एक बार काग्भुशुण्ड ने ब्रह्मा जी से कहा – राम ने जब दशरथ के घर में जन्म लिया तो उन्होंने कैसा रूप धारण किया हे ब्रह्मन् ! आप मुझे बतायें वे कैसे भाव वाले थे उनके आचार क्या थे।
ब्रह्मा ने उत्तर में कहा- कौसल्यानन्दन उन्होंने चैत्रमास के शुक्लपक्ष में नवमी तिथि जब श्री पुनर्वसु नक्षत्र था और यह अभिजित् नाम का योग था- इस शुभकाल में जन्म लिया। मनुष्य रूप में होते हुए भी जन्म लेने के साथ ही वे मेघों के समान वर्ण एवं आकृतियुक्त थे, पीताम्बर धारण किये थे, मुस्कुराते हुए मुखकमल, दोनों भुजाओं में श्रेष्ठ बाण आदि से चिन्हित और अपने वाम भाग में उत्तमा श्री को विराजित किये थे।
उस समय वे बहुमूल्य क्या अमूल्य रत्नाभूषणों से सुसज्जित, झिलमिलाते हुए कुण्डलों से सुशोभित मुख, कौस्तुभ मणि निर्मित हार को कण्ठ में धारण करने से- उसकी किरणों से सूतिकागृह को प्रकाशित कर रहे थे। कामदेव के लावण्य की परार्ध सम्पदा वाले, उनके सभी अंगों में मनोहर छवि उज्ज्वलता के साथ व्याप्त थी। शृंगार भंगिमाओं के रस का संकेत देने वाले तिरछे दृष्टिपातों से कमला का मनोविनोद करते हुए उन्हें पूर्ण गर्भ के उद्भव से आई नींद वाली कौसल्या ने जाना कि यह जन्म का लक्षण है।
तब दूर्वादल को अञ्जलि में रखकर शोभित हाथों वाले सन्देशहरों द्वारा नृप श्री दशरथ को शुभ समाचार प्राप्त कराया। वेग से आये राजा के द्वारा वासुदेवादि अपने अंशों द्वारा उत्पन्न विग्रहों से दिव्य एवं आसेवित चारों रूपों में देखे गये।
देखकर उनके नेत्रों में महान् विस्मय हुआ क्योंकि नवजात बालक में ऐसे लक्षण इसके पूर्व देखे क्या सुने भी नहीं गये थे। दशरथ विस्मय विमुग्ध होकर भी उन आदि पुरुष परब्रह्म को पहचान गये और तथ्य जानकर वैदिक मन्त्रों शब्दों से स्तुति करके उनको आनन्द प्रदान किया। जिनका बल कभी च्युत (गिरता) नहीं होता। उन राम को नमस्कार, हे रघुनन्दन ! तुम्हें अनेक नमन, रमण करने योग्य राम को और राघव को, स्वयं जन्म लेने वाले लक्ष्मीपति परात्पर श्रीराम को पुनः – पुनः प्रणाम ।
यह जो अपने भक्तों पर आपकी दया है और दुष्टों को क्रूरता से देखना है, विश्व की रचना पालन-पोषण और संहार की लीला करते हुए जगाते हो- यह तो तुम्हारा परखना है, विश्व की रचना दो भुजाधारी उनको जन्म लेते ही दिव्यरूप में देखकर ये साक्षात् सीतापति है, यह स्वभाव है। कौसल्या नो से स्तवन किया। अहो ये युगल नेत्र अत्यन्त भाग्यशाली व धन्य हैं जो तुम्हारे रूपामृतकामधार कार हुए आकण्ठ तृप्त हैं। हमें निमेष (पलक झपकना) असह्य होता है क्योंकि उस काल में हम करवपति आपके रूप ज्योत्सना से वञ्चित हो जाते हैं। अत्यन्त आनन्द का विषय है-दोनों कुल धन्य हुए उससे अधिक दोनों नेत्र धन्य हैं, और क्या कहें यह धरणीतल ही धन्यतम है जिसे आपके साथ हरि का संयोग उपलब्ध हुआ अर्थात् आपने विष्णु के साथ स्वयं यहाँ अवतार लिया। अहो यह रूप अतीव सुन्दर है, पृथ्वी लोक पर रहने वाले लोगों ने पहले नहीं देखा। हे नरोत्तम ! रमापति विष्णु के लक्षणों से युक्त आप श्री रामचन्द्र माने गये हैं ।
