सन्त हरिदास जी

सन्त हरिदास जी पर मार पड़ी, शरीरसे खून निकलने लगा | मारने वाले कहते – ‘हरि-नाम लेना छोड़ दो |’ हरिदास जी ने सोचा – ये हमें मारते हैं तथा मारते हुए हरि-नाम लेने के लिये मना करते हुए इनके मुँह से हरि-नाम का उच्चारण हो जाता है, इससे अच्छी बात ओर क्या होगी | हरिदास जी ने कहा – ‘भैया ! फिर मारो और हरि-नाम लो |’ मार पड़ती गयी | हरिदास बेहोश हो गये | मरा जानकर लोगों ने उन्हें गंगाजी में फेंक दिया, पर वे मरे नहीं थे | गंगाजी से बाहर निकल आये और भगवान् से मारने वालों के कल्याण की प्रार्थना करने लगे |
उमा संत कइ इहइ बड़ाई |
मंद करत जो करइ भलाई ||
यही सन्त का महत्व है |

Sant Haridas ji was killed, blood started coming out of the body. Those who kill would say – ‘Stop taking Hari-naam.’ Haridas ji thought – they kill us and while refusing to take Hari-naam while killing, Hari-naam is uttered from their mouth, better than that. What will happen Haridas ji said – ‘Brother! Then kill and take the name of Hari. Haridas fainted. Knowing he was dead, people threw him in Gangaji, but he was not dead. Came out of Gangaji and started praying to God for the welfare of those who killed him. Uma sant kai ihai badai | Do whatever is good This is the importance of the saint.
