तुलसीदास  राम मिलन

काशी में एक जगह पर तुलसीदास रोज रामचरित मानस को गाते थे वो जगह थी अस्सीघाट। उनकी कथा को बहुत सारे भक्त सुनने आते थे। लेकिन एक बार गोस्वामी प्रातःकाल शौच करके आ रहे थे तो कोई एक प्रेत से इनका मिलन हुआ। उस प्रेत ने प्रसन्न होकर गोस्वामीजी को कहा कि मैं आपको कुछ देना चाहता हूँ। आपने जो शौच के बचे हुए जल से जो सींचन किया है मैं तृप्त हुआ हूँ। मैं आपको कुछ देना चाहता हूँ।

गोस्वामीजी बोले – भैया, हमारे मन तो केवल एक ही चाह है कि ठाकुर जी का दर्शन हमें हो जाए। राम की कथा तो हमने लिख दी है, गा दी है।पर दर्शन अभी तक साक्षात् नहीं हुआ है। ह्रदय में तो होता है पर साक्षात् नहीं होता। यदि दर्शन हो जाए तो बस बड़ी कृपा होगी।

उस प्रेत ने कहा कि महाराज! मैं यदि दर्शन करवा सकता तो मैं अब तक मुक्त न हो जाता? मैं खुद प्रेत योनि में पड़ा हुआ हूँ, अगर इतनी ताकत मुझमें होती कि मैं आपको दर्शन करवा देता तो मैं तो मुक्त हो गया होता अब तक।

तुलसीदास जी बोले – फिर भैया हमको कुछ नहीं चाहिए।

तो उस प्रेत ने कहा – सुनिए महाराज! मैं आपको दर्शन तो नहीं करवा सकता लेकिन दर्शन कैसे होंगे उसका रास्ता आपको बता सकता हूँ।

तुलसीदास जी बोले कि बताइये।

बोले आप जहाँ पर कथा कहते हो, बहुत सारे भक्त सुनने आते हैं, अब आपको तो मालूम नहीं लेकिन मैं जानता हूँ आपकी कथा में रोज हनुमानजी भी सुनने आते हैं। मुझे मालूम है हनुमानजी रोज आते हैं।

बोले कहाँ बैठते हैं?

बताया कि सबसे पीछे कम्बल ओढ़कर, एक दीन हीन एक कोढ़ी के स्वरूप में व्यक्ति बैठता है और जहाँ जूट चप्पल लोग उतारते हैं वहां पर बैठते हैं। उनके पैर पकड़ लेना वो हनुमान जी ही हैं।

गोस्वामीजी बड़े खुश हुए हैं। आज जब कथा हुई है गोस्वामीजी की नजर उसी व्यक्ति पर है कि वो कब आएंगे? और जैसे ही वो व्यक्ति आकर बैठे पीछे, तो गोस्वामीजी आज अपने आसन से कूद पड़े हैं और दौड़ पड़े। जाकर चरणों में गिर गए हैं।

वो व्यक्ति बोला कि महाराज आप व्यासपीठ पर हो और मेरे चरण पकड़ रहे हो। मैं एक दीन हीन कोढ़ी व्यक्ति हूँ। मुझे तो न कोई प्रणाम करता है और न कोई स्पर्श करता है। आप व्यासपीठ छोड़कर मुझे प्रणाम कर रहे हो?

गोस्वामीजी बोले कि महाराज आप सबसे छुप सकते हो मुझसे नहीं छुप सकते हो। अब आपके चरण मैं तब तक नहीं छोडूंगा जब तक आप राम से नहीं मिलवाओगे। जो ऐसा कहा तो हनुमानजी अपने दिव्य स्वरूप में प्रकट हो गए।

आज तुलसीदास जी ने कहा कि कृपा करके मुझे राम से मिलवा दो। अब और कोई अभिलाषा नहीं बची। राम जी का साक्षात्कार हो जाए हनुमानजी, आप तो राम जी से मिलवा सकते हो। अगर आप नहीं मिलवाओगे तो कौन मिलवायेगा?

