।। श्री कृष्णाय वयं नमः ।।
अर्जुन को भगवान श्री हरि कृष्ण अपने विराट विश्वरूप का दर्शन कराते हुए कहते हैं-
हे अर्जुन ! मैं ही सत्य हूं, मैं ही संपूर्ण हूं, मैं ही जीव हूं, मैं ही शिव हूं, अस्तो में आकर, वेदों में सामवेद, देवों में इन्द्र हूं, प्राणियों में चेतना, यक्षों में कुबेर, रूद्रों में शंकर हूं। ऋषियों में भृगु हूं और ध्वनियों में ॐकार हूं, वसवो में अग्नि, पर्वतों में सुमेरू हूं, यज्ञों में जाप, वृक्षों में पवित्र पीपल हूं।
बुद्धि में स्मृति, मेधा, धृति और क्षमा भी मैं ही हूं, कीर्ति भी हूं, कीर्तिमान भी हूं, गंधर्व में चित्ररथ, देवर्षियों में नारद और मुनियों में कपिल हूं। हाथियों में ऐरावत और पशुओं में सिंह हूं, पक्षियों में गरुड़ और मनुष्यों में राजा, शस्त्रों में वज्र हूं मैं, वज्र का मैं ही प्रहार हूं।
गायों में कामधेनु, नागों मे वासुकी और शेषनाग हूं, यमराज, वरूण देव और वायु भी मैं हूं, सृष्टि में आदि, मध्य और अंत भी मैं ही हूं। मैं ही श्री राम और पवित्र गंगा हूं, ब्रह्म ज्ञान महाकाल और ब्रह्मा भी मैं ही हूं।
प्रभाव, विजय, सत्त्व, निश्चय, दंड, भक्ति, मौन, नीति तथा तत्वज्ञान भी मैं ही हूं। वासुदेव, अर्जुन, वेदव्यास ऐसा कुछ नहीं जो मैं नहीं हूं। ऐसा कोई थल नहीं जहां मैं नहीं हूं। मैं ही समय और मैं ही जीवन- मृत्यु हूं !

While giving Arjun the darshan of his vast universal form, Lord Shri Hari Krishna says-
Hey Arjun! I am the truth, I am complete, I am the living being, I am Shiva, having come in the Astos, I am the Samaveda among the Vedas, I am Indra among the Gods, I am Chetna among the living beings, I am Kuber among the Yakshas, and Shankar among the Rudras. Among sages I am Bhrigu and among sounds I am Omkar, among Vasavo I am Agni, among mountains I am Sumeru, among yagyas I am Jaap, among trees I am sacred Peepal.
I am the memory, intelligence, perseverance and forgiveness in the intellect, I am the fame, I am the record holder, I am the Chitrarath among the Gandharvas, Narad among the Devarshis and Kapil among the sages. I am Airavata among elephants and lion among animals, Garuda among birds and king among humans, I am the thunderbolt among weapons, I am the strike of the thunderbolt.
Among the cows I am Kamdhenu, among the snakes I am Vasuki and Sheshnag, I am Yamraj, Varun Dev and Vayu, I am the beginning, middle and end of the universe. I am Shri Ram and the holy Ganga, I am Brahma Gyan Mahakaal and Brahma is also me.
I am also influence, victory, truth, determination, punishment, devotion, silence, policy and philosophy. Vasudev, Arjuna, Vedvyas, there is nothing that I am not. There is no place where I am not. I am time and I am life and death!
