सनातन शास्त्रों के अनुसार वैशाख माह में शुक्लपक्ष की तृतीया को जगत के पालनहार भगवान विष्णुजी परशुरामजी के रूप में पृथ्वी लोक पर अवतरित हुए थे। अतः इस तिथि पर परशुराम जयंती मनाई जाती है। इस प्रकार साल २०२३ में २२ अप्रैल को परशुराम जयंती है। इस दिन अक्षय तृतीया भी है।

यह पर्व देशभर में हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाया जाता है। कई जगहों पर शोभा यात्रा का भी आयोजन किया जाता है। धार्मिक मान्यता है कि इस दिन भगवान परशुराम की पूजा उपासना करने से साधक को अमोघ फल की प्राप्ति होती है। प्रस्तुत है, पूजा विधि और कथा-

कथा-
सनातन शास्त्र के अनुसार, चिरकाल में महिष्मती नगर में क्षत्रिय नरेश सहस्रबाहु का शासन था। राजा सहस्रबाहु क्रूर और निर्दयी था। उसके अत्याचार से प्रजा में त्राहिमाम मच गया। लोग अपने राजा से निराश और हताश थे। उस समय माता पृथ्वी, जगत के पालनहार भगवान विष्णु के पास गईं। माता पृथ्वी के आने का औचित्य श्रीहरि को पूर्व से ज्ञात था। इसके लिए माता पृथ्वी को आश्वासन दिया कि आने वाले समय में सहस्रबाहु के अत्याचार का अंत अवश्य होगा। जब-जब किसी अधर्मी द्वारा धर्म पतन करने की कोशिश की जाती है। उस समय धर्म स्थापना के लिए मैं जरूर अवतरित होता हूं।

आगे उन्होंने कहा- हे देवी! मैं महर्षि जमदग्नि के घर पुत्र रूप में अवतार लेकर सहस्रबाहु का वध करूंगा। आगे चलकर वैशाख माह में शुक्लपक्ष की तृतीया को जगत के पालनहार विष्णुजी, परशुराम रूप में अवतरित हुए। कालांतर में परशुराम भगवान ने क्षत्रिय नरेश सहस्रबाहु का वध कर पृथ्वी वासियों को सहस्रबाहु के अत्याचार, भय और आतंक से मुक्त किया। उस समय भगवान परशुराम के क्रोध को महर्षि ऋचीक ने शांत किया था।

पूजा विधि-
इस दिन ब्रह्म मुहूर्त में उठकर और सबसे पहले भगवान श्रीहरि विष्णु को प्रणाम करें। इसके बाद नित्य कर्मों से निवृत होकर गंगाजल युक्त पानी से स्नान करें। अब आचमन कर नवीन वस्त्र पहनें। इसके बाद सूर्यदेव को जल का अर्घ्य दें और भगवान परशुराम की पूजा उपासना करें। भगवान को पीले रंग के पुष्प और पीले रंग की मिठाई अर्पित करें। अंत में आरती कर परिवार के कुशल मंगल की कामना करें। इस दिन व्रत करने वाले साधक को निराहार रहना चाहिए। संध्या काल में आरती-अर्चना करने के बाद फलाहार करें। अगले दिन पूजा-पाठ के पश्चात भोजन ग्रहण करें।

This festival is celebrated with enthusiasm across the country. Shobha Yatra is also organized at many places. It is a religious belief that by worshiping Lord Parshuram on this day, the seeker gets immense results. Presenting, worship method and story-

Story- According to Sanatan Shastra, once upon a time Mahishmati city was ruled by Kshatriya King Sahasrabahu. King Sahasrabahu was cruel and merciless. Due to his tyranny, there was a furore among the people. The people were disappointed and frustrated with their king. At that time Mother Earth went to Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the world. Shri Hari had already known the justification for the arrival of Mother Earth. For this he assured Mother Earth that Sahasrabahu’s tyranny would definitely end in the coming times. Whenever an unrighteous person tries to destroy religion. At that time, I definitely incarnate for the establishment of religion.

Further he said – O Goddess! I will kill Sahasrabahu by incarnating as a son in the house of Maharishi Jamdagni. Later on, in the month of Vaishakh, on the third day of Shukla Paksha, Vishnuji, the protector of the world, incarnated in the form of Parshuram. In time, Lord Parshuram killed the Kshatriya king Sahasrabahu and freed the people of the earth from the tyranny, fear and terror of Sahasrabahu. At that time the anger of Lord Parshuram was pacified by Maharishi Richik.

Worship method- On this day get up in Brahma Muhurta and first of all bow down to Lord Sri Hari Vishnu. After this, after retiring from daily rituals, take a bath with water containing Ganges water. Now wear new clothes after coming. After this offer water to Suryadev and worship Lord Parshuram. Offer yellow colored flowers and yellow colored sweets to God. In the end, do aarti and pray for the well-being of the family. The seeker who fasts on this day should remain fasting. After performing aarti-archana in the evening, eat fruits. Take food after worship the next day.
