हिंदू धर्म में चार धाम यात्रा का अपना एक विशेष महत्व है। इनमें गंगोत्री, यमुनोत्री, केदारनाथ और बद्रीनाथ धाम शामिल हैं। इस अलौकिक धाम की यात्रा देश का हर हिंदू करना चाहता है। भगवान बद्रीनाथ का मंदिर हिमालय पर्वत की श्रेणी में अलकनंदा नदी के तट पर स्थित है। क़रीब 3133 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर बने इस मंदिर का इतिहास काफ़ी पुराना है। इसके बारे में कई अलौकिक कथाएं भी प्रचलित हैं। नर और नारायण पहाड़ों के बीच कस्तूरी शैली में बना यह मंदिर मुख्य रूप से भगवान विष्णु का मंदिर है। यहां नर और नारायण की पूजा की जाती है। यहां भगवान विग्रह रूप में विराजमान हैं। मंदिर तीन भागों में विभाजित है।
गर्भगृह, दर्शन मंडप और सभामंडप का तापमान हमेशा 9 से 10 डिग्री सेल्सियस रहता है। लेकिन यहां उपस्थित तप्त कुंड का तापमान औसतन 54 डिग्री सेल्सियस रहता है। यह अपने आप में एक चमत्कार है कि जो मंदिर चारों ओर से बर्फ़ की ढकी पहड़ियों से घिरा हो, जहां नल का पानी भी जम जाता हो, वहां इस तप्त कुंड में इतना गर्म पानी कैसे रह सकता है? आइए जानें इस चमत्कारी तप्त कुंड का रहस्य…
तप्त कुंड
कहते हैं कि बद्रीनाथ धाम में गर्म पानी के कुंड में स्नान करने से शरीर संबंधित सभी प्रकार के चर्म रोगों से मुक्ति मिलती है। आश्चर्य की बात तो यह है कि बाहर से छूने पर कुंड का पानी काफ़ी गर्म लगता है। लेकिन नहाते समय कुंड का पानी शरीर के तापमान जितना ही हो जाता है। तप्त कुंड की मुख्य धारा को दो भागों में बांट कर यहां महिलाओं और पुरुषों के लिए अलग-अलग स्नान कुंड बनाया गया है। माना जाता है कि नीलकण्ठ की पहाड़ियों से इस पानी का उद्गम है। कहते हैं कि भगवान बद्रीनाथ ने यहां तप किया था। वही पवित्र स्थल आज तप्त कुंड के नाम से विश्व विख्यात है।
मान्यता है कि तप के रूप में ही आज भी इस कुंड में गर्म पानी रहता है। मान्यता यह भी है कि इस तप्त कुंड में साक्षात सूर्य देव विराजते हैं। वहाँ के पुरोहित बताते हैं कि सूर्य देव को भक्षा-भक्षी की हत्या का पाप लगा था। तब भगवान नारायण के कहने पर सूर्य देव, बद्रीनाथ आये और तप किया। तब से सूर्य देव को भगवान ने जल रूप में विचलित किया। जिसमें स्नान कर लोगों को अपनी शरीर सम्बंधी सभी समस्याओं से मुक्ति मिल जाती है और साथ ही भगवान के दर्शन कर वो अपने पापों से मुक्ति भी पाते हैं।
मंदिर से महज़ चार किलोमीटर की दूरी पर बसा है ‘माना गाँव।’ कहते हैं इसी गांव से ‘धरती का स्वर्ग’ निकलता है। लोगों का यह भी कहना है कि यहाँ आने से पैसों से सम्बंधित सभी परेशानियों से छुटकारा मिल जाता है। यहां मौजूद गणेश गुफा, भीम पुल और व्यास गुफा अपने आप में कई पौराणिक कथाओं को समेटे हुए हैं। कहते हैं कि तप्त कुंड के पानी में स्नान करने से भक्तों को उनके पापों से छुटकारा ही नहीं मिलता बल्कि उन्हें कई रोगों से मुक्ति भी मिल जाती है। इसीलिए कहा जाता है कि ‘बदरी सदृशं तीर्थ, न भूतं न भविष्यति’

hot tub It is said that by taking a bath in the hot water pool in Badrinath Dham, one can get rid of all kinds of skin diseases related to the body. The surprising thing is that the water of the kund feels very hot when touched from outside. But while taking a bath, the water in the pool becomes as much as the body temperature. By dividing the main stream of Tapt Kund into two parts, separate bathing pools for men and women have been made here. It is believed that the origin of this water is from the hills of Neelkanth. It is said that Lord Badrinath did penance here. The same holy place is today world famous by the name of Tapt Kund.
It is believed that hot water remains in this kund even today in the form of penance. It is also believed that the sun god actually resides in this hot pool. The priests there say that Surya Dev had committed the sin of killing the eater. Then at the behest of Lord Narayan, Surya Dev came to Badrinath and did penance. Since then the Lord distracted the Sun God in the form of water. By taking bath in which people get freedom from all the problems related to their body and at the same time they get freedom from their sins by seeing God.
‘Mana Gaon’ is situated just four kilometers away from the temple. It is said that ‘Heaven on Earth’ emerges from this village. People also say that by coming here one gets rid of all the problems related to money. The Ganesh Gufa, Bhim Pul and Vyas Gufa present here contain many mythological stories in themselves. It is said that by taking bath in the water of Tapt Kund, the devotees not only get rid of their sins but also get rid of many diseases. That is why it is said that ‘Badri like pilgrimage, neither past nor future’.
