हे वृषभानुराज-नन्दिनि ! हे अतुल प्रेम-रस-सुधा-निधान !
गाय चराता वन-वन भटकूँ, क्या समझूँ मैं प्रेम विधान ॥
ग्वाल-बालकों के सँग डोलूँ, खेलूँ सदा गँवारू खेल ।
प्रेम-सुधा सरिता तुमसे मुझ तप्त धूलका कैसा मेल ॥
तुम स्वामिनि अनुरागिणि ! जब देती हो प्रेमभरे दर्शन ।
तब अति सुख पाता मैं, मुझपर बढ़ता अमित तुम्हारा ऋण ॥
कैसे ऋणका शोध करूँ मैं, नित्य प्रेम-धनका कंगाल ।
तुम्हीं दया कर प्रेमदान दे, मुझको करती रहो निहाल ॥

हे वृषभानु नंदिनी श्री राधा, हे अतुल-प्रेम-रस-सुधा निधान, मैं तो वन-वन भटकता हुआ गाय चराता हूँ, मैं प्रेम-विधान क्या जानूँ ?
मैं तो ग्वाल-बालकों के संग वन वन में डोलता रहता हूँ, सदैव गँवारों जैसा खेल खेलता हूँ । तुम प्रेम-सुधा की सरिता हो एवं मैं तप्त धुल, मेरा तुम्हारा कैसा मेल ?
हे स्वामिनी, तुम अनुरागिनी हो, जब मुझे अपने प्रेम-भरे दर्शन देती हो तब मैं अति सुख पता हूँ, मुझपर तुम्हारा अमित ऋण बढ़ जाता है ।
मैं इस ऋण को कैसे चुका पाऊंगा, मैं तो नित्य ही प्रेम-धन का कंगाल हूँ । तुमहिं मुझ पर दया कर प्रेमदान करती रहो, ऐसे ही मुझे निहाल करती रहो ।
