जितना दीखता है, उतना तो आगे बढ़ो

एक सीधे-सादे किसानने पहले-पहल लालटेन जलाकर दो मील दूर किसी गाँवमें जानेके लिये यात्रा प्रारम्भ की, परंतु यह क्या? वह चार कदम चलते-न-चलते रुक गया।
किसी जानकार सज्जनने पूछा- क्यों भाई ? रुक क्यों गये?’ किसानने कहा-‘जाना है दो मील मार्ग दीखता है केवल दस गजतकका। कैसे पूरा पड़ेगा ?’
सज्जनने कहा- ‘जितना दीखता है, उतना तो आगे बढ़ो! फिर इतना ही और आगे दीखने लगेगा।’
उनकी बात मानकर किसान अपने लक्ष्यपर पहुँच गया।
आप अपने विवेकके प्रकाशमें जितना सत्य दीखता हो, आचरणमें लाओ, फिर परोक्ष सत्य भी प्रत्यक्ष हो जायेगा।

go as far as you can
A simple farmer first started the journey by lighting a lantern to go to a village two miles away, but what is this? He stopped after walking four steps.
Some knowledgeable gentleman asked – why brother? Why did you stop? The farmer said – ‘ I have to go two miles, the road is visible only ten yards. How will it be completed?
The gentleman said – ‘Progress as far as you can see! Then only this much will be seen further.
By listening to him the farmer reached his goal.
Whatever truth you see in the light of your discretion, put it into practice, then even the hidden truth will become visible.
