एक राजा बहुत दिनों से विचार कर रहा था कि वह राजपाट छोड़कर अध्यात्म (ईश्वर की खोज) में समय लगाए ।
राजा ने इस बारे में बहुत सोचा और फिर अपने गुरु को अपनी समस्याएँ बताते हुए कहा कि उसे राज्य का कोई योग्य वारिस नहीं मिल पाया है । राजा का बच्चा छोटा है, इसलिए वह राजा बनने के योग्य नहीं है ।
जब भी उसे कोई पात्र इंसान मिलेगा, जिसमें राज्य सँभालने के सारे गुण हों, तो वह राजपाट छोड़कर शेष जीवन अध्यात्म के लिए समर्पित कर देगा ।
“गुरु ने कहा, “राज्य की बागड़ोर मेरे हाथों में क्यों नहीं दे देते ? क्या तुम्हें मुझसे ज्यादा पात्र, ज्यादा सक्षम कोई इंसान मिल सकता है ?”
राजा ने कहा, “मेरे राज्य को आप से अच्छी तरह भला कौन संभल सकता है ? लीजिए, मैं इसी समय राज्य की बागडोर आपके हाथों में सौंप देता हूँ ।”
गुरु ने पूछा, “अब तुम क्या करोगे ?”
राजा बोला, “मैं राज्य के खजाने से थोड़े पैसे ले लूँगा, जिससे मेरा बाकी जीवन चल जाए ।”
गुरु ने कहा, “मगर अब खजाना तो मेरा है,मैं तुम्हें एक पैसा भी लेने नहीं दूँगा।”
राजा बोला, “फिर ठीक है, “मैं कहीं कोई छोटी-मोटी नौकरी कर लूँगा,उससे जो भी मिलेगा गुजारा कर लूँगा ।”
गुरु ने कहा,”अगर तुम्हें काम ही करना है तो मेरे यहाँ एक नौकरी खाली है।क्या तुम मेरे यहाँ नौकरी करना चाहोगे ?”
राजा बोला,”कोई भी नौकरी हो,मैं करने को तैयार हूँ ।”
गुरु ने कहा,”मेरे यहाँ राजा की नौकरी खाली है।मैं चाहता हूँ कि तुम मेरे लिए यह नौकरी करो और हर महीने राज्य के खजाने से अपनी तनख्वाह लेते रहना ।”
एक वर्ष बाद गुरु ने वापस लौटकर देखा कि राजा बहुत खुश था।अब तो दोनों ही काम हो रहे थे।
जिस अध्यात्म के लिए राजपाट छोड़ना चाहता था,वह भी चल रहा था और राज्य सँभालने का काम भी अच्छी तरह चल रहा था । अब उसे कोई चिंता नहीं थी ।
क्या परिवर्तन हुआ ?
कुछ भी तो नहीं!
राज्य वही,
राजा वही,
काम वही;
बस दृष्टिकोण बदल गया ।
इसी तरह जीवन में अपना दृष्टिकोण बदलें।
मालिक बनकर नहीं,बल्कि यह सोचकर सारे कार्य करें की, “मैं ईश्वर कि नौकरी कर रहा हूँ”
अब ईश्वर ही जाने।
सब कुछ ईश्वर पर छोड़ दें।
फिर आप हर समस्या और परिस्थिति में खुशहाल रह पाएँगे..!!

A king was thinking for a long time that he should leave the palace and spend time in spirituality (search for God).
The king thought a lot about this and then told his guru about his problems and said that he could not find any worthy heir to the kingdom. The king’s child is small, so he is not fit to be the king.
Whenever he finds an eligible person, who has all the qualities to handle the kingdom, he will leave the palace and dedicate the rest of his life to spirituality.
The Guru said, “Why don’t you hand over the reins of the kingdom to me? Can you find someone more deserving, more capable than me?”
The king said, “Who can handle my kingdom better than you? Come, I hand over the reins of the kingdom to your hands right now.”
The Guru asked, “What will you do now?”
The king said, “I will take some money from the state treasury, so that I can live the rest of my life.”
The Guru said, “But now the treasure is mine, I will not let you take even a penny.”
The king said, “Then it’s okay, “I will do some small job somewhere, I will live whatever I get from it.”
Guru said, “If you want to work then I have a job vacancy. Would you like to work with me?”
The king said, “Whatever the job is, I am ready to do it.”
The Guru said, “The job of the king is vacant here. I want you to do this job for me and keep taking your salary from the state treasury every month.”
After a year, the Guru returned and saw that the king was very happy. Now both the works were being done.
The spirituality for which he wanted to leave the Rajpat was also going on and the work of managing the state was going on well. Now he was not worried.
What changed? Nothing at all! the same state the same king work the same; Just changed the perspective.
Similarly change your outlook in life. Don’t be the boss, but do all the work thinking that “I am doing God’s job”. Now only God knows. Leave everything to God. Then you will be able to remain happy in every problem and situation..!! Long live Shri Krishna
