बात उस समय की है जब श्री तपासेजी उत्तरप्रदेश के राज्यपाल थे | श्री तपासे जी बाबा का दर्शन करने लाररोड पहुँचे | उन्होंने बाबा के कहा कि वर्षा बिलकुल नहीं हुई है, लोग बेहाल हैं | सूखे से जनता की रक्षा कीजिये, बाबा | जलवृष्टि करवाइए |
बाबा ने श्री तपासे जी की ओर मुस्कुराते हुए देखा और उन्हें बहुत सी विलक्षण बातें बतायीं | साथ ही बाबा ने इस बात पर प्रसन्नता भी व्यक्त करी कि एक नेता ऐसा मिला जिसने अपने लिये कुछ नहीं माँगा अपितु पूरी जनता के कल्याण के लिये कुछ माँगा | बाबा जब प्रसन्न होते थे तब प्रसाद की वर्षा कर देते थे | बाबा ने इन्हें इतना फलों का प्रसाद दिया कि एक गठरी हो गयी | फिर जब इन्होंने बाबा से आज्ञा माँगी तो सुरक्षा अधिकारी प्रसाद की गठरी उठाने लगा | इन्होंने तुरंत उसे मना किया और गठरी खुद उठाकर पैदल ही वहाँ से चलने लगे |
श्रीबाबा ने जोर से ताली बजाई और हँसते हुए कहा कि देखो किसान का बेटा जा रहा है | बाबा ने श्रीतपासे जी की प्रार्थना सुन ली | तुरंत बादल घिरने लगे और ज़ोरों की वर्षा हुई | श्री तपासे जी १४ सितम्बर, १९७९ को बाबा के दर्शन करने गए थे और यह सारा वृतांत १६ सितम्बर, १९७९ को ‘दैनिक जागरण’ में छपा था |
अपने मन में हमें लोगों के कल्याण की भावना रखनी चाहिए | ऐसी भावना संतों की कृपा हम पर करा देगी | हम दूसरों का कल्याण चाहेंगे तो स्वयं हमारा कल्याण होगा या यूँ कहें कि तभी हमारा कल्याण होगा | साथ ही हम जब संतों के दर्शन करने जाएँ तो अपने अहंकार को छोड़कर जाना चाहिए | श्री तपासे जी ने राज्यपाल होते हुए जो किया वो दिखाता है कि ये ममता और अहंता छोड़ कर संत के पास गए थे और यही तो ‘तप’ है, यही तो ‘यज्ञ’ है | इसी में कल्याण निहित है |
श्री तपासे जी ने लिखा है – “आध्यात्मिकता ही मानव जाति की प्रमुख संरक्षक रही है और उसका ह्रास होने के साथ ही समाज में भीषण अंतर्विरोध, हिंसा तथा स्वार्थ का ताण्डव उपस्थित हो जाता है | आज का जन जीवन अगर दुखी है तो उसका मूल कारण आध्यात्मिकता का ह्रास होना है | देवराहा बाबा आज आध्यात्मिक शक्ति के ज्वलंत प्रतीक हैं |”
It is about the time when Shri Tapaseji was the Governor of Uttar Pradesh. Shri Tapase ji reached Larrod to visit Baba. He told Baba that there was no rain at all, people were in a state of distress. Protect the public from drought, Baba. Make it rain
Baba smiled at Shri Tapase ji and told him many wonderful things. Along with this, Baba also expressed happiness that such a leader was found who did not ask for anything for himself, but asked for something for the welfare of the entire public. When Baba was pleased, he used to shower prasad. Baba gave him so many fruits as prasad that it became a bundle. Then when he asked permission from Baba, the security officer started lifting the bundle of prasad. He immediately refused him and picked up the bundle himself and started walking from there.
Shri Baba clapped loudly and said laughing that look the farmer’s son is going. Baba listened to Shritapase ji’s prayer. Immediately the clouds started gathering and it rained heavily. Shri Tapase ji had gone to see Baba on 14th September, 1979 and this whole story was published in ‘Dainik Jagran’ on 16th September, 1979.
We should keep the feeling of welfare of the people in our mind. Such a feeling will bestow the blessings of the saints upon us. If we wish for the welfare of others, then our own welfare will happen or should we say that only then will our welfare happen. Along with this, when we go to see the saints, we should leave our ego behind. What Mr. Tapase ji did while being the governor shows that he went to the saint leaving affection and ego and this is ‘Tapa’, this is ‘Yagya’. In this lies welfare.
Mr. Tapase ji has written – “Spirituality has been the main protector of mankind and with its decline, fierce contradictions, violence and selfishness are present in the society. If today’s public life is unhappy, then its root cause is the decline of spirituality. Devraha Baba is the shining symbol of spiritual power today.
