चतुर्भुजाय चन्द्राय विलसन्मस्तकाय च।

वक्रतुण्डाय वटवे वन्धाय वरदाय च।

मंगलं गणनाथाय मंगलं हरसूनवे।
मंगलं विघ्नराजाय विघ्न हत्रेंस्तु मंगलम।।८।।
श्लोकाष्टकमि पुण्यं मंगलप्रदमादरात।
पठितव्यं प्रयत्नेन सर्वविघ्ननिवृत्तये।।९।।

O Gajanana, O Ganges, O easy-going, all-pervading soul. May Gauri, my beloved son, be blessed by Ganesha.
O serpent sacrifice veil, destroyer of the bowed down. May Nandi and other hosts be blessed with Nayaka.
O like-faced, worshiped by the moon and others, O Self of consciousness. May the north-east be the vessel of love and the giver of action.
To the beautiful face and to the nectar pot thrown by the Sushunda grove. May the expenditure of the happy rind be auspicious for the giver of happiness.
O four-armed Moon with a beautiful head May you bow at your feet and be blessed with infinite salvation.
O curved-beaked banyan tree and bestower of boons Good luck to the daughter of Virupaksha for the destruction of obstacles.
O form of joy and delight, in the form of perfection and knowledge. May it be auspicious for the destruction of excellent sins and for the bestower of rewards.
Good luck to Ganesha and good luck to Harsoon. Good luck to the king of obstacles and good luck to the destroyer of obstacles.
The eighth verse is holy and auspicious with respect. It should be read with effort for the removal of all obstacles.