वेद मन्त्रों में जिनका वर्णन करने की सामर्थ्य नहीं, मन की गति भी जहाँ निवृत्त हो जाती है, अचिन्त्य शक्ति से उत्पन्न, युक्तियों से सिद्ध न हो सकने वाले परब्रह्म ने हमारे मानव कुल में अवतार लिया। हे ईश ! आप गायों, ब्राह्मणों, धर्म, वेदों तथा अपने उपासकों का कल्याण करने वाले हैं आपने सूर्यवंश, जो श्रेष्ठ एवं सुविख्यात हैं उसे अपने पौरुष पराक्रम से महायशस्वी किया।
🌿🪷 जन्मोत्सव वर्णन🪷
राम जन्मोत्सव – तब प्रमुदित हुए दुन्दुभिवादकों ने राजभवन के प्रांगण में देव दुन्दुभियाँ बजायीं। विद्याधरों एवं किन्नरी गणों ने जन्मोत्सव के अनुरूप गीतों का गायन किया। देवताओं ने तुरही के नाद से आनन्द निमग्न होकर देववृक्षों पारिजातादि के पुष्पों को बरसाया। पुष्पगुच्छों की वृष्टि की। स्वर्ग में स्थित देव भवनों के आँगन में शृंगार करके देवांगनायें भावविभोर हो नृत्य करने लगीं। रामजन्म से दिशाओं में इतना आनन्द हुआ कि चतुर्दिक प्रवाहित होने वाला मन्द-मन्द समीरण अंगों को सुखकर लगा। सूर्य रश्मियाँ अपने स्वर्णिम प्रकाश से नभस्थल को निर्मल दर्पण की भाँति कान्ति प्रदान कर रही थीं। उसी प्रकार काल ने अपने आधिदैविक गुणों को संतत (निरन्तर) प्रदर्शित किया। यह जानकर कि सर्वेश्वर सर्वत्र व्यापक परमात्मन् ने पृथ्वी पर जन्म लिया- रमा ने भी अपने अंशों सहित अवतार लिया।
उस समय सरयू के दोनों सुन्दर तट रत्नों से सुसज्जित के समान स्वर्ण निर्मित प्रतीत हुए। सरयू नदी के घाट दीपकों के प्रकाश पुष्पों की सज्जा और आभूषणों के वैभव से जगमगा उठे- वैभव अपने चरम पार और उल्लास अपने परम रूप को प्रकट कर रहा था। स्वयं सरयू अपनी स्वर्णमयी बालुका के सवाथ चन्द्रमा की निर्मल ज्योत्स्ना से रुपहली आभा को प्राप्त हुयी। साकेत के सब वृक्ष वनस्पतियाँकल्पवृक्ष देवतरु सदृश समस्त निधियों को प्रदान करने वाले हुए। दिव्य समृद्धि से ऐश्वर्य को प्राप्त हुए वे सब ऐसे प्रतीत हुए मानों वे सब वैकुण्ठ लोक में कमला निकेतन के परिसर में लगे हों ।
जातकर्म संस्कार – स्नान के बाद राजा दशरथ मूँछे सँवार कर श्रीसम्पन्न हुए, अलंकार धारण करके विधिपूर्वक जातकर्मसंस्कार द्विजों से सम्पन्न कराया। जातकर्मोत्सव / कामोत्सव (यथेच्छ प्रकार से रामजन्म का उत्सव मनाया गया) में राजा दशरथ ने परम आनन्द से करोड़ों की स्वर्णरत्नजटित अलंकारों से सजी गायें विप्रों को दान कीं। वादकों, गायकों और नर्तकों के समूह के समूह राजभवन में हर्षोल्लास का वातावरण बना रहे थे प्रसन्न हो कर राजा ने उन्हें भी उनकी कामना से भी अधिक कीमती वस्त्र आभूषण/वाहन आदि उपहृत किये। नगर की गणमान्य तथा नृत्य गीतादि में निपुण महिलायें भी रामजन्म का उत्सव मनाने के लिये राजभवन में झुण्ड की झुण्ड आ रही थीं और अपने मधुर स्वर में मंगलगीत गाते हुए साकेत को संगीतमय कर रही थीं। महाराज