(7)अपनेको बड़ा न समझें
रामकृष्ण परमहंसके दो शिष्य इस बातपर झगड़ा करने लगे कि उनमें कौन बड़ा है ? झगड़ा तय न होनेपर गुरुदेवके पास जाकर उन्होंने पूछा-‘हम दोनोंमें कौन बड़ा है?’ परमहंसको शिष्योंकी बात सुनकर हँसी आ गयी। बोले-‘इस साधारण-सी बातके लिये परस्पर झगड़नेकी क्या आवश्यकता है? तुम्हारे प्रश्नका उत्तर तो बड़ा सरल है। जो दूसरेको बड़ा समझता है, वही बड़ा है।’ समस्याका समाधान पाकर वे एक-दूसरेको बड़ा समझने लगे।
(7) Do not consider yourself big
Two disciples of Ramakrishna Paramhansa started quarreling over who was bigger among them. When the dispute was not settled, he went to Gurudev and asked – ‘Who is bigger among us two?’ Paramhansa laughed after listening to the disciples. Said – ‘What is the need to fight with each other for this simple thing? The answer to your question is very simple. The one who considers others as great, he is great. After getting the solution to the problem, they started considering each other as bigger.
