सूरज भगवान की कहानी

एक ब्राम्हण था ,वह सूरज भगवान का भक्त था. नहाता,धोता,कहानी कहता था पर कमाता कुछ भी नहीं था. ब्राम्हण घर में रहता तो ब्रम्हाणी बार बार कमाने के लिए परेशान करती. बहार कहीं जाता तो अड़ोसी पडोसी भी उसे निकम्मा कह कर अपमानित करते. अतः एक दिन वो नहा -धोकर अपने पूजन की सामग्री ले कर वह जंगल में चला गया. वहाँ एक सूखे पीपल के पेड़ के नीचे बैठ कर पूजा पाठ करी, और सूरज भगवान की कथा करी. वहाँ पीपल के पास एक सूखा सा तालाब भी था. उसमे थोड़ा सा ही पानी था. उसी पानी से लोटा भरकर सूर्य भगवान को जल चढ़ाया. पूजा का जल बहकर पीपल और सूखे तालाब मई भी गया. जल के जाते ही सुख पीपल हरा-भरा तथा सुख तालाब साफ़ पानी से भर गया. उस जल में सूर्य भगवान दिखाई देने लगे. और कहने लगे ,”ब्राम्हण मांग तू क्या मांगता है.’?
ब्राम्हण ने सुना तो यो घबरा गया,सोचने लगा लगता है पीपल में कोई भूत रहता है. रोज जब वह पूजा करता तभी आवाज आती. सुन सुन कर वह चिंता के कारन दुबला होने लगा. ब्राम्हणी कभी कभी ब्राम्हण से मिलने जंगल आती थी उसने ब्राम्हण से पूछा ,आप दिन प्रतिदिन दुबले क्यों हुए जा रहे है? तब ब्राम्हण ने सारा हाल बताया. तब ब्राम्हणी ने कहा की आपके के बाद ही आवाज आती है न? मुझे तो लगता है की ,सूरज भगवान स्वयं आते है. इस बार जब आवाज आये तो तुम सब कुछ मांग लेना. ब्राम्हण ने बोला कैसे मांगू ?

ज्यादा कुछ कहना होगा तो में भूल जाऊंगा. कोई ऐसी तरकीब बताओ जिससे कम शब्दों में ज्यादा सा मिल जाए.
ब्राम्हणी ने कहा ,तुम इस प्रकार कहना “नौ खण्डे महल के अंदर सोने के पालने में पड़पोते को दास-दासियों द्वारा खिलाते अपनी आँखों से देखूँ। इस प्रकार लम्बी उम्र,महल,बेटे,पोते,पड़पोते,और धन सब मिल जाएगा. क्यों कि जब धन होगा तभी तो सोने का पलना, दास दासियाँ होंगे, और आँखे,घुटने,ठीक होंगे तभी तो पड़पोते को सोने के पालने में झूला झुला सकेंगे, और देख सकेंगे.
दूसरे दिन पूजा के बाद आवाज आयी तो ब्राम्हण ने वैसा ही कहा जैसे ब्राम्हणी ने समझाया था. सूरज भगवान ने कहा दिखने मई तो भोला लगता है,पर एक ही वार में सब मांग लिया. सूरज भगवान ने कहा -जा तेरी इच्छा पूरी होगी.

