एक मुंशीजी थे। वे थे तो बड़े अच्छे ओहदेपर, पर थे पुराने पियक्कड़ शराबसे जो हानि होती है वह तो विख्यात है। सारा धन और माल साफ होने लगा। एक दिन काशीके प्रसिद्ध योगी महात्मा श्रीश्यामाचरणलाहिड़ीसे इनकी मुलाकात हुई। उन्होंने बतलाया, ‘भाई! रामनाम कहा करो, और कोई रास्ता नहीं है।’ मुंशीजीने वैसा ही किया। फिर क्या था, सदाके लिये बोतलसे छुट्टी मिल गयी।
There was a Munshiji. He was in a very good position, but he was an old drunkard. The harm caused by alcohol is well known. All the money and goods started getting cleaned. One day he met Mahatma Shrishyamacharanlahidi, the famous Yogi of Kashi. He told, ‘Brother! Say Ramnaam, there is no other way.’ Munshiji did the same. What was it then, I got rid of the bottle forever.
