शिव धनुषशक्तिशाली और चमत्कारिक

रावण ने कैलाश पर्वत को उठा लिया फिर धनुष क्यों नहीं उठा पाया और श्रीराम ने कैसे धनुष तोड़ दिया..??

ऐसा था धनुष : भगवान शिव का धनुष बहुत ही शक्तिशाली और चमत्कारिक था। शिव ने जिस धनुष को बनाया था उसकी टंकार से ही बादल फट जाते थे और पर्वत हिलने लगते थे। ऐसा लगता था मानो भूकंप आ गया हो।यह धनुष बहुत ही शक्तिशाली था।इसी के एक तीर से त्रिपुरासुर की तीनों नगरियों को ध्वस्त कर दिया गया था। इस धनुष का नाम पिनाक था।देवी और देवताओं के काल की समाप्ति के बाद इस धनुष को देवराज इन्द्र को सौंप दिया गया था।

देवताओं ने राजा जनक के पूर्वज देवराज को दे दिया।राजा जनक के पूर्वजों में निमि के ज्येष्ठ पुत्र देवराज थे।शिव-धनुष उन्हीं की धरोहरस्वरूप राजा जनक के पास सुरक्षित था।उनके इस विशालकाय धनुष को कोई भी उठाने की क्षमता नहीं रखता था, लेकिन भगवान राम ने इसे उठाकर इसकी प्रत्यंचा चढ़ाई और इसे एक झटके में तोड़ दिया।

श्रीराम चरितमानस में एक चौपाई आती है:-

“उठहु राम भंजहु भव चापा।
मेटहु तात जनक परितापाI”

भावार्थ- गुरु विश्वामित्र जनकजी को बेहद परेशान और निराश देखकर श्री रामजी से कहते हैं कि हे पुत्र श्रीराम उठो और “भव सागर रुपी” इस धनुष को तोड़कर, जनक की पीड़ा का हरण करो।”

इस चौपाई में एक शब्द है ‘भव चापा’ अर्थात इस धनुष को उठाने के लिए शक्ति की नहीं बल्कि प्रेम और निरंकार की जरूरत थी।यह मायावी और दिव्य धनुष था।उसे उठाने के लिए दैवीय गुणों की जरूरत थी।कोई अहंकारी उसे नहीं उठा सकता था।

रावण एक अहंकारी मनुष्‍य था। वह कैलाश पर्वत तो उठा सकता था लेकिन धनुष नहीं।धनुष को तो वह हिला भी नहीं सकता था। वन धनुष के पास एक अहंकारी और शक्तिशाली व्यक्ति का घमंड लेकर गया था।रावण जितनी उस धनुष में शक्ति लगाता वह धनुष और भारी हो जाता था। वहां सभी राजा अपनी शक्ति और अहंकार से हारे थे।

जब प्रभु श्रीराम की बारी आई तो वे समझते थे कि यह कोई साधारण धनुष नहीं बल्की भगवान शिव का धनुष है। इसीलिए सबसे पहले उन्हों धनुष को प्रणाम किया।फिर उन्होंने धनुष की परिक्रमा की और उसे संपूर्ण सम्मान दिया।प्रभु श्रीराम की विनयशीलता और निर्मलता के समक्ष धनुष का भारीपन स्वत: ही तिरोहित हो गया और उन्होंने उस धनुष को प्रेम पूर्वक उठाया और उसकी प्रत्यंचा चढ़ाई और उसे झुकाते ही धनुष खुद ब खुद टूट गया।

कहते हैं कि जिस प्रकार सीता शिवजी का ध्यान कर सहज भाव बिना बल लगाए धनुष उठा लेती थी,उसी प्रकार श्रीराम ने भी धनुष को उठाने का प्रयास किया और सफल हुए…

Ravana lifted Mount Kailash, then why couldn’t he lift the bow and how did Shriram break the bow..??

Such was the bow: Lord Shiva’s bow was very powerful and miraculous. The clouds used to burst and the mountains used to move by the bow which Shiva had made. It seemed as if an earthquake had occurred. This bow was very powerful. All the three cities of Tripurasura were demolished with one arrow of this. The name of this bow was Pinaka. After the end of the period of gods and goddesses, this bow was handed over to Devraj Indra.

The gods gave it to King Janak’s ancestor Devraj. Nimi’s eldest son Devraj was among the ancestors of King Janak. Shiva-bow was safe with King Janak as his heritage. No one had the ability to lift this giant bow of his, But Lord Rama lifted it up and climbed it and broke it in one stroke.

There is a chapai in Shri Ram Charitmanas: –

“Uthahu Ram bhanjahu bhav chapa.
Methu Tat Janak ParitapaI”

Meaning- Guru Vishwamitra, seeing Janakji very upset and disappointed, says to Shri Ramji that O son Shriram, get up and break this bow in the form of “Bhav Sagar” and take away the pain of Janak.

There is a word in this chaupai ‘Bhav Chapa’ which means that to lift this bow it was not power but love and nirankar. It was an elusive and divine bow. Divine qualities were needed to lift it. Could have done.

Ravana was an arrogant man. He could lift Mount Kailash but not the bow. He could not even move the bow. The forest had come to the bow carrying the pride of an arrogant and powerful person. The more power Ravana put into that bow, the more heavy the bow became. There all the kings were defeated by their power and arrogance.

When Lord Shri Ram’s turn came, he understood that it was not an ordinary bow but the bow of Lord Shiva. That’s why he first bowed down to the bow. Then he circumambulated the bow and gave him full respect. The heaviness of the bow automatically disappeared in front of Lord Shri Ram’s humility and purity and he lifted that bow with love and climbed its string And as soon as he bowed it, the bow broke by itself.

It is said that just as Sita used to lift the bow without using any force after meditating on Lord Shiva, in the same way Shriram also tried to lift the bow and succeeded…
