दया नहीं, सेवा नहीं- पूजा
आजकल समाजसेवाके नामपर बहुतसे स्वार्थी तत्त्व जिस तरह प्रच्छन्नरूपसे अपने ही हित-साधनमें लगे रहते हैं, ऐसे अपरिपक्व मानव और रुग्ण चित्तवाले व्यक्तियोंकी समाजसेवाका परिणाम दुनिया देख रही है। जिनके चित्त पल-भरके लिये भी स्वस्थ नहीं हैं, महत्त्वाकांक्षाकी व्याधि कैंसर जैसी जिनके अन्तरंगको कुरेदती रहती है, ईर्ष्या और द्वेष, सत्ताकी लालसा जिनको खाये जा रही है, वे क्या सेवा करेंगे? सेवा करनेके लिये स्वस्थ, सन्तुलित व्यक्तित्व चाहिये। फिर ऐसे व्यक्तिके कर्म स्वयं ही सेवा बन जाते हैं। सेवा उसको करनी नहीं पड़ती, क्योंकि सेवा करनेसे भी अहंकार पुष्ट होता है।
श्रीरामकृष्ण परमहंसका अन्त समय समीप था। शिष्य बैठे बातें कर रहे थे—’जीवे दया वैष्णवेर परम धर्म।’ परम्परासे कहते हैं कि वैष्णवका धर्म है जीव दिया। रामकृष्णने सुना तो उनके आँसू झरने लगे। बोले दया करनेवाले तुम कौन होते हो? तुम उन्हें नारायण समझकर पूजा करनेवाले हो सकते हो। तुमको पूजाका अधिकार है, नरमें प्रतिष्ठित नारायणकी। विवेकानन्द समझ गये, बोले आज सत्यको पाया। अब दुनियाको बताऊँगा कि दया नहीं, सेवा नहीं, ‘पूजा’। पूजा अर्थात् सेवा करनी है नरमें प्रतिष्ठित नारायणकी। फिर दूसरोंकी सेवा नहीं करनी पड़ेगी। उसके जीवनसे सेवा झरेगी। जैसे मकरन्द झरता है पुष्पोंसे, चाँदनी झरती है चाँदसे, वैसे प्रेम झरेगा। और प्रेममें जो जीता चला जाता है, उससे जगत्का कल्याण होता है। परमात्मा सेवा करनेके नामपर आडम्बर करने वालोंकी जमातसे जगत्को बचाये।[ सुश्री विमलाजी ठकार ]
No mercy, no service – worship
Nowadays, in the name of social service, the way many selfish elements are disguisedly engaged in their own interests, the world is seeing the result of social service of such immature human beings and sick minded people. Those whose mind is not healthy even for a moment, whose disease of ambition keeps on scratching their inner being like cancer, who are being consumed by jealousy and hatred, lust for power, how will they serve? A healthy, balanced personality is needed to do service. Then the actions of such a person themselves become service. He does not have to do service, because doing service also strengthens the ego.
The end time of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa was near. The disciples were sitting and talking – ‘Jive Daya Vaishnavar Param Dharma’. Traditionally it is said that the religion of Vaishnava is given to the soul. When Ramakrishna heard, his tears started falling. Said, who are you to show mercy? You can worship him considering him as Narayan. You have the right to worship, Narayan is revered in the soft. Vivekananda understood, said he found the truth today. Now I will tell the world that there is no mercy, no service, ‘worship’. To worship means to serve Narayan, who is soft and respected. Then you will not have to serve others. Service will flow from his life. As nectar flows from flowers, moonlight flows from the moon, so love will flow. And the one who goes on living in love, benefits the world.
