परमात्मा पर्याप्त है

अनेकों तरह से अनेक सम्पत्तियों की खोज में बाहर भटका। बाहरी खोज से उसे तृप्ति नहीं मिली । फिर स्वयं में, अपने ही अन्दर सम्पत्ति की खोज-बीन शुरू की। जो मिला वही परमात्मा था। औरउसे पा लेना ही सम्पत्ति है।
पुरानी कथा है, किसी चारण ने एक सम्राट की बहुत तारीफ की। उसकी स्तुति में अनेक सुन्दर गीत गाए। यह सब उसने कुछ पाने की लालसा से किया। उसकी प्रशंसाओं से सम्राट हंसता रहा। फिर उसने स्तुति गान करने वाले उस चारण को सोने की बहुत सी मुहरें भेंट कीं। उस व्यक्ति ने जब इन मुहरों पर निगाह डाली, तो उसके अन्दर कुछ कौंध गया। एक चमक उसकी चेतना में बिखर गयी।
उसने आकाश की ओर कृतज्ञता भरी नजरों से देखा। लगा आकाश भी मौन स्वरों में उसके अन्तर भावों के साथ सहमति जता रहा है। अब उसने मुहरें फेंक दी और वह नाचने लगा। एक अनूठी कृतज्ञता उसके मुख पर छा गयी। उसका हाल कुछ का कुछ हो गया। उन मुहरों को देखकर उसमें न मालुम कैसी क्रान्ति हो गयी थी। अब वह चारण न रहा, सन्त हो गया। उसकी अन्तर्चेतना में कामना की बजाय प्रार्थना के स्वर गूँजने लगे।
बहुत वर्षों बाद किसी ने उससे पूछा, ऐसा क्या था उन मुहरों में? क्या वे जादुई थीं। वह हंसा और बोला, मुहरें नहीं, वह वाक्य जादुई था, जो उसमें लिखा था। कुछ पलों की आत्म निमग्नता के बाद उसने अपनी बात पूरी की, उस पर लिखा था ‘जीवन की सभी आवश्यकताओं के लिए परमात्मा पर्याप्त है।’
सच ही ‘परमात्मा पर्याप्त है।’ जो जानते हैं, वे सभी इस सच की गवाही देते हैं। यह जीवन की गहरी अनुभूति है, जिनके पास सब कुछ है, सारा ऐश्वर्य है, ईश्वर के बिना वे दरिद्र दिखाई देते हैं। और ऐसे सम्पत्तिशाली भी मिले, जिनके पास कुछ भी नहीं, केवल परमात्मा है। तभी यह सूत्र प्रकट हुआ, जिन्हें सब पाना है, उन्हें सब छोड़ देना होगा। जो सब छोड़ने का साहस रखते हैं, वे स्वयं प्रभु को पा लेते हैं। उनके सामने यह सच अनायास ही उजागर हो जाता है, कि ‘परमात्मा पर्याप्त है।’

Wandered out in search of many properties in many ways. He did not get satisfaction from external search. Then started searching for wealth within himself. What I got was God. And getting it is the wealth. There is an old story, a charan praised an emperor a lot. Many beautiful songs were sung in his praise. He did all this out of longing to get something. The emperor laughed at his praises. Then he presented many gold seals to that charan who was singing praises. When that person looked at these seals, something flashed inside him. A spark flashed in his consciousness. He looked at the sky with grateful eyes. Felt like the sky is also agreeing with his inner feelings in silent voices. Now he threw away the seals and he started dancing. A unique gratitude appeared on his face. His condition has become worse. Don’t know what kind of revolution took place in him after seeing those seals. Now he is no more a charan, he has become a saint. Instead of wishes, voices of prayer started echoing in his subconscious. After many years someone asked him, what was it like in those seals? Were they magical? He laughed and said, not the seals, the sentence was magical, which was written in it. After a few moments of self-absorption, he completed his statement, writing on it ‘God is sufficient for all the needs of life.’ The truth is ‘God is enough.’ All those who know testify to this truth. This is the deep feeling of life, those who have everything, all the opulence, without God they appear poor. And such wealthy people were also found, who have nothing but God. That’s why this formula appeared, those who want to get everything, they have to leave everything. Those who have the courage to leave all, find the Lord himself. This truth is spontaneously revealed to them, that ‘God is enough’.
