श्री गणेशाय नमः।
श्रीकृष्ण उवाच।
किं ते नामसहस्रेण विज्ञातेन तवाऽर्जुन।
तानि नामानि विज्ञाय नरः पापैः प्रमुच्यते।।१।।
प्रथमं तु हरिं विन्द्याद् द्वितीयं केशवं तथा।
तृतीयं पद्मनाभं च चतुर्थं वामनं स्मरेत्।।२।।
पञ्चमं वेदगर्भं तु षष्ठं च मधुसूदनम्।
सप्तमं वासुदेवं च वराहं चाऽष्टमं तथा।।३।।
नवमं पुण्डरीकाक्षं दशमं तु जनार्दनम्।
कृष्णमेकादशं विन्द्याद् द्वादशं श्रीधरं तथा।।४।।
एतानि द्वादश नामानि विष्णुप्रोक्ते विधीयते।
सायं-प्रातः पठेन्नित्यं तस्य पुण्यफलं शृणु।।५।।
चान्द्रायण-सहस्राणि कन्यादानशतानि च।
अश्वमेधसहस्राणि फलं प्राप्नोत्यसंशयः।।६।।
अमायां पौर्णमास्यां च द्वादश्यां तु विशेषतः।
प्रातःकाले पठेन्नित्यं सर्वपापैः प्रमुच्यते।।७।।

SHRI GANESHAYA NAMAH.
Sri Krishna said. What is the use of your being known by a thousand names, O Arjuna? By knowing those names a man is freed from sins.
The first one should find Hari and the second Kesava. The third is Padmanabha and the fourth is Vamana.
The fifth is Vedagarbha, and the sixth is Madhusuda. The seventh Vasudeva and the eighth Varaha.
The ninth is Pundarika-aksha and the tenth is Janardana. One should find Krishna in the eleventh and Sridhar in the twelfth.
These twelve names are prescribed in the Vishnu-proclamation. He who recites it daily in the evening and morning hear the merits of it.
Thousands of lunar fasts and hundreds of bride donations. He undoubtedly obtains the fruits of thousands of horse sacrifices.
Especially on the twelfth day of the new moon and full moon One who recites it in the morning daily is freed from all sins.
