रँगी लोमड़ी
एक लोमड़ी खानेकी तलाशमें एक गाँवमें घुस गयी। वह एक रंगरेजके घरके पिछवाड़े में चली गयी, जहाँपर रंगसे भरे ड्रम रखे हुए थे। आवाज सुनकर रँगरेज पीछे आया, लोमड़ी डरकर इसमें घुस गयी। थोड़ी देर बाद जब वह बाहर आयी तो वह कुछ और ही थी। रँगरेजके रंगने उसका स्वरूप बदल दिया था लेकिन लोमड़ीको यह मालूम नहीं था। जब वह जंगलमे पहुँची, तो उसे देखते ही जानवरोंमें खलबली मच गयी उन्होंने ‘न जाने यह कौन सा प्राणी आ गया है। 1 बड़े-बड़े जानवर भी उससे घबराने लगे। जब रँग लोमड़ी कुछ दूर गयी तो देखा कि एक शेर अपन शिकार खा रहा था, लेकिन जैसे ही उसने इस विचिः प्राणीको देखा, वह भाग खड़ा हुआ। लोमड़ीको ते खाना मिल गया। कोई भी प्राणी इस नये जानवरके साथ
खतरा मोल लेना नहीं चाहता था। सभी उससे दूर लगे। लोमड़ीकी धाक जम गयी। वह जहाँ जाती, वहीं उसे खानेको मिल जाता ।
इस तरह कई दिन बीत गये। यही सिलसिला चलता रहा। एक दिन लोमड़ियोंका एक झुण्ड मस्तीसे झूमता हुआ वहाँसे गुजर रहा था । यकायक उन्होंने आवाज देना शुरू किया। रँगी लोमड़ी भी अपने आपको रोक नहीं पायी। उसने उनके स्वर-में-स्वर मिलाया। जंगलके जानवरोंको पता चल चुका था कि वह विचित्र प्राणी कोई और नहीं, लोमड़ी ही है। ‘बहुत दिन ठगा इसने’–यह कहकर वे उसपर टूट पड़े। रँगी लोमड़ीका काम तमाम हो गया।

colored fox
A fox entered a village in search of food. She went to the backyard of a dyer’s house, where drums full of dyes were kept. Hearing the sound, the ranger came back, the fox got scared and entered it. After a while when she came out she was something else. The color of the dyer had changed its appearance but the fox did not know this. When she reached the forest, on seeing her, there was panic among the animals, they did not know which animal has come. Even big animals started getting scared of him. When the red fox went some distance, he saw a lion eating its prey, but as soon as he saw this wild animal, he ran away. The fox got food. any animal with this new animal
Didn’t want to take the risk. Everyone started away from him. The fear of the fox froze. Wherever she went, she would get food there.
Like this many days passed. This cycle continued. One day a herd of foxes was passing by dancing happily. Suddenly he started making noises. Even the colored fox could not control itself. He matched their tone. The animals of the forest had come to know that that strange creature was none other than a fox. They lashed out at him by saying, ‘He cheated for many days’.
