मिरजका अधिकारी दिलेलखान रातमें गश्त लगाता जयराम स्वामीके कीर्तनमें पहुँचा। स्वामीने कहा- ‘साधुके रास्तेसे जानेपर तत्काल रामका दर्शन मिलता है।’ दूसरे दिन तड़के जयराम स्वामी बुलाये गये खानने कहा – ‘साधु जिस रास्तेसे जाय, मैं चलनेको तैयार हूँ; मुझे आप रामका दर्शन करा दें। नहीं तो झूठ कहनेके लिये आपको कठोर दण्ड भुगतना पड़ेगा।
जाइये, कलतक इसकी व्यवस्था कीजिये।’
जयराम स्वामी बड़े ही असमंजसमें पड़ गये। लगे हाथ वे नदीके किनारे पहुँचे। समर्थ आह्निक कर रहे थे। सारी घटना सुनाकर समर्थसे उन्होंने इस विपत्तिसे उबारनेकी प्रार्थना की। पहले तो उन्होंने जयराम स्वामीको दुत्कार दिया, पर पीछे तैयार हो गये।
खानको सूचना भेजी गयी कि ‘आज ही तुम्हें रामके दर्शन कराये जायँगे। हमलोग आह्निकसे निवृत्त होकर चल रहे हैं। तुम हमारे पीछे-पीछे आना।’खान आकर तैयार हो गया। समर्थ और जयराम स्वामी भी निवृत्त हो चल पड़े। खान उनके पीछे-पीछे चलने लगा ।
कुछ दूर जानेपर मिरजका किला आया। किलेके बाहर कुछ छेद बने थे, जो भीतरसे बंदूकोंका वार करनेके काममें आते थे। समर्थ सूक्ष्म रूप बनाकर चटसे उसके भीतर घुस गये। भीतरसे ही जयराम स्वामीसे कहा- ‘चले आओ वे भी भीतर चले आये।
फिर समर्थने खानसे कहा- ‘खान ! तुम भी जल्दी इसी रास्ते चले आओ, साधु-संत इसी रास्तेसे आये हैं। देखो, ये रामचन्द्र खड़े हैं। जल्दी आओ और उनके दर्शन कर लो।’
खान अपनी मूर्खता और दुष्टतापर बड़ा ही लज्जित हुआ। उसने समर्थसे क्षमा माँगी और भविष्यमें किसी हिंदू साधुसे छेड़-छाड़ न करनेका वचन दिया।

Miraj’s officer Dilelkhan patrolling at night reached Jairam Swami’s kirtan. Swami said- ‘On going through the path of a monk, one gets the darshan of Ram immediately.’ Jairam Swami was called in the early morning of the second day and said – ‘I am ready to walk whichever way the monk goes; You give me the darshan of Ram. Otherwise, you will have to face severe punishment for telling a lie.
Go, arrange it till tomorrow.’
Jairam Swami got very confused. Holding hands they reached the bank of the river. Samarth was making noises. Narrating the whole incident, he prayed to Samarth to get rid of this calamity. At first he scolded Jairam Swami, but later agreed.
Information was sent to Khan that ‘You will be shown Ram’s darshan today itself. We are walking after retiring from the fire. You follow us.’ Khan came and got ready. Samarth and Jairam Swami also retired. Khan started following them.
Mirajka fort came after going some distance. There were some holes made outside the fort, which were used to fire guns from inside. Having made a capable subtle form, Chatse entered inside him. Told Jairam Swami from inside – ‘Come on, they also came inside.
Then Samarthe said to Khan- ‘Khan! You also come on this path soon, sages and saints have come from this path. Look, this Ramchandra is standing. Come quickly and see him.’
Khan was very ashamed of his stupidity and wickedness. He apologized to Samarth and promised not to molest any Hindu monk in future.