हनुमानजी बोले कि आपको रामजी जरूर मिलेंगे और मैं मिलवाऊँगा लेकिन उसके लिए आपको चित्रकूट चलना पड़ेगा, वहाँ आपको भगवन मिलेंगे।

गोस्वामीजी चित्रकूट गए हैं। मन्दाकिनी जी में स्नान किया, कामदगिरि की परिकम्मा लगाई। अब घूम रहे हैं कहाँ मिलेंगे? कहाँ मिलेंगे?
सामने से घोड़े पर सवार होकर दो सुकुमार राजकुमार आये। एक गौर वर्ण और एक श्याम वर्ण और गोस्वमीजी इधर से निकल रहे हैं।
उन्होंने पूछा कि हमको रास्ता बता तो हम भटक रहे हैं।

गोस्वामीजी ने रास्ता बताया कि बेटा इधर से निकल जाओ और वो निकल गए। अब गोस्वामीजी पागलों की तरह खोजते हुए घूम रहे हैं कब मिलेंगे? कब मिलेंगे?

हनुमानजी प्रकट हुए और बोले कि मिले?
गोस्वामीजी बोले – कहाँ मिले?

हनुमानजी ने सिर पकड़ लिया और बोले अरे अभी मिले तो थे। जो घोड़े पर सवार राजकुमार थे वो ही तो थे। आपसे ही तो रास्ता पूछा और कहते हो मिले नहीं। चूक गए और ये गलती हम सब करते हैं। न जाने कितनी बार भगवान हमारे सामने आये होंगे और हम पहचान नहीं पाए। कितनी बार वो सामने खड़े हो जाते हैं हम पहचान नहीं पाते। न जाने वो किस रूप में आ जाये।

सबका कर आदर समान जो तेरे घर आये
क्योंकि न जाने किस रूप में नारायण मिल जाये।

गोस्वामीजी कहते हैं हनुमानजी आज बहुत बड़ी गलती हो गई। फिर कृपा करवाओ। फिर मिलवाओ।

हनुमानजी बोले कि थोड़ा धैर्य रखो। एक बार और फिर मिलेंगे। गोस्वामीजी बैठे हैं। मन्दाकिनी के तट पर स्नान करके बैठे हैं। स्नान करके घाट पर चन्दन घिस रहे हैं। मगन हैं और गा रहे हैं। श्री राम जय राम जय जय राम। ह्रदय में एक ही लग्न है कि भगवान कब आएंगे। और ठाकुर जी एक बार फिर से कृपा करते हैं। ठाकुर जी आ गए और कहते हैं बाबा.. बाबा… चन्दन तो आपने बहुत प्यारा घिसा है। थोड़ा सा चन्दन हमें दे दो… लगा दो।

गोस्वामीजी को लगा कि कोई बालक होगा। चन्दन घिसते देखा तो आ गया। तो तुरंत लेकर चन्दन ठाकुर जी को दिया और ठाकुर जी लगाने लगे, हनुमानजी महाराज समझ गए कि आज बाबा फिर चूके जा रहे हैं। आज ठाकुर जी फिर से इनके हाथ से निकल रहे हैं। हनुमानजी तोता बनकर आ गए शुक रूप में और घोषणा कर दी कि

चित्रकूट के घाट पर, भई संतन की भीर।
तुलसीदास चंदन घिसे, तिलक देत रघुवीर।
हनुमानजी ने घोसणा कर दी कि अब मत चूक जाना। आज जो आपसे चन्दन ग्रहण कर रहे हैं ये साक्षात् रघुनाथ हैं और जो ये वाणी गोस्वामीजी के कान में पड़ी तो गोस्वामीजी चरणों में गिर गए ठाकुर जी तो चन्दन लगा रहे थे। बोले प्रभु अब आपको नहीं छोडूंगा। जैसे ही पहचाना तो प्रभु अपने दिव्य स्वरूप में प्रकट हो गए हैं और बस वो झलक ठाकुर जी को दिखाई दी है। ठाकुर जी अंतर्ध्यान हो गए और वो झलक आखों में बस गई ह्रदय तक उतरकर। फिर कोई अभिलाषा जीवन में नहीं रही है। परम शांति। परम आनंद जीवन में आ गया ठाकुर जी के मिलने से।

आराम की तलब है तो एक काम करले
आ राम की शरण में और राम राम करले।

और इस तरह से आज तुलसीदास जी का राम से मिलन हनुमानजी ने करवाया है। जय सियाराम!!

“नगरी हो अयोध्या सी, रघुकुल सा घराना हो,
चरण हो राघव के, जहां मेरा ठिकाना हो”

गंगा बड़ी, न गोदावरी, न तीर्थ बड़े प्रयाग।
सकल तीर्थ का पुण्य वहीं, जहाँ हदय राम का वास।।

There was a place in Kashi where Tulsidas used to sing Ramcharit Manas daily, that place was Assighat. Many devotees used to come to listen to his story. But once when Goswami was coming after defecation in the morning, he met a ghost. That ghost became happy and told Goswamiji that I want to give you something. I am satisfied with the irrigation done by you with the leftover toilet water. I want to give you something.

