In the forest, the four brothers of Yudhishthira, Dharmaraj, were lying like dead on the banks of the lake. Distraught with thirst and fraternal grief, a Yaksha stood directly in front of Yudhishthira. Bhauma, Arjuna, Nakula and Sahdev were in this condition while trying to drink water without answering Yaksha’s questions. Yudhishthira had accepted Yaksha to answer his questions. Yaksha was asking question after question. Yudhishthirji was answering him patiently. One of the Yaksha’s last questions was – ‘What is wonder?’

Shesha: Steaditvamichhanti Kimashcharyamat: Param ॥
‘Nitya-Nitya – Everyday the living beings are going to Yamlok. (Everyone is seeing that everyday people are dying around them). But (yet) the remaining ones want to remain stable (immortal), what can be a bigger surprise than this.’ This was the answer of Dharmaraja.