दशरथ यथेच्छ वैभव लुटाकर इनका सम्मान और अपना उल्लास व्यक्त कर रहे थे। उन्होंने (राजा दशरथ ने) बन्धु बान्धवों को, आत्मीय परिचितों को, अन्य-अन्य राज्यों से बधाई देने के लिये आये राजाओं महाराजाओं को सम्मान देते हुए कीमती आभूषणों के उपहार प्रदान किये। पुत्र जन्म विवाहादि अवसरों पर नेग देने की प्रथा उस समय भी थी। लोकगीतों में विशेष उल्लेख इस प्रकार के आचारों का मिलता है। प्रायः स्वर्ण रत्नजटित हार, कंगन और कीमती वस्त्र दिये जाते थे।
जातकर्म संस्कार की विधि, पूजा, हवनादि सम्पन्न करने के लिये द्विजों, पुरोहितों का समुदाय वहाँ उपस्थित था, उन सबने प्रेमपूर्वक प्रभूत दक्षिणादि प्राप्त करके सन्तुष्ट होकर हृदय से आशीर्वाद दिया एवं कुमारों के सर्वविध कल्याण के लिये स्वस्ति वाचन किया। स्वस्त्ययन में वेदमन्त्रों द्वारा यजमान के अभ्युदय, पुत्रपौत्रादि के कुशलक्षेम, धनसम्पदा, यश कीर्त्ति प्राप्त करने की मङ्गलकामना की जाती है। यज्ञों का समापन इसी प्रकार के पुण्याहवाचन से होता है। तब आस्थान मण्डप में महाराजा दशरथ के आसीन होने पर हाथ में दूर्वादल लेकर पुरवासियों ने पहले परस्पर एक दूसरे को बधाई दी फिर राजा का अभिनन्दन किया।
उस जन्ममहोत्सव में विद्वानों/रसिक जनों ने तरह-तरह के वेश धारण कर मुख पर विविध रंगों से चित्र रचना करके हास्यजनक परिहास का वातावरण बनाया- इससे जन्म के अवसर पर कौतुक विनोद की वृद्धि हुयी मित्रों और साधुओं ने उसी प्रकार भक्तों और देवर्षियों ने यहाँ तक कि कोटि-कोटि ब्रह्माण्डों के स्वामियों ने, कोटियों महेन्द्रों ने ब्रह्मादि अशेष देवों ने कोटि-कोटि यमों ने, वरुणों ने और कोटियों कुबेरों ने कोटि-कोटि रुद्रों ने सम्भाग लिया। प्रमोद से रञ्जित रागरङ्ग में तल्लीन होकर सिद्धों गन्धवों की भाँति अन्य दिव्य योनियों के आकाशचारी आनन्दित होकर नृत्य करने लगे। शुभवेष धारण किये हुए सभी ग्रह (सूर्य, चन्द्र, मंगल, बुध, गुरु, शुक्र, शनि, राहु, केतु) अपने-अपने गृहों में स्वरूप में पूर्णलक्षण युक्त हो कर स्थित हुए। राम की जन्मपत्रिका में सभी ग्रहों की शुभ स्थिति दर्शायी गयी है। कोटि ब्रह्माण्डों में जितनी सम्पदायें हो सकती हैं वे सब एक साथ सहसा ही वहाँ आ विराजीं।
राजा दशरथ पिता बने’- यह समाचार दिग् दिगन्त तक फैल गया, फलतः दूर-दूर से राजागण बहुमूल्य उपहार लेकर महान् मोद को प्रकट करते हुए उस रामजन्मोत्सव में शुभकामनायें देने के लिये पधारे। दूर्वादल लेकर उपस्थित हुए उन सभी राजाओं को राजा दशरथ ने भी प्रभूत/दर्शनोपहार प्रदान किये। साथ में बहुत से दिव्य आभूषण, वस्त्र, वस्तुयें, उपहृत कीं। इस प्रकार हार्दिक सम्मान प्राप्त कर उन राजाओं ने परस्पर अपने-अपने भाग्य की, राजा के और कुमारों के भाग्यवर्द्धन की बार-बार कामना की। प्रजाजन ने कहा- अहो मंगलों के आलय राजा दशरथ अत्यन्त भाग्यवान् हैं जिन्होंने आयु के उत्तरार्द्ध में पुत्रों की प्राप्ति कर इस अवस्था को भी धन्य कर लिया। अहो उनके कुमारों को दीर्घायुष्य प्राप्त हो हमारे भाग्य से ईश्वराकार ये चिरजीवी हों। हे विधाता ! आप ही धन्यतम हैं कि आपने राजा दशरथ का और हमारा मनोरथ पूर्ण किया। मानवलोक अब भव्यता को प्राप्त हुआ क्यों कि समस्त कलाओं से परिपूर्ण स्वयं परब्रह्म ने यहाँ मानवरूप में जन्म लिया।
