उसके पिता ने कहा: आज, जब से मैंने इस बैंक में प्रवेश किया है, मैं अपने चार दोस्तों से मिल चूका हूं। पैसे ट्रांसफर करवाने के दौरान मैंने बैंक के कर्मचारियों के साथ थोड़ी देर बात की और वो अब मुझे अच्छी तरह से जानते हैं। तुम्हारे जाने के बाद, मैं बिलकुल अकेला हूं। और मुझे इसी तरह की कंपनी की जरूरत है। मुझे तैयार होकर बैंक आना अच्छा लगता है। समय की दिक्कत तुम्हारी पीढ़ी को होगी, मेरे पास पर्याप्त समय है। मुझे चीज़ों की नहीं, मानवीय स्पर्श की ज़रूरत महसूस होती है।
जवाब सुनकर युवक को झटका लगा।
पिता में आगे कहा: दो साल पहले मेरी तबीयत खराब हो गई थी। जिस दुकानदार से मैं फल ख़रीदता हूँ, उसे पता चला तो वह मुझसे मिलने आया और मेरे हालचाल पूछ कर गया। तुम्हारी माँ कुछ दिन पहले मॉर्निंग वॉक के दौरान गिर पड़ी थी। तो जिस व्यक्ति से मैं किराने का सामान लेता हूँ उसने देखा तो वह तुरंत अपनी कार में तुम्हारी मां को घर छोड़कर गया। तो बेटा, अगर मैं सब कुछ ऑनलाइन लूंगा, तो क्या मेरे पास इस तरह का ‘मानवीय’ स्पर्श होगा?
बेटा कुछ बोलता इससे पहले पिता ने कहा: मैं नहीं चाहता कि सब कुछ मुझ तक पहुंचाया जाए और इसके लिए मैं अपने आप को सिर्फ बेज़ुबान, बिना भावनाओं वाले कंप्यूटर से बातचीत करने के लिए सीमित और मजबूर कर लूँ। जिससे मैं कुछ खरीदता हूँ, वो मेरे लिए सिर्फ एक ‘विक्रेता’ नहीं, उससे मेरे मानवीय संबंध बनते हैं। और ये रिश्ते ही हमें इंसान बनाते हैं, हमारी मानवीय ज़रूरतों को पूरा करते हैं, हमें ज़िंदा महसूस करवाते हैं।
अंत में पिता ने पूछा: क्या कोई कंपनी रिश्ते भी ऑनलाइन डिलीवर करती है?
