इसे तो फर्क पड़ेगा न !
एक झेनगुरु समुद्रतटपर टहल रहे थे। तभी जोरका तूफान आया और समुद्रकी लहरोंके साथ बहुत सी मछलियाँ तटपर आ आकर गिरने लगीं। गुरुजी स्वाभाविक करुणासे एक-एक मछलीको उठाकर समुद्रमें वापस फेंकने लगे। उधरसे गुजरते हुए एक मछुआरेने गुरुजीकी यह कार्यवाही देखकर उन्हें समझानेकी कोशिश की— इस तरहके तूफानमें अनगिनत मछलियाँ समुद्रतटपर हर बार गिरकर मर जाती हैं। इन्हें इस प्रकार वापस नहीं फेंका जा सकता। इस मेहनतसे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ेगा।
बड़े शान्तभावसे एक मछलीको उठाकर वापस समुद्र में फेंकते हुए झेनगुरु बोले- ‘इसको तो फर्क पड़ेगा न ?’

It will make a difference, will it not?
A Zenguru was walking on the beach. Just then a strong storm came and many fish started falling on the shore along with the waves of the sea. Guruji out of natural compassion started picking up each fish and throwing it back into the sea. A fisherman passing by saw this action of Guruji and tried to explain to him – innumerable fish die every time they fall on the beach in such a storm. They cannot be thrown back like this. This hard work will not make any difference.
Very calmly picking up a fish and throwing it back into the sea, Zenguru said – ‘It will make a difference, won’t it?’
