यह निश्चित हो गया की प्राण प्रतिष्ठा के बाद निश्चित ही ठाकुर जी विग्रह में आ जाते हैं। एक दिन लाला बाबू जी ने विचार किया कि जब श्री विग्रह ताप में है तो श्वास भी चलती होगी। परीक्षण के लिए पुजारी जी से कहा- पुजारी जी ! ये थोड़ी सी रुई लेकर श्रीविग्रह की नासिका के नीचे थोड़ी देर लगा कर रखना। पुजारी जी हंसते हुए रुई का टुकड़ा ठाकुर जी की नासिका के नीचे लगाया तो देखा कि श्वास चलने के कारण रुई में कंपन होने लगा। लाला बाबू जी के आनंद की सीमा नहीं रही। वहीं मंदिर में लोट पोट होने लगे। भगवान अपने भक्तों को सुख प्रदान करने के लिए कुछ भी करने को तैयार है। एक दिन स्वपन में ठाकुर जी लाला बाबू जी से बोले – हम तुम्हारी सेवा से प्रसन्न हैं। हमें तुम्हारी एक और सेवा चाहिए। भिक्षा में एक मंदिर का निर्माण और चाहिए। लाला बाबू जी बोले- प्रभु! धन तो सारा खर्च हो गया। अब मंदिर कैसे बनाऊं? ठाकुर जी ने कहा- तुम अपने हृदय को मेरे रहने का स्थान बनाओ। अर्थात भजन के द्वारा हृदय में प्रेम मंदिर का निर्माण करो जहां मैं निरंतर वास करूं। लाला बाबू जी ने पूछा – प्रभु! आप ही बताए कि वह मंदिर कैसे बनाऊं? प्रभु बोले – तुम ब्रज मंडल में सारे तीर्थों का दर्शन करो और गोवर्धन में जाकर भजन करो।
ठाकुर जी की आज्ञा मानकर लाला बाबू जी ने समस्त तीर्थों का दर्शन किया और अब गोवर्धन में एक कच्ची गुफा में बैठकर भजन करने लगे। नित्य प्रातः गोवर्धन जी की परिक्रमा करते दिनभर भजन में रहते। सायंकाल एक बार मधुकरी को जाते। यह क्रम सहज रीति से चल रहा था। एक दिन लाला बाबू जी गोवर्धन जी की परिक्रमा कर रहे थे। मंदिर के पुजारी बोले- बाबा! आज मधुकरी को न जाना मैं संध्या समय ठाकुर जी का प्रसाद पहुंचा दूंगा। संध्या के समय घनघोर बारिश होने लगी। रात्रि में भी देर तक वृष्टि होती रही। पुजारी जी विचार में पड़ गए क्या करें ? आज बाबा भूखे होंगे। जब बारिश कम हो गई तो मंदिर में थाल लेने गए तो आश्चर्यचकित हो गए कि जो लाला बाबू जी को देने के लिए थाल सजा रखी थी, वह कल वहां नहीं थी। दूसरी थाल सजाकर लाला बाबू के पास आए तो लाला बाबू जी बोले -पुजारी जी! और प्रसाद क्यों ले आए ? पहले का ही प्रसाद बच गया। देखो! पुजारी जी ने थाल देखा तो आश्चर्य में पड़ गए। मैं तो थाल लाया नहीं फिर थाल यहाँ कैसे आया? लाला बाबू जी बोले आप ही तो दिए गए थे थोड़ी देर पहले! पुजारी जी बोले- मैं सौगन्ध पूर्वक कहता हूं वृष्टि के कारण मैं नहीं आ सका। मैं तो फल आदि सामान लेकर अबआया हूं। लाला बाबू जी प्रभु की अहैतु की कृपा का विचार करके रो पड़े। कंठ अवरुद्ध हो गया। कहने लगे -हाय प्रभु! इस अधम के लिए इतना कष्ट किया। आप आए और मैं पहचान नहीं सका। प्रभु कृपा की तो कृपा में कृपणता क्यों कृपासिंधु?
It has become certain that after the consecration of life, Thakur ji definitely comes to the Deity. One day Lala Babu ji thought that when Shri Deity is in heat, then breathing will also go on. Told the priest for the test- Priest ji! Take this little cotton and keep it under the nostrils of the deity for a while. The priest laughingly put a piece of cotton under Thakur ji’s nostril and saw that the cotton started vibrating due to breathing. There was no limit to Lala Babu ji’s joy. At the same time, the temple started rolling. God is ready to do anything to provide happiness to his devotees. One day, in a dream, Thakur ji said to Lala Babu ji – We are happy with your service. We need another service from you. A temple needs more to be built in alms. Lala Babu said – Lord! The money was all spent. How do I build a temple now? Thakur ji said- You make your heart my place to live. That is, through hymns, build a love temple in the heart where I will reside continuously. Lala Babu ji asked – Lord! Can you tell me how to build that temple? The Lord said – You should visit all the pilgrimages in Braj Mandal and go to Govardhan and do bhajan.
Following the orders of Thakur ji, Lala Babu ji visited all the pilgrimages and now sitting in a raw cave in Govardhan started doing bhajans. Daily in the morning, while doing the circumambulation of Govardhan ji, he used to live in hymns throughout the day. Once in the evening go to Madhukari. This sequence was going smoothly. One day Lala Babu ji was circumambulating Govardhan ji. The priest of the temple said – Baba! Don’t know Madhukari today, I will deliver Thakur ji’s prasad in the evening. It started raining heavily in the evening. It rained till late in the night also. The priest got into thinking what to do? Baba will be hungry today. When the rain subsided, he went to the temple to collect the plate, he was surprised that the plate decorated to be given to Lala Babuji was not there yesterday. When he came to Lala Babu after decorating the second plate, Lala Babu ji said – Priest ji! And why did you bring prasad? The earlier Prasad was saved. See! When the priest saw the plate, he was surprised. I did not bring the plate, then how did the plate come here? Lala babu ji said you were given a while back! The priest said – I say with an oath that I could not come because of the rain. I have now come with things like fruits etc. Lala Babu ji wept at the thought of the mercy of the Lord. Throat blocked. They started saying – hi lord! He had to suffer so much for this immature. You came and I could not recognize. If the grace of the Lord is there, then why there is miserliness in grace?
