भक्त के लिए ईश्वर का उपहार

ईश्वर अपने हर भक्त को एक प्यार भरी जिम्मेदारी सौंपता है और कहता है इसे हमेशा सम्भाल का रखा जाय। लापरवाही से इधर-उधर न फेंका जाय। भक्तों में से हर एक को मिलने वाली इस अनुकम्पा का नाम है- दुःख। भक्तों को अपनी सच्चाई इसी कसौटी पर खरी साबित करनी होती है।

दूसरे लोग जब जिस-तिस तरीके से पैसा इकट्ठा का लेते हैं और मौज-मजा उड़ाते हैं तब भक्त को अपनी ईमानदारी की रोटी पर गुजारा करना होता है। इस पर बहुत से लोग बेवकूफ बताते हैं न बनायेंगे तो भी उनकी औरों के मुकाबले तंगी की जिन्दगी अपने को अखरती, और यह सुनना पड़ता है कि भक्ति का बदला खुशहाली में क्यों नहीं मिला। यह परिस्थितियाँ सामने आती हैं। इसलिए भक्त को बहुत पहले से ही तंगी और कठिनाई में रहने का अभ्यास करना पड़ता है। जो इससे इनकार करता है उसकी भक्ति सच्ची नहीं हो सकती। जो सौंपी हुई अमानत की जिम्मेदारी सम्भालने से इन्कार करे उसकी सच्चाई पर सहज ही सन्देह होता है।

दुनिया में दुःखियारों की कमी नहीं। इनकी सहायता करने की जिम्मेदारी भगवान भक्त जनों को सौंपते हैं। पिछड़े हुए लोगों को ऊंचा उठाने का काम हर कोई नहीं सम्भाल सकता। इसके लिए भावनाशील और अनुभवी आदमी चाहिए। इतनी योग्यता सच्चे ईश्वर भक्तों में ही होती है। करुणावान के सिवाय और किसी के बस का यह काम नहीं कि दूसरों के कष्टों को अपने कन्धों पर उठाये और जो बोझ से लदे हैं उनको हलका करें। यह रीति-नीति अपनाने वाले को कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ता है।

ईश्वर का सबसे प्यारा बेटा है ‘‘दुःख’’। इसे सम्भाल कर रखने की जिम्मेदारी ईश्वर अपने भक्तों को ही सौंपता है। कष्ट को मजबूरी की तरह कई लोग सहते हैं। किन्तु ऐसे कम हैं जो इसे सुयोग मानते हैं और समझते हैं कि आत्मा की पवित्रता के लिए इसे अपनाया जाना आवश्यक है।

जो सम्पन्न हैं, जिन्हें वैभव का उपयोग करने की आदत है उन्हें भक्ति रस का आनन्द नहीं मिल सकता। उपयोग की तुलना में अनुदान कितना मूल्यवान और आनंददायक होता है, जिसे यह अनुभव हो गया वह देने की बात निरन्तर सोचता है। अपनी सम्पदा, प्रतिभा और सुविधा को किस काम में उपयोग करूं इस प्रश्न का भक्त के पास एक ही सुनिश्चित उत्तर रहता है दुर्बलों को समर्थ बनाने, पिछड़ों को बढ़ाने और गिरों को उठाने के लिए। इस प्रयोजन में अपनी विभूतियाँ खर्च करने के उपरान्त संतोष भी मिलता है और आनन्द भी होता है। यही है भगवान की भक्ति का प्रसाद जो ‘इस हाथ दे, उस हाथ ले’ के हिसाब से मिलता रहता है।

भक्त की परीक्षा पग-पग पर होती है। सच्चाई परखने के लिए और महानता बढ़ाने के लिए। खरे सोने की कसौटी पर कसने और आग पर तपाने में उस जौहरी को कोई एतराज नहीं होता जो खरा माल बेचने और खरा माल खरीदने का सौदा करता है। भक्त को इसी रास्ते से गुजरता पड़ता है। उसे दुःख प्यारे लगते हैं क्योंकि वे ईश्वर की धरोहर हैं और इसलिए मिलते हैं कि आनन्द, उल्लास, संतोष और उत्साह में क्षण भर के लिए भी कमी न आने पाये।

God entrusts a loving responsibility to every devotee and says that it should always be taken care of. Don’t throw it here and there carelessly. The name of this compassion that is given to each one of the devotees is-sorrow. Devotees have to prove their truth on this criterion.

When other people collect money in whatever way and enjoy themselves, then the devotee has to live on the bread of his honesty. On this, many people say that they are fools, even if they don’t make others, their life of poverty in comparison to others makes them miserable, and one has to ask why the reward of devotion was not found in prosperity. These situations come to the fore. That’s why a devotee has to practice living in poverty and hardship from a very early age. One who denies this, his devotion cannot be true. The one who refuses to handle the responsibility of the entrusted trust, his honesty is easily doubted.

There is no dearth of sorrows in the world. God entrusts the responsibility of helping them to the devotees. Not everyone can handle the task of uplifting the backward people. It requires a sensitive and experienced person. Only true devotees of God have this capability. Apart from the compassionate, it is not in the power of anyone else to take the sufferings of others on their shoulders and lighten those who are burdened. The one who adopts this custom has to face difficulties.

Sorrow is the dearest son of God. God entrusts the responsibility of taking care of it to his devotees only. Many people bear suffering like compulsion. But there are few who consider it auspicious and understand that it is necessary to adopt it for the purity of the soul.

Those who are rich, who have a habit of using wealth, they cannot get the pleasure of devotional service. The one who has experienced how valuable and enjoyable the gift is in comparison to the use, he constantly thinks about giving. The devotee has only one sure answer to the question of in which work I should use my wealth, talent and convenience to empower the weak, uplift the backward and uplift the fallen. After spending one’s wealth in this purpose, one gets satisfaction as well as joy. This is the prasad of God’s devotion which is given according to ‘give with this hand, take with that hand’.

A devotee is tested at every step. To test the truth and to increase greatness. The jeweler who deals in buying and selling genuine goods has no objection to testing pure gold and heating it on fire. The devotee has to pass through this path. Sorrows are dear to him because they are the heritage of God and he gets them so that there is no shortage of joy, gaiety, satisfaction and enthusiasm even for a moment.