Goswamiji said – Brother, we have only one desire in our mind that we should have the darshan of Thakur ji. We have written and sung the story of Ram, but have not yet seen him. It is there in the heart but not visible. It would be a great blessing if we get darshan.

That ghost said, Maharaj! If I could have got darshan, wouldn’t I have been free by now? I myself am in a ghostly state, if I had the strength to allow you to see me, I would have been free by now.

Tulsidas ji said – Then brother, we do not want anything.

So that ghost said – Listen Maharaj! I cannot make you have darshan but I can tell you the way to get darshan.

Tulsidas ji said, tell me.

He said, wherever you tell the story, many devotees come to listen to it, now you don’t know but I know that Hanumanji also comes to listen to your story every day. I know Hanumanji comes daily.

He said where do you sit?

Told that at the back, covered with a blanket, a destitute person sits in the form of a leper and sits where people take off their jute slippers. Holding his feet, it is Hanuman ji.

Goswamiji is very happy. Today when the story has happened, Goswamiji’s eyes are on that person, when will he come? And as soon as that person came and sat behind, Goswamiji jumped from his seat and ran. He went and fell at his feet.

The person said, Maharaj, you are on the pulpit and holding my feet. I am a destitute leper. Neither does anyone salute me nor does anyone touch me. Are you leaving the pulpit and saluting me?

Goswamiji said, Maharaj, you can hide from everyone but you cannot hide from me. Now I will not leave your feet until you introduce me to Ram. Whoever said this, Hanumanji appeared in his divine form.

Today Tulsidas ji said please introduce me to Ram. There is no more desire left. Hanumanji, you can meet Ram ji, you can introduce him to Ram ji. If you don’t get it done then who will get it done?

Hanumanji said that you will definitely meet Ramji and I will make you meet him but for that you will have to go to Chitrakoot, there you will meet God.

Goswamiji has gone to Chitrakoot. Took bath in Mandakini ji and circumambulated Kamadgiri. Now roaming where will we meet? Where will we meet? Two handsome princes came from the front riding on horses. One of fair complexion and one of dark complexion and Goswamiji are passing from here. He asked that if you show us the way then we are getting lost.

Goswamiji told him to leave from here son and he left. Now Goswamiji is roaming around searching like a madman, when will we meet him? When will we meet?

Hanumanji appeared and asked whether he should be found? Goswamiji asked – Where did you find him?

Hanumanji held his head and said, we had just met. He was the one who was the prince riding on the horse. I asked the way from you and you said that I did not meet you. We missed it and we all make this mistake. Don’t know how many times God might have appeared in front of us and we could not recognize him. We don’t recognize how many times they stand in front of us. Don’t know in what form he will come.

Treat everyone who comes to your house with equal respect. Because who knows in what form Narayan will be found.

Goswamiji says Hanumanji, a big mistake has been made today. Then please do it. Meet again.

Hanumanji said to have some patience. See you once more. Goswamiji is sitting. Sitting after taking bath on the banks of Mandakini. After taking bath, sandalwood is being rubbed on the ghat. Are happy and singing. Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram. There is only one desire in the heart that when will God come. And Thakur ji blesses once again. Thakur ji comes and says Baba… Baba… You have rubbed the sandalwood very nicely. Give us some sandalwood… apply it.

Goswamiji thought that it must be a child. When he saw the sandalwood being rubbed, he came. So he immediately took the sandalwood and gave it to Thakur ji and Thakur ji started applying it. Hanumanji Maharaj understood that Baba was being missed again today. Today Thakur ji is again out of his hands. Hanumanji came in the form of a parrot and announced that

On the ghat of Chitrakoot, brother, there is a rush of children. Tulsidas rubbed sandalwood, Raghuveer gave tilak. Hanumanji announced that now don’t miss it. The one who is accepting sandalwood from you today is Raghunath in person and when these words reached Goswamiji’s ears, Goswamiji fell at his feet. Thakurji was applying sandalwood. Said Lord, I will not leave you now. As soon as he was recognized, God appeared in his divine form and only that glimpse was visible to Thakur ji. Thakur ji disappeared and that glimpse settled in his eyes and reached his heart. Then there is no desire in life. Absolute peace. Ultimate joy came into my life after meeting Thakur ji.

If you need rest then do one thing Come in the shelter of Ram and chant Ram Ram.

And in this way today Hanumanji has made Tulsidas ji meet Ram. Hail Siya Ram!!
