यह मंदिर छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य के गरियाबंद जिले में राजिम नगर में स्थित है। यह स्मारक छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य द्वारा संरक्षित है। पुरातत्वीय धार्मिक एवं सांस्कृति महत्व का स्थल राजिम रायपुर से 48 कि॰मी॰ दक्षिण में महानदी के दक्षिण तट पर स्थित है जहां पैरी एवं सोंढूर नदी का महानदी से संगम होता है। इसका प्राचीन नाम ‘कमल क्षेत्र’ एवं ‘पद्मपुर’ था। इसे ‘छत्तीसगढ़ का प्रयाग’ माना जाता है। राजिम कें राजीव लोचन देवालय में विष्णु भगवान की पूजा होती है। राजेश्वर, दानेश्वर एवं रामचन्द्र मंदिर इस समूह के अन्य महत्वपूर्ण मंदिर है। कुलेश्वर शिव मंदिर संगम स्थली पर ऊंची जगती पर निर्मित है। नवीं शती ई. में निर्मित यह मंदिर पूर्वाभिमुखी है। इस मंदिर में गर्भगृह, अन्तराल एवं मण्डप है। मण्डप की भित्ति में आठ पंक्तियों का क्षरित-अस्पष्ट प्रस्तर अभिलेख जड़ा हुआ है। यहां क्षेत्रीय कला एवं स्थापत्य से संबंधी दुर्लभ कलात्मक प्रतिमाएं मण्डप में दर्शनीय हैं।यह काफी प्राचीन मंदिरों में इसकी गिनती किया जाता है मान्यता है कि यहाँ का शिवलिंग कि स्थापना माता सीता ने अपने हाथो से किया था और राम लक्ष्मण सीता तीनो मिलकर देवो के देव कि यही पर विधि विधान से पूजा अर्चना किया था जिस कारण यह स्थान परम तीर्थ के रूप में पूजा गया यहाँ पर भारी मात्रा में शिव जी के भक्त बाबा के दरबार में आते है

यहाँ पर सबसे ज्यादा भीड़ महाशिवरात्रि को देखा जाता है कहते है इस दिन बाबा सहज जल अर्पण मात्र से ही प्रसन्न हो जाते है और मन चाही वरदान दे देते है जिसके कारण यहाँ लाखो कि संख्या में भीड़ उमड़ती है बाबा के जयकारे से पूरा नदी तट कम्पाय मान हो जाता है जो देखने लायक होता है यहाँ पर सावन सोमवारी में बाबा कि जल अर्पण करने के लिए दूर दूर से भक्त आते है

इस त्रिवेणी संगम में बरसात के दिनों में कितना भी जल प्रवाह होते रहे मगर भक्त जन बाबा कि पूजा अर्चना करना बंद नही करते और कुछ तो नौका से बाबा कि पूजा अर्चना करने जाते है इससे पता लगता है कि बाबा के उपर लोंगो कि अटूट श्रधा देखी जा सकती है

छत्तीसगढ़ को भगवान राम के वनवास काल के पथगमन मार्ग के रूप में चिह्नित किया गया है और इस तथ्य को प्रमाणित करते हुए कई अवशेष यहां मौजूद हैं। इन्हीं में से एक प्रतीक है राजिम का कुलेश्वर महादेव मंदिर। महानदी, पैरी और सोंढूर नदियों के त्रिवेणी संगम पर स्थित इस मंदिर के बारे में कहा जाता है कि जिस जगह मंदिर स्थित है, वहां कभी वनवास काल के दौरान मां सीता ने देवों के देव महादेव के प्रतीक रेत का शिवलिंग बनाकर उसकी पूजा की थी। आज जो मंदिर यहां मौजूद है उसका निर्मांण आठवीं शताब्दी में हुआ था

This temple is located in Rajim Nagar in Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh state. This monument is protected by the State of Chhattisgarh. A site of archaeological, religious and cultural importance, Rajim is located 48 km south of Raipur on the south bank of the Mahanadi river, where Pari and Sondhur rivers meet the Mahanadi. Its ancient name was ‘Kamal Kshetra’ and ‘Padmapur’. It is considered as ‘Prayag of Chhattisgarh’. Lord Vishnu is worshiped in Rajiv Lochan Devalaya of Rajim. Rajeshwar, Daneshwar and Ramchandra temples are other important temples of this group. The Kuleshwar Shiva temple is built on a high platform at the confluence site. Built in the ninth century AD, this temple is east-facing. This temple has sanctum sanctorum, antaral and mandap. A stone inscription of eight lines is inscribed in the wall of the pavilion. Here, rare artistic sculptures related to regional art and architecture are visible in the mandap. It is counted among the many ancient temples. It is believed that the Shivling here was established by Mother Sita with her own hands and Ram, Lakshman and Sita together are the gods of gods. That this place was worshiped according to law, due to which this place was worshiped as the ultimate pilgrimage, here a large number of devotees of Lord Shiva come to Baba’s court.

The biggest crowd is seen here on Mahashivratri, it is said that on this day Baba becomes happy just by offering simple water and gives the desired boon, due to which lakhs of people throng here. It becomes respectable which is worth seeing. Devotees come from far and wide to offer water to Baba on Sawan Somwari.

No matter how much water flows in this Triveni Sangam during the rainy days, the devotees do not stop worshiping Baba and some even go by boat to worship Baba. May go

Chhattisgarh has been marked as the pilgrimage route of Lord Rama during his exile and many relics are present here proving this fact. One of these symbols is the Kuleshwar Mahadev Temple of Rajim. It is said about this temple located at the Triveni Sangam of Mahanadi, Pari and Sondhur rivers that the place where the temple is situated, during the period of exile, Mother Sita worshiped Mahadev, the God of Gods, by making a Shivling of sand. The temple that exists here today was built in the eighth century.
