क्षणिक जीवन

महात्मा नूहको दीर्घायु मिली थी ! पूरे एक हजार वर्षतक वे जीवित रहे, अन्तमें उनका शरीर छूटा और वे स्वर्ग गये। वहाँ देवताओंने पूछा-‘संसारमें इतनी बड़ी आयु तुम्हें कैसी प्रतीत हुई?’हजरत नूह बोले- ‘इतनी आयुतक जीवित रहना मुझे तो ऐसा ही लगा जैसे कोई सरायके एक द्वारसे प्रवेश करके वहाँ रुके बिना दूसरे द्वारसे बाहर आ जाय।’

Mahatma Noah had got longevity! He lived for a thousand years, at last he left his body and went to heaven. There the gods asked – ‘How did you find such a long life in the world?’ Hazrat Noah said – ‘Living to such an age seemed to me as if someone enters from one door of an inn and comes out from the other door without stopping there.’
