सिर के ऊपरी भाग को ब्रह्मांड कहा गया है और सामने के भाग को #कपालप्रदेश। कपाल प्रदेश का विस्तार ब्रह्मांड के आधे भाग तक है। दोनों की सीमा पर मुख्य मस्तिष्क की स्थिति समझनी चाहिए।
ब्रह्मांड का जो केन्द्रबिन्दु है, उसे ब्रह्मरंध्र कहते हैं। ब्रह्मरंध्र में सुई की नोंक के बराबर एक छिद्र है जो अति महत्वपूर्ण है। सारी अनुभूतियां, दैवी जगत् के विचार, ब्रह्मांड में क्रियाशक्ति और अनन्त शक्तियां इसी ब्रह्मरंध्र से प्रविष्ट होती हैं।
#सनातनधर्म में इसी स्थान पर #चोटी (शिखा) रखने का नियम है। ब्रह्मरंध्र से निष्कासित होने वाली ऊर्जा शिखा के माध्यम से प्रवाहित होती है। वास्तव में हमारी शिखा जहां एक ओर ऊर्जा को प्रवाहित करती है, वहीं दूसरी ओर उसे ग्रहण भी करती है। वायुमंडल में बिखरी हुई असंख्य विचार तरंगें और भाव तरंगें शिखा के माध्यम से ही मनुष्य के मस्तिष्क में प्रविष्ट होती हैं। कहने की आवश्यकता नहीं, हमारा मस्तिष्क एक प्रकार से रिसीविंग और ब्रॉडकास्टिंग सेंटर का कार्य शिखारूपी एंटीना या एरियल के माध्यम से करता है। मुख्य मस्तिष्क (सेरिब्रम) के बाद लघु मस्तिष्क (सेरिबेलम) है और ब्रह्मरंध्र के ठीक नीचे अधो मस्तिष्क (मेडुला एबलोंगेटा) की स्थिति है जिसके साथ एक ‘मेडुला’ नामक अंडाकार पदार्थ संयुक्त है। वह मस्तिष्क के भीतर विद्यमान एक तरल पदार्थ में तैरता रहता है। मेरूमज्जा का अन्त इसी अंडाकार पदार्थ में होता है। यह पदार्थ अत्यन्त रहस्यमय है। आज के वैज्ञानिक भी इसे समझ नहीं सके हैं। बाहर से आने वाली परिदृश्यमान शक्तियां अधो मस्तिष्क से होकर इसी अंडाकार पदार्थ से टकराती हैं और योग्यता अनुसार मानवीय विचारों, भावनाओं, अनुभूतियों में स्वतः परिवर्तित होकर बिखर जाती हैं।
योगसाधना की दृष्टि से मुख्य मस्तिष्क आकाश है। मनुष्य जो कुछ देखता है, कल्पना करता है, स्वप्न देखता है, यह सारा अनुभव उसको इसी आकाश में करना पड़ता है।
The upper part of the head has been called the universe and the front part #Kapalpradesh. The region of the skull extends up to half of the universe. The condition of the main brain should be understood at the border of both. The center point of the universe is called Brahmarandhra. There is a hole equal to the tip of a needle in Brahmarandhra which is very important. All the experiences, the thoughts of the divine world, the action force and the infinite powers in the universe enter through this Brahmarandhra. In #SanatanDharma, there is a rule to keep #Choti (Shikha) at this place. The energy that is expelled from the orifice flows through the crest. In fact, where on one hand our crest transmits energy, on the other hand it also receives it. Innumerable thought waves and emotional waves scattered in the atmosphere enter the human brain only through the crest. Needless to say, our brain acts as a kind of receiving and broadcasting center through a crest-like antenna or aerial. The main brain (cerebrum) is followed by the small brain (cerebellum) and just below the brahmandhra lies the inferior brain (medulla oblongata) with which an oval substance called ‘medulla’ is combined. It floats in a fluid present inside the brain. The end of the spinal cord is in this oval substance. This substance is very mysterious. Even today’s scientists have not been able to understand it. The perspective powers coming from outside collide with this oval substance through the lower brain and automatically transform into human thoughts, emotions, feelings and get scattered according to their ability. From the point of view of yoga practice, the main brain is the sky. Whatever man sees, imagines, dreams, he has to experience all this in this sky.
