father and son
A businessman lived in a city, who had become poor due to circumstances. He also had a small boy. Due to poverty, the household was not running, so he went abroad to earn money – leaving his wife and son at home. He reached Kashipuri and there he collected a lot of money from trade. Then he thought that some part of the money should also be used for charity. So he started building a huge temple in Kashi itself. By now his son had also turned 12 years old. One day he asked his mother, ‘Where is his father, he has never seen him.’ Mother said – ‘ Son! They have gone to Kashi; When your father left, you were a raincoat. They haven’t come back yet.’ The son said – ‘I go to find them.’ Saying this he left and reached Kashi. Wandered a lot in Kashi, but could not find the father; Because even if they would have come in front of each other, they would not have recognized each other at all. Then the son’s money also ended. Defeated, he went out to work, then reached the place where his father was building a temple. The contractor who got the work done there hired him for wages. He started working there along with other laborers. One day the merchant saw this boy, he seemed to be from a good family, so he asked, ‘Where have you come from? Who are you ? Why do you work here?’ Then the boy narrated the whole situation. The merchant recognized that this is my son, so took him home. After bathing, dressed him in fine clothes and made him the master by making him sit on his throne.
Meaning – O Chitta, understand this much from this story that when a son in the form of a living being searches for his father (God) with great effort, he definitely meets his father. As long as the creature searches outside (Kashipuri), God is not found, when he searches within himself (Kayapuri) then he gets an interview with the Supreme Father.
