हमारा वास्तविक धन क्या है

“संसार में कुछ चीज़ें धन से खरीदी जा सकती हैं, जैसे रोटी कपड़ा मकान मोटर गाड़ी सोना चांदी इत्यादि।”
“परंतु कुछ चीज़ें ऐसी होती हैं, जो धन से खरीदी नहीं जा सकती। जैसे सभ्यता नम्रता सेवा परोपकार दान दया इत्यादि गुण।”
संसार के लोग, उन लोगों को ‘बड़ा धनवान’ मानते और समझते हैं, जिनके पास रुपया पैसा आदि भौतिक साधन अधिक हों। और वे लोग रुपए पैसे से ऊपर बताई बहुत सी चीज़ें खरीद भी लेते हैं। “परन्तु उतने सुखी नहीं दिखाई देते, जितने सुखी वे होना चाहते हैं।”
वेदों और ऋषियों के अनुसार अधिक धनवान व्यक्ति वह नहीं होता, जो धन से अधिक चीज़ें खरीद सकता हो। “बल्कि ऋषि लोग अधिक धनवान उसे मानते हैं, जो सभ्यता नम्रता सेवा परोपकार दान दया इत्यादि उत्तम गुणों को धारण करता है।” “ऋषि लोग भौतिक धन संपत्ति को अधिक महत्व नहीं देते। क्योंकि भौतिक धन संपत्ति से व्यक्ति उतना सुखी नहीं हो पाता, जितना कि वह सभ्यता नम्रता सेवा परोपकार दान दया इत्यादि उत्तम गुणों से सुखी हो पाता है।”
“मनुष्य का मुख्य लक्ष्य तो सुख प्राप्ति है, धन या भौतिक साधन नहीं।” “अतः जिन सभ्यता नम्रता सेवा परोपकार दान दया इत्यादि उत्तम गुणों से विशेष सुख प्राप्त होता है, उन्हीं का मूल्य अधिक मानना चाहिए, और उन्हें जीवन में अवश्य ही धारण करना चाहिए। ऐसे गुण धन से नहीं खरीदे जा सकते।”
आप भी यदि अपने जीवन में अधिक सुखी होना चाहते हों, “तो धन भले ही कमाएं, इस बात का विरोध नहीं है। परंतु उस से अधिक महत्व उत्तम गुणों को देवें। क्योंकि उन्हीं से आपको अधिक सुख शान्ति सन्तोष और आनन्द मिलेगा, और तभी आपका जीवन सफल होगा।” “वास्तव में धनवान व्यक्ति वही होता है, जिसके पास सभ्यता नम्रता सेवा परोपकार दान दया इत्यादि उत्तम गुण हों।”