ब्रह्मादि समस्त देवताओं ने तथा वसिष्ठादि सभी देवर्षियों ने मंगलाशिष प्रदान किये जिससे कुमारों को दीर्घायुष्य होना सुनिश्चित है। धात्रियों के द्वारा विधिपूर्वक मालिश आदि करके शिशुओं को स्नान कराया जाता है, फिर उन्हें पोंछकर आभूषणों से सजाया जाता है इस प्रकार और भी अधिक भव्यता को प्राप्त कर वे रत्नाकर से निकले हुए रत्नों के समान शोभित होते हैं। सूतिका गृह में मंगलाचार सम्पादित करते हुए माताओं द्वारा उनकी आरती उतारी गयी। गुग्गुल, लोबान आदि के धूम्र से तपित करके उनके ऊपर किसी प्रकार की अशुभ छाया न पड़े इसका उपाय किया गया, नेत्रों के कोने से निकाल कर काजल का टीका लगा कर यह स्नेह पुष्ट किया गया कि मातायें शिशुओं की चिन्ता में शंका की सीमा तक सावधान हैं। चाहे कितने ही महौजस बलशाली हों, कुमार हैं तो अभी शिशु ही इसलिये मातायें कोई त्रुटि नहीं कर सकतीं ।
दिन-दिन बढ़ते हुए शिशु अंगों में लावण्य आने से अति सुन्दर लगते थे। अभी उनके दाँत नहीं दिखाई दिये थे उनका मुख बहुत ही मनोहर लगता था। नगरवासियों के आशीषों से जनों के मनोरथों से बढ़ते हुए प्रतिदिन अधिकाधिक शोभित होने लगे। उन सबके बीच अत्यधिक रूप लावण्य से युक्त होने के कारण राम सबको सर्वाधिक आकर्षित करते थे सुमित्रा के पुत्र कमल के सदृश नेत्र वाले राम के समान कान्ति प्राप्त कर विशेष सौन्दर्यशाली थे। भरत और शत्रुघ्न भी प्रभामण्डल से युक्त समान बाल्यावस्था में परम शोभा से सम्पन्न हुए। दशरथ का क्या कहना वह तो साक्षात् सदा समृद्ध, सुविशाल, ऐश्वर्यमण्डित इन्दिरा निवास ही हो गया था। रामजन्म का मंगल सम्पन्न होने पर वह किसी निराली मनोहर शोभा से जगमग हो रहा था। उसी प्रकार लक्ष्मण आदि बालक आविर्भूत हुए जिनको प्राप्त कर राजा ने सम्पूर्ण मनोरथों को प्राप्त कर लिया।

Once Kagbhusund said to Lord Brahma – When Ram was born in Dasharatha’s house, what form did he take, O Brahmin! You tell me what kind of feelings they had, what were their morals.
Brahma said in reply – Kausalyanandan, he was born in this auspicious period, on the ninth day of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month, when there was Shri Punarvasu Nakshatra and it was a yoga named Abhijit. Despite being born in human form, he had the complexion and shape similar to the clouds, wore a yellow flag, had a smiling lotus face, was marked with superior arrows etc. in both the arms and had seated Uttama Shri in his left side.
