विष्णुदूतों द्वारा भागवतधर्म – निरूपण और
अजामिल का परमधामगमन
श्रीशुकदेवजी कहते हैं – परीक्षित ! भगवान् के नितिनिपुण एवं धर्म का मर्म जानने वाले पार्षदों ने यमदूतों का यह अभिभाषण सुनकर उनसे इस प्रकार कहा – ||१||
भगवान् के पार्षदों ने कहा – यमदूतो ! यह बड़े आश्चर्य और खेद की बात है कि धर्मज्ञों की सभा में अधर्म प्रवेश कर रहा है; क्योंकि वहाँ निरपराध और अदंडनीय व्यक्तियों को व्यर्थ ही दण्ड दिया जाता है ||२|| जो प्रजा के रक्षक हैं, शासक हैं, समदर्शी और परोपकारी हैं – यदि वे ही प्रजा के प्रति विषमता का व्यवहार करने लगें तो फिर प्रजा किसकी शरण लेगी ? ||३|| सत्पुरुष जैसा आचरण करते हैं, साधारण लोग भी वैसा ही करते हैं | वे अपने आचरण के द्वारा जिस कर्म को धर्मानुकुल प्रमाणित कर देते हैं, लोग उसी का अनुकरण करने लगते हैं ||४|| साधारण लोग पशुओं के समान धर्म और अधर्म का स्वरूप न जानकर किसी सत्पुरुष पर विश्वास कर लेते हैं, उसकी गोद में सिर रखकर निर्भय और निश्चिन्त सो जाते हैं ||५|| वही दयालु सत्पुरुष, जो प्राणियों का अत्यन्त विश्वासपात्र है और जिसे मित्रभाव से अपना हितैषी समझकर उन्होंने आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया है, उस अज्ञानी जीवों के साथ कैसे विश्वासघात कर सकता है ? ||६||
यमदूतो ! इतने कोटि-कोटि जन्मों की पाप-राशि का पूरा-पूरा प्रायश्चित कर लिया है | क्योंकि इसने विवश होकर ही सही, भगवान् के परम कल्याणमय मोक्षप्रद नाम का उच्चारण तो किया है ||७|| जिस समय इसने ‘नारायण’ इन चार अक्षरों का उच्चारण किया, उसी समय केवल उतने से ही इस पापी के समस्त पापों का प्रायश्चित हो गया ||८|| चोर,शराबी, मित्रद्रोही, ब्रह्मघाती, गुरुपत्नीगामी, ऐसे लोगों का संसर्गी, स्त्री, राजा, पिता और गाय को मारने वाला, चाहे जैसा और चाहे जितना बड़ा पापी हो, सभी के लिये यही-इतना ही सबसे बड़ा प्रायश्चित है कि भगवान् के नामों का उच्चारण किया जाय; क्योंकि भगवन्नामों के उच्चारण से मनुष्य की बुध्दि भगवान् के गुण, लीला और स्वरूप में रम जाती है और स्वयं भगवान् की उसके प्रति आत्मीय बुध्दि हो जाती है ||९-१०||

It is a matter of great wonder and regret that iniquity is entering the assembly of the sages; Because there innocent and punishable people are punished in vain ||2|| Those who are protectors, rulers, sympathetic and benevolent – if they start behaving unequally towards the people, then whose refuge will the people take? ||3|| Ordinary people also do the same way as a good man behaves. People start imitating the work which they prove to be righteous by their conduct ||4|| Ordinary people, like animals, without knowing the nature of religion and unrighteousness, believe in a true person, keeping their head in his lap, they fall asleep fearlessly and restlessly ||5|| How can the same merciful Satpurush, who is the most trusted of living beings and whom he has surrendered with a friendly attitude as his benefactor, how can that ignorant living beings be betrayed? ||6|| eunuchs! He has completely atone for the sin amount of so many births. Because it has been compelled to pronounce the name of the supreme welfare and salvation, right?|7|| At the time when he uttered these four letters ‘Narayan’, at the same time all the sins of this sinner became atonement. Thieves, drunkards, anti-friends, brahmacharis, guru-wife-gamis, consorts of such people, women, kings, fathers and cow-killers, whoever and howsoever great a sinner may be, this is the greatest atonement for all, that in the name of the Lord. to be pronounced; Because by reciting the names of the Lord, one’s intellect gets absorbed in the qualities, pastimes and forms of the Lord, and the Lord Himself becomes intimate to Him ||9-10|| rest in upcoming posts.
