be no obstruction in the construction of the temple. If he would have been engaged in service..” The employee of the temple committee shrugged after seeing fifty rupees and said that what would happen in fifty rupees, yet on repeated requests of Ramsevak, he put that fifty rupees in his kurta’s pocket and gave such a small donation. Refused to cut the slip for.. Ramsevak went home breathing a sigh of satisfaction.. On the second day there was a huge crowd in the temple. The names of those who donated more money were written separately, who were to be honored after the installation of the idol. With chanting, the idols were brought to the premises covered with red clothes.. But what about? The crown of the idol of God was so loose that the face of the idol was covered with the entire crown. People were worried that it would take a lot of time to make a new crown and without the crown the idol could not be established. Called for it.. The artisan said that as soon as a small bow is taken in the crown, the crown will be fixed in its place and the face of the idol will be visible properly.. and he told the cost of the bow to fifty rupees.. The temple committee employee made his kurta. After taking out fifty rupees donated by Ramsevak from his pocket, he gave it to the artisan and within a while the crown became stable as soon as he leaned down and after installing the idol, everyone saw God. It seemed as if God had accepted the donation of Ramsevak. Only after that all the devotees should have darshan of their face.. A small donation made with the spirit of dedication is far better than a donation of crores of rupees.