At that time, he was adorned with precious and priceless jewels, his face decorated with shimmering earrings, wearing a necklace made of Kaustubha gem around his neck, illuminating the Sutikagriha with its rays. Having half the beauty of Kamadeva, his beautiful image was spread with brightness in all his body parts. While amusing Kamala with oblique glances indicating the pleasure of adorning postures, Kausalya, who was drowsy from the birth of a full womb, understood that this was a sign of birth.
Then, keeping Durvadal in Anjali, the good news was conveyed to Shri Dasharatha by the messengers with beautiful hands. Vasudeva was seen in all four forms divine and blessed by the idols generated from his parts by the king who came with haste.
Seeing this, there was great surprise in their eyes because such symptoms in a newborn child had never been seen or even heard of before. Dasharatha, despite being filled with astonishment, recognized those primal men as Parabrahma and after knowing the fact, he gave him joy by praising him with the words of Vedic mantras. Whose strength never wanes. Salutations to that Ram, O Raghunandan! Many salutations to you, salutations again and again to the deserving Ram and Raghav, to Lord Lakshmi Paratpar Shri Ram who was born himself.
This kindness of yours towards your devotees and seeing the wicked with cruelty, you create the world while playing the game of nurturing and destruction – this is your test, you created the world and seeing him in divine form with two arms as soon as he was born, this He is Sitapati in reality, this is his nature. Eulogized with Kausalya no. Oh, these pair of eyes are very fortunate and blessed, who are eagerly satisfied with your form of love. Nimesh (blinking of the eyelids) is unbearable for us because during that time we, Karvapati, are deprived of the light of your form. It is a matter of great joy – both the families are blessed, more than that both the eyes are blessed, what more can I say, this earth itself is the most blessed which got the union of Hari with you, that is, you yourself incarnated here along with Vishnu. Oh, this form is very beautiful, people living on earth have never seen it before. Hey Narottam! You are considered to be Shri Ramchandra who has the characteristics of Ramapati Vishnu.
Which cannot be described in the Veda mantras, where even the movement of the mind ceases to exist, the Supreme Brahma, which is generated from the unthinkable power, which cannot be proven through methods, incarnated in our human family. Hey Ish! You are the welfare giver of cows, Brahmins, religion, Vedas and your worshippers. You made the Surya dynasty, which is excellent and well-known, very successful with your manly valor.
🌿🪷 Birthday Description🪷
Ram Janmotsav – Then the happy Dundubhi players played Dev Dundubhi in the courtyard of Raj Bhavan. Vidyadhars and Kinnari groups sang songs as per the birth anniversary. The gods rejoiced with the sound of the trumpet and showered flowers on the deity trees, Parijata etc. Showered with flower clusters. After adorning themselves in the courtyard of the divine buildings situated in heaven, the goddesses started dancing with great emotion. There was so much joy in the directions due to Ram’s birth that the gentle breeze flowing all around felt soothing to the organs. The sun rays were making the sky shine like a clear mirror with their golden light. Similarly, Kaal displayed its divine qualities continuously. Knowing that the Supreme Lord, the omnipresent Supreme Being, took birth on earth – Rama also incarnated along with his parts.
At that time both the beautiful banks of Saryu appeared to be made of gold as if adorned with gems. The ghats of river Saryu were illuminated with the light of lamps, floral arrangements and jewelery – splendor was at its peak and joy was manifesting its ultimate form. Saryu itself acquired a silvery glow from the pure light of the moon around its golden sand. All the trees of Saket were the ones that provide all the wealth like plants, Kalpavriksha and Gods. All those who were blessed with divine prosperity appeared as if they were living in the premises of Kamala Niketan in the Vaikuntha world.
