श्रीहनुमान जी को चोला चढाने से साधक को श्रीहनुमान जी कृपा प्राप्त होती है। ऐसा करने से श्री हनुमानजी प्रसन्न होते हैं। हनुमानजी को चोला चढ़ाने से जातक के ऊपर चल रही शनि की साढ़े साती, ढैया, दशा या अंतरदशा या राहू या केतु की दशा या अंतरदशा में हो रहे कष्ट समाप्त हो जाते हैं। साथ ही साधक के संकट और रोग दूर हो जाते हैं ! जातक की दीर्घायु होती है।
यह तो आप सब जानते हैं कि भगवान श्री हनुमानजी भगवान शिव के ग्यारहवें रूद्र अवतार हैं। हमारे हिन्दू धर्म में सिंदूर का बहुत महत्व बताया गया हैं। ऐसे में मान्यता है कि साधक के श्री हनुमानजी को ख़ास कर सिंदूर का चोला चढाने से श्री रामजी की भी कृपा प्राप्त होती है।
हनुमान जी को चोला चढ़ाने की सामग्री-
हनुमानजी को चोला चढ़ाने के लिए श्री हनुमानजी वाला सिंदूर, गाय का घी या चमेली का तेल, शुद्ध गंगाजल मिश्रित जल, चांदी या सोने का वर्क या माली पन्ना (चमकीला कागज), धूप व दीप, श्रीहनुमान चालीसा चाहिए होता है।
चोला चढ़ाने की विधि-
हनुमानजी को चोला चढ़ाने से पहले पुराना चोला उतारकर साफ़ गंगाजल से मिश्रित जल से स्नान करना चाहिये। स्नान के बाद प्रतिमा को साफ कपड़े से पोछने के बाद सिंदूर में घी या चमेली का तेल मिलाकर गाढ़ा लेप बना ले इसके बाद सीधे हाथ से हनुमान जी के सर से आरम्भ करके सम्पूर्ण शरीर पर लेपन करें।
सावधानियां-
श्री हनुमानजी को चोला मंगलवार, शनिवार या विशेष पर्व जैसे की श्रीहनुमान जंयती, रामनवमी, दीपवाली, व होली के दिन चढ़ा सकते है, इसके अलावा अन्य दिन चढ़ाना निषेध माना गया है।
श्री हनुमानजी के लिए लगाने वाला सिंदूर सवा के हिसाब से लगाना चाहिए, जैसे कि सवा पाव, सवा किलो आदि ।
सिंदूर में मंगलवार के दिन देसी गाय का घी एवं शनिवार के दिन केवल चमेली के तेल का ही प्रयोग करना चाहिए।
हनुमानजी को चोला चढ़ाने के समय साधक को पवित्र यानी साफ़ लाल या पीले रंग के वस्त्र धारण करने चाहिए।
श्री हनुमानजी चोला चढाते समय सिंदूर में गाय का घी या चमेली का तेल ही मिलाना चाहिए।
हनुमानजी को चोला चढ़ाने से पहले पुराने चोले को उतारना जरुर चाहिए और उसके बाद उस चोले को बहते हुए जल में बहा देना चाहिए।
श्री हनुमानजी की प्रतिमा पर चोला का लेपन अच्छी तरह मलकर, रगड़कर चढ़ाना चाहिए उसके बाद चांदी या सोने का वर्क चढ़ाना चाहिए।
चोला चढ़ाते समय नीचे दिए गये मंत्र का जाप करते रहना चाहिए।
सिन्दूरं रक्तवर्णं च सिन्दूरतिलकप्रिये।
भक्तयां दत्तं मया देव सिन्दूरं प्रतिगृह्यताम।।
श्री हनुमानजी को स्त्री द्वारा चोला नही चढ़ाना चाहिए और ना ही चोला चढ़ाते समय स्त्री मंदिर में होनी चाहिए।
हनुमानजी को चोला चढ़ाने के समय साधक की श्वास प्रतिमा पर नही लगनी चाहिए।
श्री हनुमानजी को चोला सृष्टि क्रम (पैरों से मस्तक तक चढ़ाने में देवता सौम्य रहते हैं) में चढ़ाना चाहिए। संहार क्रम (मस्तक से पैरों तक) में चढ़ाने में देवता उग्र हो जाते हैं। यदि आपको कोई मनोकामना पूरी करनी है तो पहले उग्र क्रम से चढ़ाये मनोकामना पूरी होने के बाद सोम्य क्रम में चढ़ाये। चोला चढ़ाने के बाद हनुमानजी को लड्डू का भोग लगाकर नीचे दिए क्रम से धूप दीप के बाद क्षमा याचना करें।
धूप-दीप-
अब इस मंत्र के साथ हनुमानजी को धूप-दीप दिखाएं-
साज्यं च वर्तिसंयुक्तं वह्निना योजितं मया।
दीपं गृहाण देवेश त्रैलोक्यतिमिरापहम्।।
भक्त्या दीपं प्रयच्छामि देवाय परमात्मने।
त्राहि मां निरयाद् घोराद् दीपज्योतिर्नमोस्तु ते।।
ऊँ हनुमते नम:, दीपं दर्शयामि।।
पूजन वंदन-
इसके पश्चात एक थाली में कर्पूर एवं घी का दीपक जलाकर ११ बार श्रीहनुमान चालीसा का पाठ करें व अंत में श्री हनुमानजी की आरती करें। इस प्रकार पूजन करने से हनुमानजी अति प्रसन्न होते हैं तथा साधक की हर मनोकामना पूरी करते हैं।
क्षमा याचना-
श्री हनुमानजी पूजन के पश्चात अज्ञानतावश पूजन में कुछ कमी रह जाने या गलतियों के लिए भगवान् श्री हनुमानजी के सामने हाथ जोड़कर निम्नलिखित मंत्र का जप करते हुए क्षमा याचना करें।
मन्त्रहीनं क्रियाहीनं भक्तिहीनं सुरेश्वरं।
यत पूजितं मया देव, परिपूर्ण तदस्त्वैमेव च।।
आवाहनं न जानामि, न जानामि विसर्जनं।
पूजा चैव न जानामि, क्षमस्व परमेश्वरं।।
।। श्रीहनुमते नमः ।।
By offering chola to Shri Hanuman ji, the seeker receives the blessings of Shri Hanuman ji. By doing this Shri Hanumanji becomes pleased. By offering Chola to Hanumanji, the troubles being faced by the person during the Sade Sati, Dhaiya, Dasha or Antardasha of Saturn or the Dasha or Antardasha of Rahu or Ketu get eliminated. Also the troubles and diseases of the seeker go away. The person has a long life.
