कुपात्रको दानका फल
एक कसाई एक गायको दूर कसाईखानेकी ओर ले जा रहा था। बीच रास्तेमें एक जगह गायने आगे बढ़नेसे इनकार कर दिया। कसाई उसे पीटता, पर वह टस-से मस न होती। बड़ी मुसीबत थी। आखिर कसाई भूख प्यास और थकावटके मारे तंग आ गया। तब गायको एक पेड़से बाँध वह गाँवमें एक अतिथिशालामें जा पहुँचा। वहाँ भरपेट भोजन करनेके बाद उसमें ताकत आयी और तब आसानीसे उस गायको कसाईखाने ले जाकर उसने उसकी हत्या की। गोहत्याके पापका बहुत-सा भाग उस | अतिथिशालाके लिये अपनी लौकिक उन्नति और यशको कामनासे अन्नदान करनेवाले मालिकको लगा; क्योंकि उसकी सहायताके बिना कसाई गायको ले जानेमें समर्थन होता। इसलिये भोजन या अन्य वस्तुका सकाम दान देते समय यह विचार करना चाहिये कि दान ग्रहण करनेवाला व्यक्ति कहीं दुर्जन या पापी तो नहीं है, कहीं वह उस दानका दुरुपयोग तो नहीं करेगा।

A butcher was taking a cow away towards the slaughterhouse. At one point in the middle, the cow refused to move forward. The butcher would beat her, but she would not budge. There was a big problem. After having a hearty meal there, he regained strength and then easily took the cow to the slaughterhouse and killed her. A lot of the sin of cow slaughter is attributed to him. The owner who donated food with desire felt his worldly progress and fame for the inn; Because without his help the butcher would have had support in taking away the cows. That’s why, while donating food or other things, it should be considered whether the person receiving the donation is evil or a sinner, whether he will misuse that donation.
