सत्कर्मपर आस्था बनाये रखिये
रामगंगा नदीके तटपर एक शिवमन्दिर था। उसमें एक पण्डित और एक चोर रोज आते थे। पण्डितजी शिवलिंगपर दूध, फल-फूल चढ़ाकर पूजा-पाठ करते थे, जबकि चोर शिवभगवान्को खरी-खोटी सुनाकर अपने भाग्यको कोसता था।
एक दिन पण्डितजी और चोर संयोगसे साथ साथ मन्दिरसे बाहर निकल रहे थे। तभी अचानक चोरको द्वारपर ही सोनेकी स्वर्णमुद्राओंसे भरी थैली मिली और पण्डितजीके पैरमें उसी समय लोहेकी एक कील घुस गयी। स्वर्णमुद्राओंके मिलनेसे जहाँ
चोर खूब प्रसन्न हो रहा था, वहीं कील गड़ने से पण्डितजीको बहुत कष्ट हो रहा था। लेकिन सबसे ज्यादा कष्ट और आश्चर्य पण्डितजीको भगवान्के इस अन्यायसे था कि मेरे पूजा-पाठके बदलेमें मुझे कष्ट मिल रहा है और इस चोरको अपने कुकर्मोंका मीठा फल मिल रहा है।
तब भगवान् शिव प्रकट हुए और बोले ‘पण्डितजी! आजके दिन आपको फाँसी होनेवाली थी, लेकिन आपके द्वारा की गयी पूजा-आराधनाके कारण वह सजा घटकर महज एक कील गढ़नेतक सीमित हो गयी। जबकि इस चोरका आज राजतिलक होना था, लेकिन इसके कुकर्मोके कारण वह पुरस्कार घटकर कुछ स्वर्णमुद्राओंतक सीमित हो गया। अतः रोनेकी बजाय सन्तोषपूर्वक अपने सत्कर्मोपर बनाये रखिये। भाग्य कर्मोंसे ही बनता और बदलता है।
keep faith in good deeds
There was a Shiva temple on the banks of the Ramganga river. A scholar and a thief used to come in it everyday. Panditji used to worship Shivling by offering milk, fruits and flowers, while the thief used to curse his fate by telling lies to Lord Shiva.
One day Panditji and the thief happened to be coming out of the temple together. Then suddenly the thief found a bag full of gold coins at the door itself and at the same time an iron nail entered Panditji’s leg. where gold coins were found
The thief was very happy, whereas Panditji was suffering a lot due to the hammering of the nail. But Panditji was most pained and surprised by this injustice of God that in return of my worship, I am suffering and this thief is getting the sweet fruit of his misdeeds.
Then Lord Shiva appeared and said ‘Panditji! Today you were going to be hanged, but due to the worship done by you, that punishment was reduced to just making a nail. While this thief was to be crowned today, but due to his misdeeds, that reward was reduced to a few gold coins. So, instead of crying, maintain your good deeds with satisfaction. Luck is created and changed by actions.
