“नन्हे कृष्ण कन्हैया अपनी मैया यशोदा से झगड़ रहे हैं, ‘काचो दूध पियावति पचि-पिच’- कहती है दिन में कई बार कच्चा दूध पिया करो मेरे लाल चोटी ‘नागिन सी लाम्बी मोटी’ हो जायेगी, कितना समय व्यतीत हो गया अभी भी वैसी की वैसी ही है छोटी सी, तनिक भी तो नही लम्बी हुई। रोष में रूठ गये हैं नन्हे कान्हा अपनी मैया से।
बलि बलि जा रही है मैया अपने प्राण प्रिय लला की रूठने की मुद्रा पर और मुस्कराते हुये उठ कर कुछ रूठे, कुछ चंचल, कुछ मचले, कुछ अकड़े लाडले के पास आकर, उसे अपनी गोद में उठा लेती हैं। मैया को भय है कि कहीं उसके लाडले का मन दूध पीने से हट ही न जाये। अत: वह और अन्य कई तर्क देकर अपने लला को आश्वस्त करती है-
“मेरे नन्हे कुवँर, जैसे बृज के और बालक हैं उसी प्रकार कजरी का दूध पीने से तुम्हारी भी चोटी शीघ्र ही बढ़ जायेगी”
मैया ने किसी प्रकार अपने लाडले लला को मना ही लिया और वह कजरी गैया का दूध पीने कोसहमत हो गये। मैया बड़े लाड़ से अति स्वादिष्ट दूध बनवा कर अपने लला को पिला रही है। कितना मनभावन अलौकिक दृश्य है, अद्भुत चित्रण !
नन्हे कान्हा एक घूटँ दूध पीते हैं और तुरंत दूसरा हाथ पीछे कर अपनी चोटी टटोलते हैं कि बढ़ी या नहीं, पुनः फिर एक घूटँ की भरते हैं और हाथ पीछे कर पुनः अपनी चोटी टटोलते हैं की चोटी बढ़रही है या नहीं- कही मैया केवल झूठी दिलासा ही तो नही दे रही दूध पिलाने के लिये।
घर के सारे सदस्य नन्हे कान्हा की इस शिशु-सुलभ-भोली भावयुक्त लीला पर मुग्ध हो हो कर अपनी सुधा बुध खो रहे हैं। मैया यशोदा अवाक, अपलक, किंकर्तव्यविमूढ़ सी अपने लाड़ले प्राण-धन को निमिमेष निरखे जा रही है। नन्हे कान्हा की इन निर्मल निश्छल बाल-सुलभ शिशु लीलाओं का आनन्द- इस धरा पर कौन है ऐसा जिसके अन्तर्मन में रसधार का प्रस्फुरण न कर देगा, इसके लिये तो देव, सुर, ऋषि, मुनि भी प्रति क्षण ललायित रहतें हैं।”जय श्री कृष्ण कन्हैया लाल की जय श्री राम

What a lovely supernatural scene, wonderful illustration! Little Kanha drinks a sip of milk and immediately after holding the other hand, gropes his peak whether it has grown or not, then again fills a sip of milk and after reaching back, again gropes his peak whether the peak is growing or not – Somewhere Maya is only a false comfort Not even giving milk to feed. All the members of the house are losing their Sudha Mercury by being enchanted by this child-friendly-naive leela of little Kanha. Maya Yashoda, speechless, sullen, irritable, is being blown away by her dear life and wealth.