You all know that Lord Shri Hanumanji is the eleventh Rudra incarnation of Lord Shiva. Sindoor has been given great importance in our Hindu religion. In such a situation, it is believed that by offering a vermilion robe especially to Shri Hanumanji, the seeker also receives the blessings of Shri Ramji.
Materials for offering chola to Hanuman ji- To offer Chola to Hanumanji, one needs Shri Hanumanji’s vermillion, cow’s ghee or jasmine oil, pure water mixed with Ganga water, silver or gold work or Mali Panna (shiny paper), incense and lamp, Shri Hanuman Chalisa.
Method of offering chola- Before offering the chola to Hanumanji, one should take off the old chola and take bath with water mixed with clean Ganga water. After bathing, wipe the idol with a clean cloth and make a thick paste by mixing ghee or jasmine oil in vermilion and then apply it on the entire body of Hanuman ji starting from the head with your straight hand.
Precautions- Chola can be offered to Shri Hanumanji on Tuesday, Saturday or special festivals like Shri Hanuman Jayanti, Ramnavami, Deepawali, and Holi, apart from this, offering it on other days is considered prohibited.
The vermillion applied for Shri Hanumanji should be applied in proportion, like 1.25 pav, 1.25 kg etc.
Desi cow ghee should be used in vermilion on Tuesday and only jasmine oil should be used on Saturday.
While offering Chola to Hanumanji, the seeker should wear pure i.e. clean red or yellow colored clothes.
While offering Chola to Shri Hanumanji, only cow’s ghee or jasmine oil should be mixed in vermillion.
Before offering the chola to Hanumanji, one must remove the old chola and after that that chola should be washed in flowing water.
Chola paste should be applied on the idol of Shri Hanumanji by rubbing it well and then silver or gold work should be applied on it.
While offering chola, one should keep chanting the mantra given below.
Sindur and red in color, dear to the sindur tilaka. O Lord accept the sindur offered by me with devotion
A woman should not offer chola to Shri Hanumanji nor should a woman be in the temple at the time of offering chola.
While offering chola to Hanumanji, the breath of the seeker should not touch the idol.
Chola should be offered to Shri Hanumanji in the order of creation (God is gentle in offering it from feet to head). The gods become furious when offered in the order of slaughter (from head to feet). If you have to fulfill any wish, then first offer it in Ugra order and after the wish is fulfilled, offer it in Somya order. After offering chola, offer laddus to Hanumanji and seek forgiveness after lighting incense sticks in the order given below.
sunshine-lamp- Now show incense sticks to Hanumanji with this mantra-
I added the equipment and the pots to the fire. O Lord of the gods accept this lamp which dispels the darkness of the three worlds
With devotion I offer the lamp to the Supreme God. Save me from this dreadful hell O lamp-light I offer my obeisances unto Thee.

worship- After this, light a lamp of camphor and ghee in a plate and recite Shri Hanuman Chalisa 11 times and finally perform the Aarti of Shri Hanumanji. By worshiping in this way, Hanumanji becomes very happy and fulfills every wish of the seeker.
Apologies- After worshiping Shri Hanumanji, fold your hands in front of Lord Hanumanji and chant the following mantra and seek forgiveness for any omissions or mistakes made in the worship due to ignorance.
Without mantras, without action, without devotion, the Lord of the gods. Whatever I have worshipped, O Lord, is perfect in You.
I don’t know how to invoke, I don’t know how to dismiss. I don’t even know how to worship, forgive me, Lord.
