तुम्हारे ही लिये राम वन जा रहे हैं

माता सुमित्रा अपने पुत्र लक्ष्मणका श्रीरामजीकी सेवाके लिये वन जानेका विचार सुनकर अत्यन्त प्रमुदित हो गयीं। उन्होंने जो कुछ कहा, यह सर्वथा आदर तथा अनुकरणके योग्य है। वे बोली बेटा! सीता तुम्हारी माता हैं, सब प्रकार स्नेह करनेवाले राम तुम्हारे पिता हैं। जहाँ सूर्य है, वहीं दिन है इसी प्रकार जहाँ राम रहते हैं, वहाँ अयोध्या है यदि राम-सीता बन जाते हैं तो अयोध्या में तुम्हारे लिये कोई कार्य नहीं है।xxx तुम महान् भाग्यशाली हो, तुमने मुझको भी धन्य कर दिया बेटा! मैं तुम्हारी बलिहारी जाती हैं। जगत् पुत्रवती तो यही युवती है, जिसका पुत्र भगवान् श्रीराघवेन्द्रका भक्त होता है; जो रामविमुख पुत्रसे हित समझती है, उसका तो बाँझ रहना ही अच्छा था।वह तो व्यर्थ ही व्यायी (पशु मादाकी तरह उसने संतान पैदा को बेटा तुम यही समझो कि बस, राम तुम्हारे ही कारण वन जाते हैं। श्रीराम-सीताके चरणों में सहज प्रेम होना ही समस्त सुकृतोंका महान् फल है। राग, क्रोध, ईर्ष्या, मद, मोह-इनके वश स्वप्रमें भी मत होना और सारे विकारोंको छोड़कर तन-मन-वचनसे सेवा करना।’

लक्ष्मणजीके शक्ति लगनेका समाचार पाकर माता सुमित्राने कहा था- रामके काममें जीवनदान करके लक्ष्मण तो धन्य हो गया। अब शत्रुघ्न ! तू जाकर अपने जीवनको सफल कर ।’

धन्य माता, धन्य सौतेली माता और धन्य भगवदनुरागकी मूर्ति सुमित्रा !

Mother Sumitra had said after getting the news of Lakshmanji getting power – Lakshman became blessed by donating his life in the work of Ram. Now Shatrughan! You go and make your life successful.’