ब्राम्हण जंगल से घर आया तो,देखा की उसकी टूटी हुई झोपड़ी की जगज एक नौखण्डा महल खड़ा है. दास दासी आ जा रहे थे. ब्राम्हण ने उनसे कहा यहाँ मेरी झोपडी और बूढी ब्रम्हाणी थी ,कहा गयी ?
उस समय महल की खिड़की से एक सुन्दर औरत गहनो और सुन्दर कपड़ो से सजी हुई बहार आई. और बरमहं से बोली आ जाओ ये अपना ही घर है. सूरज भगवान ने तुम्हारी मनोकामना पूर्ण कर दी.
ब्राम्हण ने कहा हम इतने धन का क्या करेंगे?ब्रम्हाणी ने कहा ,”धन से क्या नहीं होता?दान पुण्य यज्ञ,होम करेंगे.”फिर ब्राम्हण ने वैसा ही किया।
अब सब राजा की जगह सूरज भगवान की कहानी करने लगे. राजा ने ये सब सुन कर ब्राम्हण को बुलवाया, और पूछा,कल तक तो आपको खाना भी नहीं मिलता था ,आज ये धन कहा से आ गया?कहाँ से चोरी,डाका डाला? ब्राम्हण ने कहा की ये सब तो सूर्य भगवान की कृपा है. और सारी कहानी बता दी.
राजा ने कहा मेरे पुत्र नहीं है,तो मुझे क्या करना चाहिए?ब्राम्हण ने राजा को सूर्य भगवान की पूजा की विधि बताई. राजा ने वैसा ही किया यो उसके पुत्र हो गया. सब लोग सूर्य भगवान की जय बोलने लगे.
हे सूर्य भगवान जैसे ब्राम्हण और राजा की मनोकामना पूर्ण की,वैसी सबकी करना. कहानी कहने वाली की ,कहानी सुनने वालों ,सबकी मनोकामना पूरी करना.

There was a brahmin, he was a devotee of the sun god. He used to bathe, wash, tell stories but earn nothing. If a Brahmin lived in the house, the Brahmin would repeatedly bother to earn. If he went somewhere outside, even the neighboring neighbors would humiliate him by calling him useless. So one day after taking a bath and taking the material of his worship, he went to the forest. There, sitting under a dry peepal tree, recited worship, and told the story of the sun god. There was also a dry little pond near Peepal. There was only a little water in it. Filling the lotus with the same water offered water to the Sun God. The water of worship went to peepal and dry ponds in May also. As soon as the water left, Sukh Peepal became green and Sukh pond was filled with clean water. Sun God started appearing in that water. And they said, “What do you ask for Brahmin.’? When the brahmin heard this, he got scared, started thinking that there is some ghost in the peepal. Every day when he worshiped, only then the sound would come. Hearing this, he started getting lean due to worry. Sometimes Brahmin used to come to the forest to meet Brahmin, he asked Brahmin, why are you getting lean day by day? Then the Brahmin told the whole situation. Then the Brahmin said that the voice comes only after you, doesn’t it? I think that the sun god himself comes. This time when the voice comes, you ask for everything. The brahmin said how can I ask?

If I have more to say, I will forget. Tell any such trick by which you can get more in less words. The brahmin said, “You should say this way, “I will see with my own eyes the great-grandson being fed by the slaves and maidservants in a sleeping cradle inside the nine khande palace. In this way you will get long life, palace, sons, grandsons, great-grandchildren, and wealth. Why? That when there is wealth, only then there will be gold cradles, slaves will be slaves, and if the eyes, knees, and feet will be fine, then only then will the great-grandson be able to swing in the cradle of gold, and be able to see. On the second day after the worship, when the voice came, the brahmin said the same way as the brahmin had explained. Sun God said that it may seem naive, but asked for everything in one shot. The sun god said – go, your wish will be fulfilled.

When the Brahmin came home from the forest, he saw that the world of his broken hut stood a Naukhanda palace. The maidservant was coming. The brahmin said to him that here was my hut and old brahmin, where was he? At that time a beautiful woman came out from the window of the palace, decorated with ornaments and beautiful clothes. And the barman said come, this is your own home. Sun God has fulfilled your wish. The brahmin said, what will we do with so much money? The brahmin said, “What does not happen with money? Will do charity, sacrifice, home.” Then the brahmin did the same. Now everyone started doing the story of the sun god instead of the king. The king, after hearing all this, called the Brahmin, and asked, till yesterday you did not even get food, where did this money come from today? Where did you steal, rob? The Brahmin said that all this is the grace of the Sun God. And told the whole story. The king said that I do not have a son, so what should I do? The Brahmin told the king the method of worshiping the Sun God. The king did the same as he became his son. Everyone started chanting the jai of the Sun God. O Sun God, like the Brahmins and the king’s wishes are fulfilled, so do everyone. Story teller, story teller, fulfilling everyone’s wish.