Jaatkarma Sanskar – After bathing, King Dashrath became blessed by grooming his moustache, donned the ornaments and performed the Jatkarma Sanskar ritually with the Dwijas. In the Jaatkarmotsav/Kamotsav (celebration of Ram’s birth as per the wish), King Dashrath with great joy donated cows adorned with ornaments worth crores of gold and gems to Vipras. The group of musicians, singers and dancers were creating an atmosphere of joy in the royal palace. The king was pleased and gifted them more expensive clothes, jewellery/vehicles etc. than they had desired. The dignitaries of the city and the women skilled in dance and Geeta etc. were also coming to the Raj Bhavan in droves to celebrate the birth of Ram and were making the Saket musical by singing Mangal Geet in their melodious voices. Maharaj Dashrath was expressing his respect and joy by lavishing all the splendor as per his wish. He (King Dasharatha) gave gifts of precious jewelery to his relatives, close acquaintances and the kings and emperors who came from other states to congratulate him. There was a tradition of giving Neg on occasions like birth of a son, marriage etc. even at that time. There is special mention of this type of conduct in folk songs. Often gold studded necklaces, bracelets and expensive clothes were given.
A community of Brāhmaṇas and priests were present there to perform the ritual of Jatakarma ritual, worship, Havana etc. They all lovingly received abundant alms and others and were satisfied and gave blessings from the heart and recited Swasti for all kinds of welfare of the boys. In Swastyayana, Vedic mantras are used to wish the prosperity of the priest, the well-being of his sons and grandsons, wealth, fame and glory. The sacrifices are concluded with the same kind of Punyahavachan. Then, when Maharaja Dasaratha was seated in the Asthan Mandap, the inhabitants of the city, holding Durvadal in their hands, first congratulated each other and then greeted the king.
In that birth festival, scholars/artists dressed up in different types of clothes and painted faces with various colors to create an atmosphere of humorous banter – this increased the sense of humor on the occasion of birth. Similarly, friends and sages, devotees and sisters-in-law here Till crores of lords of the universes, crores of Mahendras, Brahmadi Asesh Devas, crores of Yamas, Varuns, crores of Kuberas and crores of Rudras took part. Engrossed in the joyous colours, the sky-carriers of other celestial bodies, like the Siddhas and Gandhavs, started dancing with joy. All the planets wearing auspicious attire (Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu) were situated in their respective houses with full characteristics in form. The auspicious position of all the planets has been shown in Ram’s horoscope. All the wealth that could be there in millions of universes suddenly appeared there together.
‘King Dasharatha became a father’ – this news spread far and wide, as a result, kings from far and wide came with precious gifts to express their great joy and wish them on the occasion of Ram’s birth anniversary. King Dasharatha also gave gifts to all the kings who were present with their entourage. Along with this many divine jewellery, clothes and objects were also stolen. Having thus received heartfelt respect, those kings repeatedly wished each other for their respective fortunes, for the fortunes of the king and those of the Kumaras. The people said – Oh King Dasharatha, the abode of auspicious events, is very fortunate who has blessed this state by having sons in the latter part of his life. Oh, may their sons get long life and by our luck may they live long like God. O Creator! You are the blessed one that you fulfilled the wishes of King Dashrath and us. The human world now attained grandeur because Parabrahma himself, full of all arts, took birth here in human form.
All the gods including Brahma and all the goddesses like Vashishtha provided blessings due to which the Kumars are assured of long life. The babies are bathed by the midwives, massaged etc. in a systematic way, then they are wiped and decorated with ornaments. In this way, they attain even more grandeur and become beautiful like the gems coming out of Ratnakar. Aarti was performed by the mothers while reciting Mangalachar in Sutika Griha. A solution was taken to ensure that no inauspicious shadow falls on them by warming them with the smoke of Guggulu, Loban etc., by removing kajal from the corner of the eyes and applying it to strengthen the affection that mothers should be careful to the extent of doubt while worrying about their babies. Are. No matter how strong Mahoujas may be, Kumar is still an infant and hence mothers cannot commit any mistake. Day by day the child grew and looked very beautiful as his body parts became more beautiful. His teeth were not yet visible and his face looked very charming. With the blessings of the townspeople and the wishes of the people, it started becoming more and more beautiful every day. Among all of them, Ram attracted everyone the most due to his extremely beautiful appearance. Sumitra’s son was especially beautiful, having eyes like that of Ram and having radiance like that of Ram. Bharat and Shatrughan too were blessed with supreme beauty in the same childhood with aura. What can Dashrath say, it had always been a prosperous, spacious and opulent Indira Niwas. When the auspicious occasion of Ram’s birth was over, it was shining with some unique and beautiful beauty. In the same way, Lakshman and other children appeared and after receiving them the king achieved all his desires.
